View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a program which has the same in-program search system as LimeWire/Frostwire, in the sense that when you type in your query, the program opens a results window in-program, listing all torrents relating to the query. I'm looking for this because my sister doesn't want to look for downloads on a torrent site, she just wants to stay in the program. Personally, I don't mind the current method, but I do understand the irritation when all you've even known is Limewire (and derivatives). I simply made the jump, but I agree that initially, it was jarring. I know that uTorrent has a search function, but it opens a web browser to search, and that's not what I'm looking for.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFrostwire and Nicotine + they both have outdated RPM's for 10.x that dose not support 11.3. They have newer .deb files. What would I have to do to install a .deb file. limewire/frostwire stops installing at preparing sun-java6-jre everytime i try to install one of them. i tried rebooting and it still does this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to setup RAID 10 with Fedora 11 on my desktop using this tutorial:[URL].. Everything has been going well, except when following the instructions and getting ready to format, it says I need to define / and boot partitions. This was never included in the instructions.

I installed Fedora 10 on a config that has /boot and / on md Raid 1 (separate devices). I did this with Centos 5.3 and it worked fine (or at least it booted without any problems). I have instaled Fedora 9 on a RAID 1 root md (no separeate /boot) md setup and it also worked. But now after booting the newly installed fedora 10 it just drops me into grub> . I booted rescue mode off the dvd and pooked around and don't see a problem, but don't know what ending up in grub> reallly imples so am not sure what to look for (my md setup is all there, the fs's are fine etc). Comparing things to another system all the /boot/grub/* files are present etc. I had the install do the grub install so the MBR etc should have been written.

I installed Fedora 10 in text mode. Then I logged in as root and modified inittab to switch to GUI mode. I did not see any Setup Agent after the installation in text mode.
Now that I'm in GUI mode, I get the login screen, but it won't let me log in as root ("failed to authenticate user") and there is no Setup Agent to prompt me to create other users. I don't know how to get back to text mode, either. How do I login to the system?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am upgrading my old 40G hard drive to a new 160G one and want to know the best way to set it for use with my system. I currently have a Windows partition which I want to keep & reinstate onto the new drive. Then I want to have another 3 partitions for different distros.
What should I do as a first step when I put the drive in boot off a live CD. I am assuming that I will need to do. If I do a, # grub-install, will this then format the MBR and then create a small partition for /boot. Following that, do I just restore the Windows partition immediately after the /boot partition, and then create new partitions for the distros accordingly.
I would also like to create a seperate swap partition and then install F10. Is there an option in Anaconda to not use LVM (can't remember).

1. Can this be managed during the installation process of Fedora 11?
2. If yes, let me know the step by step please.
3. If no, I take it a cron job of rsync is going to be my best option.
4. Alternatives insights etc.
I got a Western Digital 500GB SATA drive, installed Vista on it no problems and made sure to leave about 120gb of unallocated space when setting up the drive. Went to install F12 via the live CD and it says no drive was detected. If I take the live CD out then it boots into Vista no problems so the drive is definitely connected OK.
I was using the 64-bit version of the live CD so I downloaded the 32-bit version but I have the same problem! The motherboard is an Asus P5QPL-AM if that makes a difference.
Did a new install of F14 on a T61 Thinkpad w/ Motorola DSL router (ATT supplied). The install was smooth and had no indications of problems.
