The Jamendo plugin for RB makes the user download a torrent to get albums. Trouble is, no one is seeding. So I have to go to the Jamendo site, find the artist I want and download directly from Jamendo. Kind of defeats the purpose of the Jamendo plugin. Is there a way to make RB download directly from Jamendo.
Got PGP 6.5.8 for Linux working with Ubuntu 10.10. It involved converting two .rpm files to .deb with the alien utility and then installing by simply double clicking on the .deb files in the file browser invoking the Ubuntu Software Manager. I put the two .deb files in a tarball (tar.gz) and would like suggestions as to how to make the tarball available for other Ubuntu users to download.

I have done a new install of Fedora 14 but the RTL8191 wirless card is not being recognised. Realtek have provided the driver source but the make operation is failing because (I think) Fedora 14 isn't provided with the kernel source to enable it to complete successfully.
Basically (in easy to understand steps): how do I download correctly the Kernel source to enable the driver make operation to proceed?

I have downloaded a few tar.gz programs and trying to follow the instructions always come to the command "make". The result is a printout stating there is no make command. The last program had a "makeinstall" but that wasn't recognised either. I am no a new comer. I have been using Ubuntu for nearly four years and I have only succeeded in installing two programs and that was at least two and a half years ago. Since then I've had no luck whatsoever. Is there anyone out there that can tell me, in simple English, leaving out no steps, how in the h*** I can download and install a tar.gz program?
I am at a university where my bandwidth is severely capped. I can start several other computers near me and download at the limited speed simultaneously. Is there any way for me to share the download between the computers to get the cumulative speed?

Here at home I have several Ubuntu installations, mine, the kids computers and a couple of laptops. What I'm looking for is a solution or a pointer in the right direction to setup on our local Ubuntu server a sort of cache. Each day each Ubuntu on the network, checks for updates and downloads, and installs. What I'm looking for is a way for one machine to download the update and then the others to download from the local resource.
A sort of local cache to try and minimise everyone downloading straight from the net for pretty much the same updates. I did a emerge cache many years ago when I was using Gentoo, so I'm wondering what I can use/do here with Ubuntu as we are all loving this distro now.
This is our first time choosing and installing linux. Our other servers are all windows 2008 x64. We were told to install fedora 13. I can only find a download for the desktop version and we're looking for the SERVER x64 download. Could I please get a link?
