General :: Connect To SUSE Server From Other One - Error "Remote Host Identification Has Changed"
Jan 15, 2011
When I try to connect to my SUSE server from other one this appears: Remote host identification has changed. I deleted entry in know_hosts but it still working wrong, showing me this message. What could be the cause of this problem??
I have two suse linux server. Recently we got the license key. In one server i could able to register successfully. Another server is throwing an error.i am using yast-software- Novel customer center configuration. After selecting configure now, i am getting error has follows Execute curl command failed with 7 curl: (7) could't connect to host.
I installed dovecot on my server and now the imap and pop3 ports are open. But when I want to telnet it, it's not possible.Code: Trying 127.0.0.1...telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out. Also I can't any ports else. But I can connect to it from other computers. I tried to connect to this from my PC and it was successful.
I'm trying to connect with my server via telnet, but when i sent the command (telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Port) doesn't works and shows then follow error: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused, It happens with any port. Is strange but my telnet services works (telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx), In addition, i tried with firewall enabled and disabled and the problem still happens. My centOS run on virtualbox.
When I do a ntpq -p on my machine I could see the ntp servers configured and it's status:
But when I telnet to ntp server "10.1.35.2" it says A remote host refused an attempted connect operation:
I know * here represents that the machine is in sync with ntp server. My question if the machine is in sync with ntp server, how does it work?why ntp port 123 is connection refused?
My system is Ubuntu 11Before I typed "telnet localhost" or "telnet localhost 23". I have make this work below:$sudo apt-get install xinetd$vim /etc/xinetd.conf
I'm trying to make an SSH script for my place of employment. This script, I want to go out to the server hostnames we have specified (in another file) and change a users account password. We use Kerberized telnet, so if telnet root hostname fails, I want it to use ssh username hostname and use the old password (specified). If both fail, I want it to ask the user what the port should be and input the port in the ssh command.
But I'm having a issue having it try telnet root hostname and if it fails then, try to ssh in, I have no clue how to have it proceed. Is it an if statement? Here's the telnet failed message: telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
I have implimented SugarCRM on a SUSE 10 box . Every thing goes ok but in the SugarCRM ,it's saying :
Quote:
Error: Could not connect to the Sugar Server. check your Proxy Settings value in the System Settings admin panel. Last attempted connection @ 10/11/2010 06:37pm and unable to setup email inside that. But the system is neither have proxy setting and internet runs fine outside SugarCRM. IN RHEL,CentOS all run ok but not in SUSE ?
i actually registered here because i'm done with my knowledge of linux, errors which cause my sys to hang and/or reboot randomly after some time. They occur while the system is under heavy cpu, heavy mem-read-write, mediocre mem fill, heavy hdd io (for ~20 seconds every ~5 minutes).
problem background we ordered two identical PCs (specs below), one of them brought those sata errors quoted below from /var/log/messages, the other one runs flawlessly. Same Hardware and Software Configuration. Faulty one brought reallocated sectors right at start, mass seek errors, read errors. 1st try: swap cables, change bios mode ata_piix <-> AHCI. Didn't work. Went away for repair. Stupid Techie did only swap hdd, so problems occured again. Shipping for repair again. Board AND hdd exchanged. no more seek/read errors, no more reallocated sectors. But similar sata problems right after 3 days of previously described workload. Following logs are from after the last repair.
sudo still works, but every time I run it, it says it's unable to resolve the host. I tried to change stuff in visudo, but there wasn't anything about the host as far as I could tell.
have fedora 10 and am having problems with ssh. For some reason I can't connect via a remote host to my ssh. Local network connections do work just fine. I have been looking for a log of what is going on but have not had luck seeing anything.Things I have tried:
-Modify hosts.allow to allow ssh to all -generated rsa1 key identity tryed specifying that with the -i option on the guest computer

I have a FTP server (vsftpd) setuped on a Linux box (Ubuntu server). When I try to connect with a computer on the same network everything works fine as expected. But as soon the IP is external it won't connect..I first assumed the port was blocked, but then:localserver:$ sudo tail -f /var/log/vsftpd.logWed Jan 13 14:21:17 2010 [pid 2407] CONNECT: Client "xxx.xxx.107.4"remotemachine:$ netcat svn-motion.no-ip.biz 21220 FTP ServerAnd it hangs there. Do any ports other than 21 need to be open?
I am using TomCat6 with Ubuntu Server 9.10 x64. I successfully configured to iptables to redirect the port "443" to "8443" (Tomcat SSL), using this command:
when i try a telnet to a host like that: telnet 10.10.10.10 1234 i got this: telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused.
