I can't connect to sourceforge with SFTP from filezilla. I'm using the correct username [URL].. and password (Same one as allows me to login to web administration) so why do I keep getting "Authentication failed; Critical error"
View 2 Replies View Relatedi know it all sounds weard but ive been searching google so much now.. look the setup is kinda straight forward. We got a test server for websites. This server has lamp server configured. Now i have a Website in the apache www folder. From here on everything works fine in http://localhost or 127.0.1.1 etc etc. also i have configured virtualhosts. This so we can have a live enviroment but its actually a test enviroment.
Now i try to connect trough the lannetwork! so i goto my windows client and hit in the browser :http://(serverip+port) and also tried http://(serverip) When i do this i get a 403 forbiddin acces. I solved that problem by deleted a line in the apache2.conf wot was called : virtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xx: xx
Now Hes loading the page but says he cant connect to 127.0.1.1 Any1 knows a solution? (sorry for my bad grammer btw )

I like the way SourceForge lets your project have it's own website. But all those "Unix names" are taken and I don't like the idea of having to give my project a terrible name because everything is taken.

I have Lenovo SL500 with ubuntu 10.10. Also i have installed latest GeForce 9300M GS drivers from NVIDIA site. NVTV is also installed. When i want to connect to LG 32LE4500 trough HDMI i get no singnal message. I tried to configure with nvidia-settings but no positive results. Also i have tried with bigger SAMSUNG screen but no results... am i doing something wrong? Or, is this problem with NVIDIA (or ubuntu) HDMI support. If it is, where can i find information when will be bigger support for HDMI with NVIDIA and ubuntu?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a mxn matric (which is my simplified way of saying it is RAM with bytes on it) Some of the locations on this metric is filled with some data and some places are empty. The mxn are very big numbers in size. I am trying to make a program so that if a system call wants to write some thing on empty locations on this mxn metric it should be able to do so without any problem. The thing which I want to understand or logic of a data structure is what data structure do you people feel should I be maintaining so that I can allocate the requested space immediately from the above mxn matric when some system call requests for some (k) number of locations from above metrics.
The logic initially I thought was to maintain a hashtable

but the problem with above logic is size of the pointers where I will be writing this problem is unsigned 64 byte.So to know location of one free byte if I am maintaining one pointer of type u64 this is not a feasible solution.

I really thought that was more difficult for me to put my site database. But now i can load on server my database with phpmyadmin after a very simply installation. I could not believe. I'm studying how make ftp work (apt-get site-ftp?) and waiting from my host directadmin installed. But i try to manage linux console and was very exciting for a newbiest like me!
Now I can write text on my site server with echo etc,etc, I have a database, but I have not site files. While I was studying tutorial to make apache work, I frequently read the directory /var/www and my debian console confirm that is an existing directory. How can use this directory?
Any listing debian linux server commands to:

I need a tool that will enable me to manage files and other operations from another computer, access to my server. VPS and other host they usually provide cpanel and other webadmin app to do that.
I need advices on the followings:
1. FTP, allow me to access to my folder, like a web host

3. Probably a GUI similar to cpanel
I would like to manage the firewall from the command line or with files VIA puppet, however this peice of software seems pretty complicated compared to the other distributions and generic iptables commands / configurations we push out.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to connect to a particular home wireless network under Fedora 9, although I can connect to it using WinXP on the same machine. My Fedora installation is able to connect to my college's unsecured wireless network, so it's not a driver issue I think.It seems to be an authorisation issue, as I'll describe below, but there's one other thing that's bothering me. The SSID for the network I have problems with is for some reason not listed in Network Manager's drop-down list, nor is it in the output of iwlist wlan0 scan. But I'm pretty sure it's not a "hidden" network - I don't know exactly how those work, but I helped the owner of the wifi network in setting it up, and don't remember doing anything that would make it hidden. As far as I can remember, Windows found the network automatically without having to be told the SSID. What's the best way to confirm whether it's a hidden network or not?
Anyway, I try to connect by selecting connect to other wireless network in Network Manager, and entering the SSID. As far as I can tell from the error messages below, the machine does contact the network and attempt to connect, but I'm not authorising myself properly. That may be a completely wrong diagnosis, but hopefully someone can see from the below info whether it's correct or not.I'm not sure which option to use for "Wireless Security": at the time we set up the network, it gave us a Hex WEP key of 26 characters, which is 104 bits. But none of the options in Network Manager's list match that. Here are the options it has, and the error message I get with each one:None - if I select this, it fails to connect, with no error message.
WEP 128-bit passphrase - if I select this and attempt to use my 26-character WEP key, it brings up a new dialog, saying "Passwords or encryption keys are required to access the wireless network [SSID]." It has a drop-down box labelled "Wireless Security", but this time the only option is "None", and the connect button is disabled, I can only click cancel.
WEP 40/128-bit hex - as above.
WEP 40/128-bit ASCII - The connect button is disabled when I try to use the WEP key, as the string is too long. Despite the fact that it says 40/128-bit, it actually accepts 5 and 13-character strings (40 or 104-bit). Since I've got a 104-bit hex key, I tried converting it to ASCII, but it consists of mostly unprintable characters, so I'm not sure there's any way to actually enter it into the textfield. I might have done something wrong here, so I've put my code below to see if anyone can point out a mistake.
LEAP - requires a username, not applicable here I think. Windows doesn't need one, and we don't have one from when we set the network up.Dynamic WEP (802.1x) - requires username, private key and various other things, all N/A WPA & WPA2 Personal - Brings up a dialog with the same text as for "128-bit passphrase", but this time "WPA & WPA2 Personal" is the only option in the drop-down list, instead of "None". It asks for a password, so I just enter the hex key again - now it asks for the password for the Gnome Default Keyring, which I don't think I've ever set up. Don't know if I can go any further with that, but my understanding is that since we were given a WEP key when we set up the network, WPA will be N/A.WPA & WPA2 Enterprise - as Dynamic WEP. N/A.Hopefully that's enough info that someone can help diagnose the problem. Some of the behaviour of Network Manager described above doesn't make sense to me, and I'm wondering if it's buggy.

Everybody connects to internet trough an Access Point (Lynksys RWT120N), which, in turn, connects to a WatchWard/Firebox red box. I suppose this is the equipment that does the VPN stuff. Finally, the red box connects to a DSL modem from our ISP.The problem is: Everybody on the office can connect to the AP and surf the internet without any issues, excepting me when I connect with ubuntu 10.10. I have windows on the same machine and I can access the internet without problems.
What I have seen so far is that Network Manager associates with the AP, gets what I would consider all the expected information from DHCP, but internet connectivity is none.For "expected information from DHCP" i mean: IP address, gateway, and DNS.I can ping my assigned IP address, the gateway and even other machines in the same network. I cannot ping the DNS or other external IP addresses.

I know that Sourceforge banned Iran, and I'm an Iraninan citizen. It seems the error is related to a file named : andale32.exe . I downloaded this file. but I don't know what to do with the file. kernel 2.6.21.5, GNU (slackware 12.0)I have entered sourceforge.net. The fonts in their pages I find I cannot change their size. Neither ^+ (cntl++) has any effect. And the resolution I have it (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) at 640x480 (in this way I have a really big screen; so, big characters). I can't almost read that tiny characters.

On the eth0, most of no standard ports are blocked, so I need to connect to specified port on some IP, through ppp0 (modem), to use ssh connection on non standard port to that IP.
