View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to convert downloaded Flash videos to mp4. I first tried WinFF (a front-end to ffmpeg) and got an error message, so then I tried using ffmpeg directly in the terminal, only to get the same message. I remember doing this same thing in the past with no problems, so something must be wrong. I'm on Karmic 64 bit. The message I get is the following:

I'm using ubuntu 8.04, and when I load some things, like some games, it tells me I need flash player 10. I have downloaded it multiple times and installed it multiple times but nothing is working as it should. Is it because I'm still on 8.04?
View 5 Replies View Relatedafter the netinst finished to download the last package, one hour later the process never continues, I checked the log file and I didn't find anything suspecious, also dmesg and nothing, in fact, in the log file before checked I found that the last line was registered just a minute ago - DHCP renew IP-, so my questions are:
1. all the packages downloaded are gone?, can I restart the installation using all those packages downloaded?
2. where I can find the error or problem that cause that the installation was freezed?
3. in the case that installation needs to start from the beginning, can I use the package downloaded?

I followed the following step given on an openSuSE site but I am still encountering the same problem i.e. a phpinfo.php file gets downloaded when I browse it in my browser. In case the browser wants to save your php files instead of displaying the content, you should enable php support in the /etc/apache2/mod_userdir.conf file. Add the following line to it, just after the <Directory /home/*/public_html> line and restart the server.Include /etc/apache2/conf.d/php5.conf

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a brand new installation of Opensuse 11.3 on a PC. I am using the Gnome desktop. When installing I get SO many errors saying "YAST2: package "xxx" could not be downloaded" or "installation of package "xxx.rpm failed." Ignore, Abort Retry.
I ran a checksum on the iso I downloaded from this site and it checks out. What is going on?
I have a flaky internet connection. So it's important for me to be able to resume partially downloaded files. I would like the YAST software manager to resume downloads of packages where I left off in case of any error. Is this possible?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk I am a total linux noob, and I was looking through threads and couldn't easily find what I am looking for. I am using a HP Mini 1010nr with broadcom bcm4312 wireless card. I went online and downloaded the drivers onto a USB drive from the broadcom website. All I need to know is what are the commands or the programs I use to install the 32 bit drivers I downloaded?? Sorry I know the answer is in here somewhere but I don't understand what the command is on how to install my drivers from my thumb drive.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to 11.3, as a result, the suse-supplied video driver runs very slowly (screen-saver updates about 2 fps, to give you an idea) On 11.2, I had installed nvidia's native driver and things were just fine, so I tried to install the latest nvidia driver again, but I'm getting a hard hang with Yast -- at 99% downloaded, yast stops responding ("abort" doesn't respond, but an external "kill" signal works)
Finally getting the bright idea of checking the y2log file, I see the following code...
these three lines are repeated every second
I'm sure there are some fingers to be pointed [nvidia's ftp server is borked; aria2c is clueless, etc] but that does not help me - what do I need to do to convince this "aria2c" program that the file has, in fact, completely downloaded so that the installation process can continue?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to diagnose a weird problem ... maybe someone has an idea where to start. I'm having a problem with flash videos. The video part displays as if the fast-forward button is being held down; audio sounds correct.
I'm thinking "synchronization error" (duh!) but I'm not sure how to start to diagnose the issue. I'm running OpenSUSE 11.4 x64, and the problem shows up in both chrome and opera.
I just got a Firefox update from 3.6.17 to 3.6.18. Now I cannot view any Flash vids. I get the "Additional plugins are required to display all of the media on this page - Install Missing Plugins" message. I select the "Install Missing Plugins" button, select Adobe Flash Player, go through all of the steps, and receive "success!". And I get the "Additional plugins are required to display all of the media on this page - Install Missing Plugins" message. "What?" I exclaim, "I just installed it!" I have done this more than once. What is required to actually get functionality that I already had?