1/ does this mean that the problem is not due to a firewall, but that the host 10.10.10.10 doesn't listen on the port 1234? other way does this mean that my firewall is authorizing traffic on the port 1234?
and when i try a telnet on another port like that: telnet 10.10.10.10 1235 i get: Trying 10.10.10.10 ...
in this case this
2/ does this mean that the firewall is blocking the traffic between my host and the 10.10.10.10 on the port 1235?
I did a clean install of the latest version of Ubuntu. For some reason, there are still internet-issues. When I tried out the following command
Code: telnet open ftp.microsoft.com 21 I got Code: telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out
Also, during install of the new ubuntu, it was unable to reach the repos for downloading. Odd thing is that I can go online, and that when I type 'ftp.microsoft.com' in my browser, it displays the file-hierarchy.
I am running CentOS 5.1 on VMware on Win 7 On CentOS I added Bridged network adapter and the server is connected to internet without any problems, but when I telnet any server on port 25 I get connection timeout.
Code:
telnet f.mx.mail.yahoo.com 25 Trying 98.137.54.237... telnet: connect to address 98.137.54.237: Connection timed out telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out
I stopped all servers, iptables and sendmail on the linux server and the firewalls on the win 7 but still getting the same error! I added new network adapter ( host-only ) and tried to telnet the win machine from vmware Linux but I got connection refused
Code:
telnet 192.168.71.1 25 Trying 192.168.71.1... telnet: connect to address 192.168.71.1: Connection refused telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
Many of mails sent from my mail server that are in Queue; The main reason is deffered by domains like yahoo, aol, etc.but there is one more error that i keep getting and that is Host Unknown,Below is an example from mail log,The catch is,test mail sent on the same email id sent from my personal mail from the same server i.e. url was deliveredHowever, another mail containing client information sent from customercare@mycompanysdomain ended up in queue.
There are more examples of the same, around 20 domain have the same problem.
I am doing some R&D on 11g RMAN in oracle at home. i have installed oracle enterprise linux and i have installed oracle software. when i am trying to configure listener, it is error-ed out. i have verified that telnet with the port is not working and i am seeing connection refused error.
I install and configure the vncserver following and reading 1000papers, but all of this present the same problem; when i try to connect to my vncserver, recive this mesage: unable connect to socket: No route to host (113) The OS version is Fedora Core 14 and tigervnc-server i try different solutions including:Allow TCP connection modifing files /etc/gdm/custom.conf and /usr/share/gdm/gdm.chemas Disable SELinux removing iptables Here follow the vncserver configuration:
[code].....
The ip address of the vncserver is correct because i can do ssh on it. Where or what can i do?
When I'm logged on to another host (e.g via ssh), how do I connect to the XServer of that machine (same user is logged in and is running a desktop (gnome))?
You may ask way I wish to do that: There are commands that don't open an X-Window, e.g. xinput, xhost, etc.. and there are situations where you want to run them from remote.
I am implementing an automated backup scheme so I created a shell script which first creates SQL dumps for all MySQL databases, then retrieves all websites from the /var/www directory of a remote server. The latter is working as I am using rsync to get the remote files. However, the MySQL dumps being retrieved are the ones from the local server which is not what I want. I want to get the SQL dumps from the remote server as well.I have a tunnel between the local and remote server which I can connect to without using any password (I added the public key to the authorized_hosts), so I tried to add the following code to the script:
ssh user@192.168.x.xxx
I then attempted to retrieve the SQL dumps and exited from the remote server. However this does not work as I still have to enter exit manually in the terminal for the SQL dumps to be retrieved from the remote host. I don't know why this is happening. This is what the script is trying to do:
//connect to remote server ssh user@192.168.x.xxx //retrieve SQL dumps
[code]...
Is there a way to connect to the remote host AND run the script's code on THAT remote host?
I'm trying to ssh from my laptop to my desktop (both fedora 14) over a local network. I can ping my desktop and get responses, but if I ssh to it, I receive
ssh: connect to host 192.168.100.xxx port 22: No route to host
I have a server which I need to connect to and run a graphical program on. I know that you can do this with Open Text Exceed, but it's been years since I've done this and the last time I did it was on version 9. Unfortunately I only have a license for version 14 now and have no idea how to do this. how I can use Exceed to connect to my linux server?
i have made a java web server which works on localhost.but now i want to capable it handling many clients at a time.so clients running on different computer need machine name or IP address of server computer. How can i do this in java?
I am running memory test on SUSE, Memory test is just writing some patterns into a memory and reading it back in all CPU threads. After a while, when memory test is running in the background , I am trying to reset the system by echo b> /proc/sysrq-trigger command, Upon SUSE warm reset , I am seeing some UNCORRECTABLE MEMORY ERROR in model specific register (MSR : 0x421),
I am seeing this behavior on one of my server which has huge amount of memory.,Have you ever seen this UCECC error when SUSE generates warm reset when memory test in the background ?
