Software :: PHP Imap Client Which Supports Multiple Accounts?
Nov 23, 2010
I am looking for a PHP based IMPA client with these requirements:
- User accounts (not same as imap email accounts)
- Each user can add multiple IMAP emails to his account and check/use them.
Is there any solution for my requirements. I checked Squirrelmail and roundcube but I am not sure they can do this.
Otherwise I will need to either develop a system from scratch or modify an existing one to do my job. I hesitate to develop myself as it will take months if not years to make it stable and bug free.
Is there any IRC client that supports VI keys? The ''obvious'' script VimIRC is and has been broken for so long it's not even funny. Do you know any IRC clients on Linux, GUI or Curses, that provides some of that nice vi usability? Or could some of the existing clients be scripted to use? Irssi, XChat, even ERC would do?
I've looked all over the net (believe me, EVERYWHERE), and I can't find anything. I sort of need a program that supports webcam so I can communicate with my family when I leave town in a few weeks. I've tried aMSN, emsense, Pidgin (webcam hasn't worked in that program for ages, heh), empathy (just audio works), skype, ekiga, and so on.
I am running debian testing, amd64 architecture on my box. I have 3 gmail accounts that I use regularly. I have used mainly thunderbird/icedove to access my mailboxes via imap. However, now two of them have really several tens of thousands of emails I often experience difficulties in dealing with them (the connection often freezes, browsing my folders is a pain).I tried also sylpheed and claws, but the situation has not really improved.I do not think there is anything fundamentally wrong in the way I configured my accounts on the various clients (actually, some of them even boast automatic setup of gmail accounts).
I've been trying to find out which jabber/XMPP clients out there automatically sign messages with openpgp you send but documentation on that has been spotty. Could you tell me a. if you know any clients that can easily sign and encrypt all outgoing messages and b. should I worry if a client is only able to sign presence and not messages?
I am using GPROF for my code profiling ,but it seems GPROF doesn't supports multithread .Does any one know any other technique for profiling the application code I have checked oprofile but it profile kernel ,I just required for C code profiling technique that supports multiple threads
Is there any Linux software that fetches emails from let's say 3-d party imap server (ex imap.gmail.com) and allows you to access it in nice format through web interface.
So - if I run my own LAMP server I could just type in my ip address and access emails/calendars.
I guess something like Outlook Web Access but free and for Linux?
I'd like to configure Evolution (or Thunderbird) to delete Gmail messages. When I select messages and hit "Delete", the messages go to my local trash and they loose their Inbox label in Gmail. I would like that in Gmail, they loose their Inbox label and go to [Gmail]/Trash so that they'll be deleted after a month. Could I configure the "delete" key of my keyboard to move msg to [Gmail]/Trash ? Could I configure another key to move msg to [Gmail]/Trash ?
What other solution ? Because moving to the trash is not convenient, it takes a lot of time without a key shortcut.
I've switched off the borg at home 100% (yippee). Wife and kids are now logging on, firing up 2-3 apps (usually FF, songbird and nautilus) and then switching users to allow the other on. This has the unexpected side effect of locking the audio device so the other user cannot use it until they shutdown those apps that have /dev/dsp open in a locked fashion. Is this "normal" behaviour? or is there something I'm missing in the setup?
I've recently purchased a laptop so I've been focusing on getting my data synchronized between my laptop and PC. The problem is as follows, I have 8+ email accounts and I prefer to have them all in 1 single map tree instead of a separate tree for every one of them. This means IMAP is out of the question, so I've been thinking about a few things but I'm not too sure if there's anything out there for some of these things.
Option 1 - Unison Synchronization Using Unison to synchronize the Thunderbird profiles, problem is Thunderbird can't be running on both machines
Option 2 - IMAP mail hub for all accounts Somehow turn my server into a mail hub that gets email for all my accounts, and serve them through IMAP somehow, only problem that might be is that reply-to won't send a mail back with the same mail address people mailed to (Don't know that for sure).
