I have installed the 32-bit libraries (gcc-gfortran.i686, glib.i686, libstdc++.i686).
I want to use vfprintf with the char * on 64-bit. Here is the sample code:

In this code, I am getting warning: passing argument 3 of vfprintf from incompatible pointer type I have done sizeof(va_list) on 64-bit, and its 24 bytes. I don't know how am I suppose to use the va_list this way.
i have this warning "differ in signedness".

so i was getting this error. im thinking it may be because of somewhere i declared unsigned and signed so this signedness warning occurring.
Code:
switcase.c: In function ImplementDebugCmd: switcase.c:385: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 1 of STRING_stricmp differ in signedness

View 2 Replies View RelatedFedora 13 is currently my Linux Distro of choice but I find the Pointer/Activity-monitor is annoying. Usually it has two states ,the solitary round thing or the pointer. Every now and again they are combined into the Ubuntu combination symbol of the two joined into one image. Is there a way to change this image/moving-icon? I like Mandriva's the best and would prefer it worked on all Browser windows so that New Firefox versions did not disable it.Thanks in advance!
The term I needed to find additional info was (Mouse Themes). The (Wait Cursor) is usually included with this.Download the theme you want and go to System> Preferences> Appearance> Customize> Pointers to change to one that is alreadly installed.To install themes, System> Preferences> Appearances> Install. Apparently more than one them can be used on a distro so the Browsers will use its own while Nautilus will use another. Fedora's default one does not funtion properly. It will not change to the pointer if a web page is still loading if you need to sellect something. I learned that Mandriva uses the (Bluecurve) variation for default which is like Ubuntus where it does not have to change between two different images and hense does not lose functionallity.

For some reason 9.04 would not upgrade to 9.10 so I installed from disc, with minor hics. Now works well but randomly hangs with no warning and I have to switch-off and restart to continue. Very annoying. I do not get any error alert it just hangs and when rebooted carries on quite unperturbed.

I am trying to compile and install a new kernel. I have downloaded the 2.6.37 version from kernel.org and I have extracted it in usr/src/linux-2.6.37/ folder.I have tried to compile it and install it according to the instruction given in the following web site and which I found very useful:ttp://www.digitalhermit.com/linux/K...WTO.html#INTRONevertheless, I am encountering some problems during the make install modules process as I get some warnings (i.e. The title of this post).I thought to ignore the warnings and continue by copying the modules in /lib/modules/linux-2.6.37 but this is not possible since at that directory there is no folder created with the new kernel I am trying to install and thus I get a msg saying: FATAL: could not load /lib/modules/2.6.37/modules.dep.
The warning message: WARNING: modpost: found X section mismatch(es) suggests to run a make CONFIG_DEBUG_SECTION_MISMATCH=y.At the moment I am running a make again and saving the output to a file so that I can see later on what are the mismatches that I get. In any case we are talking about more than 50 mismatches so I am wondering if these mismatches are not that serious and the problem I cannot install and copy the modules is something else
