Ubuntu :: Flash With Firefox With A Certain Internet Site

At 1 of the computers I have a problem with a certain internet site. Maybe other sites give problems too, but I'm not aware of that. I get this problem with the following site [URL] At the other computers the site is interactive. Normally you could enter an address on the left and also place markers on the map at the right. On the other computers everything works fine. But on this certain computer, the site still indicates that it is loading, and nothing else happens.
I uninstalled flash, firefox, and java. I also remove the folders .mozilla, and .macromedia, restarted the computer, and installed firefox again. Then I installed macromedia flash and java. But when I started that certain site, the problem exists. At last, I installed Google Chromium. With this browser everything works fine.

I just installed firefox and flash-plugin.The version of firefox is 3.0.10, package is firefox-3.0.10-1.el5.centos.The version of flash-plugin is 10.0.22.87, package is flash-plugin-10.0.22.87-1.el5.rf.But firefox crashes when there is flash in web page, unless disable flash plugin in firefox.

I'm running xubuntu 10.04 32bit on this particular machine, and have embedded flash video from blip.tv not showing in my browsers (Chromium daily, and Firefox). The site in question is [URL] These videos show on my other machines, including other Ubuntu 10.04 installs, however nothing loads on my machine. By inspecting the element is still see it in the source code:

Just doesn't display. I'm using the standard flashplugin-installer package, and have tried reinstalling it with no luck. I've also tried going directly to blip.tv and they do not display either. Embedded videos from other sites play fine, it's just blip.tv. They also do not display or load on the blip.tv site.

When I use the BBC site, I see messages "Cannot play media.You do not have the correct version of the flash player. Download the correct version"..However, when I go to Applications > Ubuntu Software Centre, I get the message, "Adobe Flash Player is installed on this computer. It is used by 1 piece of installed software"If I try to use the Firefox Adobe add-ins feature, I'm directed to the Adobe page. Is it safe to use this feature rather than, for example, Synaptic Package Manager?

I have installed a CLI ubuntu system and then installed gnome-session and all the applications I needed. Yesterday I have installed Firefox 6. Addons added are :flashblock, adblock + and noscript addons. Now the weird thing is that today while navigating on this site: [URL]. I get Godaddy Page.

I'm new to Linux and I recently decided to try out Ubuntu. I used the Wubi installer so it's on Windows (just to see if I liked Ubuntu) and it works fine, but with one exception: the internet (or maybe just Firefox) isn't working. The internet connection worked just fine on XP. On Ubuntu, it says that it was able to connect to the wireless network, but when I try to go to any page on Firefox it just keeps trying to load perpetually and never connects to the site, eventually just showing the "Server not found" page.

I see that the site requests access to google-analytics and/or hitbox is that necessary to view the information? And can I watch with a non-Adobe flash player?

I'm using Firefox 3.6.10 for Ubuntu 10.10 with the smooth-scaling ppa (only addons I'm using are Firebug and the Ubuntu modifications pack).Several sites with navigation menus the menu is spread over two lines when it obviously shouldn't be (eg. The Telegraph online, BBC News...) this happens no matter what the zoom level is set to. Chromium renders all these pages normally.

Sometimes a site gets a new URL, or simply is discontinued.
I notice this when opening a bookmark of mine.
So I wonder if there is a way to delete the corresponding bookmark entry? Without having to go to bookmark manager?
I am thinking of a pressing a button that does:
Delete any and all bookmarks to this domain.

I am running Ubuntu 9.04 on a laptop (Wireless) and Vista (plugged into router) on a multimedia center. I can watch tv shows from 2 out of the 3 tv network sites that i like. CTV and Global tv stream ok on both systems. however CBC won't work unless the pc is directly plugged in without the router.

After I had upgraded to 10.10, Firefox was at first running smoothly, but later it would no longer connect/open any given site. (could not connect to server). I the de-installed and new installed Firefox and it worked fine again for a while but then the same problem returned. I then completely removed Firefox and all packages pertaining to it, and then made a new install of the basic Firefox browser (same problem), then started adding one by one the other "Ubuntu" packages in synaptic for firefox, but the problem remains. I am currently using Chromium (which runs well and extremely fast) but I would like to have Firefox back

When I'm trying to access my site using Firefox I get this error: "Unable to connect

Then I tried to access my site using Opera and Chrome but I get the same error, that the browsers couldn't connect to it.
The site to which I'm trying to connect is definitely up. (I ask a few people and they can access it and I looked at [url] and it says that my site it's up)

How can I block access to a certain internet site using ufw? Let's say I want to block access to www.xxx.zzz (IP 1.2.3.4) to any program and user; using iptables I can do
sudo iptables -A OUTPUT -d 1.2.3.4 -j DROP how can I do that using ufw? if ufw can not do this, where should I put this rule to persist it over reboot, without interfering with ufw chains infrastructure?

So, if i want to embed a video stream on my site and use the one that the company provides, it has ugly colors that clash with my website.And, if i do Internet searches for a customizable one that allows color changes, the results i get are to download windows programs.Can you direct me to on on-site code generator or a linux download that generates color-customizable FLV/SWF shockwave flash Players? There is a suspicious amount of data (more than a megabyte) being uploaded from my computer whenever I log onto a commercial web site on which I advertise rental properties.
Is there any way I can see the data being uploaded - I am pretty familiar with the Unix/Linux system and commands.

I've got the latest version of Flash installed,and it works most of the time,t occasionally a video or game will stop working and the area it was in will just turn into a grey box. Usually it only does this if I leave the page the video's on, but it keeps doing it when I'm playing Robot Unicorn Attack on Adult Swim's site, too

New to ubuntu but have use Suse 11.2 a bit. I downloaded a Spanish dictionary to Openoffice on suse with no problems. Under the tools in Openoffice word it says Languages "other dictionaries available". Click on it and it takes you to a site with all types of foriengs language dictionaries. I found the mexico spanish dictionary and it said get it. On suse it downloaded it and it auto installed it with a program in Yast I believe. Anyway the dictionary was in there when I opened office the next time.
Ubuntu is a different story, I can download it but do not know how to install the Spanish dictionary file to the OpenOffice. Is their a program included with ubuntu (gnome) desktop that will load this file and set it up in Office?

In one of our network we are using one firewall which works as gateway. All machines are able to access internet through this gateway. There is no filtering and any internet restriction. I would like to setup monitoring system which monitor and log bandwidth and sites access by client machine. Slow access to web site using squid and Internet explorer.I am trying to troubleshoot an issue I am stuck on. We have a website that is loading .htm documents extremely slow when using Internet Explorer 8 behind Squid. When we bypass the proxy and go directly out to the internet all is fast and pages load fine.But when the proxy is on documents will take sometimes up to 6 minutes to load.This issue is only apparent using Internet explorer 8.I do not see the issue when using firefox with Squid.I have tried to use the no_cache directive thinking it may have been the cache but that didn't work either.I am attaching our access.log, store.log and squid.conf.

I've been on a quest to enable full routing through my openvpn tunnel between my office and the colo. Masquerading will work, however it will throw off anything key based and makes a lot of things just more difficult and vague in general. Is there an easy way to do this via iptables?