Option 3 - POP3 mail hub Same as option 2 but with a central POP3 hub that will keep all mails forever, should be doable.
Not viable option - Turn off mail deletion on server. This ain't viable because this will either cause some of the mail servers to clog up, especially if I were to only turn deletion on on 1 pc. So it seems the POP3 hub is best, and then just let that delete everything off of the remote servers, is this possible, I've tried setting up a mail daemon before but failed miserably (But will try again if it will make this possible).
Have nautilus -dropbox from this page : dropbox-deb-amd64-package/.Trying to run multiple dropbox accounts on one computer, see :multiple-dropbox-instances-in-same-time.html.When I run HOME=$HOME/.dropbox-alt /usr/bin/dropbox start -i I
get : ~$ HOME=$HOME/.dropbox-alt /usr/bin/dropbox start -i Starting Dropbox...No protocol specified /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gtk-2.0/gtk/__init__.py:57: GtkWarning: could not open display
I use gnome password manager. It stores encrypted passwords in the ~/.gpass directory.I have 2 users, johnny, and audio. My default gpass setup is at /home/johnny/.gpass I've created a group called gpassusers and added johnny and audio. I chgrp'd /home/johnny/.gpass to gpassusers. I chmod'd /home/johnny/.gpass 770 (to give group access) I then created a symlink as follows
Code:
ln -s /home/johnny/.gpass /home/audio/.gpass
when I try to cd into /home/audio/.gpass I get
Code:
audio@picard:~$ cd .gpass bash: cd: .gpass: Permission denied
for sanity's sake, here's the ls of johnny's home directory
Code:
drwxrwx--- 2 johnny gpassusers 4096 2010-05-17 19:34 .gpass
I googled a lot but I didn't find anything about this. I have multiple accounts on the same ftp server (the server is not mine I don't access its configuration)
If I write ftp://hostname on the location bar it lets me login, but only allow me to be in only one account at a time. Putting ftp://hostname on the location again just opens the account I logged into and I'm unable to login to the other account to move files between them conveniently.
Is it possible to log into multiple accounts on the same server?
I setup samba file sharing to auto mount in fstab. Everything works great except when a computer has more than on user account.
The folders in mnt are owned by root and ownership changes to the first user account no matter what user logs in. So only the first user can edit files in the mounted share.
Anyone got a clue why this is happening? Seems the mount folders should be changing ownership to the user that is logged in.
I've been running Courier IMAP for many years now, but when I added gmail's IMAP to my Outlook I noticed something interesting: when you delete a message, it gets thrown into the trash instantly.
With Courier IMAP (or any other IMAP server, for that matter), when you delete, it first marks it for deletion. Then after you Purge Deleted Messages it either gets rid of them or moves them to trash.
I'm looking for a method to sync my calendars on my IMAP server with both my Thunderbird/Lightning any my Blackberry. I found "IMAP Calendar Proxy" here recently, but it has been inactive for 5 years. I've seen people suggesting the use of services like Plaxo and such, but I don't like the idea of a third party messing with my calendars and contacts. Also, I've had to remove several viruses from computers with Plaxo, and I'm not sure if it in itself is a virus or not..... It certainly is a thorn in my side as is. This is for my personal IMAP server, so I'd prefer a free solution even if it is more difficult to install than a paid version. I mainly need it to just sync my calendar to my Blackberry and Thunderbird and couldn't care less about the contacts.
I've been Googling for things for quite some time now, and haven't really found anything that says that it will work with Blackberry and Thunderbird. They really only give a sense of maybe with nothing really defined. I can put on an Ubuntu server to sync everything? I don't want to leave my computer on all the time, and RIM has yet to come out with something decent to sync Blackberries and Thunderbird properly as far as I know.
