I am running CentOs 5. I am trying to install an RPM for a tn5250 program to connect to my I5 server. Whe i run yum install on the rpm it tells me the public hey for the rpm is not installed. What can I do to det this installed?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm no expert on DHCP. My problem is that i have a CentOS 5.5 server on which i want to install a DHCP server. I have two NICs where eth0 has access to the internet and where eth1 should act as an DHCP server.
I have installed dhcpd and this is how my dhcpd.conf file looks like.

When i start dhcpd on eth1 i get no error messages but when i connect any devices to eth1 they don't get any IP. I cant find anything in any logs about devices trying to get an IP address. I dont have any firewall rules in iptables.
I don't know how to work repository system.

I must connect my apache server to a SQL Server 2008 and use the native instructions (mssql_connect)...in ubuntu this is provided by php5-sybase but in centos this rpm does't exists. How I can connect to SQL Server? I must compile php from source? Is There a way to use the freetds driver?

I've tried editing the make file and changing CC=gcc to CC='gcc -m32" and that doesn't work. I have also tried to use "make CC='gcc -m32' and that doesn't work either. It wont compile. Do I need to install something with yum to get 32bit compiler to work?

I'm trying to set up a server for an NPO who connects to the Internet through an internal proxy (Websense). I can't access the Internet unless through the proxy.
Since it's a server I did not install a GUI so I'm wondering how to connect the new server to said proxy server. I have the IP address, port number and username-password for the proxy server. The new server has a static IP address and is ready too go!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI usually used freebsd. Now I decided to try linux and selected CentOS 5.5. I installed it on my notebook Acer Aspire 5930G (I tried both i386 and x86_64 versions) and I have problems with cable networking. I selected static network configuration during install. Internet access is working via NAT on freebsd server.
I can ping anything in my LAN, I can ping any host in internet, nslookup works fine, but nothing else isn't working. I can't wget even in my LAN, can't connect to FTP server in my LAN etc. The same with internet hosts. Iptables turned off, iptables -l shows that all chains are in ACCEPT. SElinux turned off. NAT for accessing internet works fine - when I reboot to windows 7 with same network config internet is working. I guess this could be problem with driver for my NIC - Marvell Yukon 88E8071 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet. But I can't change it on notebook :)