I was wondering if there's some web-based email application (like Zimbra) or perhaps gmail can do it I'm not sure that can handle both receiving and sending of mail from multiple email accounts.I have about 4 different email accounts with various different domains and would like to have one platform which has an inbox for each account and from which I can send mail from any of the accounts
I have to implement a client/server solution that pretty much does this:
1) Client broadcasts UDP packet; 2) client receives answer packet from multiple servers - it includes the TCP port to use next and a list of files; 3) user picks file from list; 4) client downloads from server via TCP.
I got the client to broadcast and the servers reply. However, i'm not yet getting the client to be able to receive multiple packets.
I'm very inclined and have tried to implement select, but most examples i find are for stream sockets. Once the fsSet shows a read event would i create a new socket or just use the main socket for recvfrom()ing? I assume i need at least two sockets. However i'm not sure if this will allow the client to actually receive simultaneously... so i'm kinda not wanting to guess that this implies fork and threads... Also, i assume the socket must be nonblocking (done), although i've read somewhere select would take care of this?
I'm using openvpn-2.0.9 with gui-1.0.3 which is set up on windows xp machines(for server and clients) when i set up the server and one client it connects well and i can work without a problem. but when the second client connects it gets the same ip address of the client1, so that both clients can't work at once.
my server and client config files are as follows.
server-configuration file
client1-configuration file
client2-configuration file
I've tried by changing many settings such as server-bridge and all but couldn't find a solution for the problem.
By the way when connected server gets 10.8.0.1/30 and every clients get same ip as 10.8.0.6/30
I have written a server application which has select for both incoming new client connection requests and incoming data from client. I am able to process incoming connection requests and client data.
For example, server has 8 clients connected to it. If client 3 disconnects from server, how will server come to know this client has disconnected and to close its client socket fd gracefully? Does server's select get data on that client socket fd as 'close' data or any error code in recv() function that notifies server to close this client socket fd? Also if client disconnects abruptly without sending close request to server, how should server handle this? Does server get "EPIPE" error?
I am new in client server programming and i have written code for single server to single client communicating one port(3490). but i have no idea how my single server will be communicate with different client on different port.how this will be happen ?
Any idea to understand the logic or send any good link or any piece of code in c , i searched on net but all help was mostly for java progamming.
I have a webserver setup, where i need the server to have multiple eht:0 aliases in order to do some SSL-vhosting and other stuff.
The servers eh0 is set up in /etc/network/interfaces (its an Ubuntu)
And i have added the eth aliases with : ifconfig eth0:1 123.231.213.123 up command.
This works great, i can use the additional IPs for the SSL-vhosts, and all is good.
My problem now is that while the server itself has 1 IP, (and approx 20 IP on alias interfaces) it uses random (i think) IPs when it is to connect to other servers. E.g the main problem is that if a Vhost on the server sends out an email, the server uses a wrong IP in the headers. Thus making it seem like the email is coming from another IP than then on the Vhost its currently residing.
Currently, when the server connects to its smarthost in order to deliver emails, It connects from the IP that is bound to the eth0:0 interface, and not the IP bound to eth0 which is desired.
The question now is how do I sort out the IPs so that all connections the server makes as a client, will use the first (Eth0) IP ?
And all the extra IP-adresses will only be used as "server addresses" not to make client requests.
I have question about the UNIX sockets. my goal is to connect multiple sockets from a single client to a single server and keep them open...I'm not sure if that is possible to create or not. Do you have any suggestion or an example of code?
Does Fedora supports Touchscreen computers? I am planning buy a new desktop computer and there are several models that come with touchscreen, I don't really care about this feature , I just want to know if Fedora can operates under a touchscreen system. If Fedora doesn't support touchscreen systems, Is there any plan to integrate this option in a near future?
I'm trying to figure out whether my system supports PCI Express without opening up the box. lspci doesn't mention "Express" or "PCI-e" anywhere, but dmesg reports that a "PCI Express Hot Plug Controller Driver" is in use.
