I ran and installation and the program opened up automatically but I can't find the program executable.
If I could find a log then I could locate this file.

Do you know of any dvd copying program? like without making the image and then burning with just one process just copy the disc sorta program like roxio dvd copier? I wanted to make copies of movies I made a dvd of but aside from image burn which is a hassle to make the image first. is there something for burning on the fly or dvd/cd copying? infrarecorder and cdburnerxp do not work for me at all.

Nov 21, 2009I ran preupgrade, and everytime it boots to begin the upgrade the video goes away and I have no idea what it is doing, which appears to be nothing.I was going to try something else before booting preupgrade, but when I run it now, it just immediately takes me to the ready to reboot part and doesn't download the packages again. I expect it to because I deleted all the stuff in /boot/upgrade and /var/cache/yum/preupgrade. I suspect there is another file somewhere making it think its ready to upgrade when it really isn't Any help locating it or know what the problem is appreciated.I tried to upgrade off of DVD, but that resulted in the very first RPM saying it is corrupt, even though media check and imgburn/verify said if was OK.

Jan 1, 2010Could someone look this over and give me the details on how i remove the package or program that did not recomplie correctly and doesnt behave right. Its called Novacom i was using it when testing some tethering with my palm pre, but as you can see in the terminal output below everytime i install a new package i get the same error about trying to recompile novacom. Im new to Linux but really liking not being on windows any more.

Jun 6, 2010I upgraded to 10.4 netbook remix on my Asus N10 with an Nvidia card. I normally don't use the card and to get rid of troubles don't install the driver. After update something went wrong with the driver and I can't fix it. When the PC finished his boot het ask to give the password for the default key ring as usual but the window disapears before i can change anything. So this one is no too bad as my password is very easy and I can do the job with switching windows and keying very fast the pwd.
But try to read your evolution mail in these circumstances. I tried to start in low graphics mode but didn't help. Finaly I installed a fresh version on a separate partition and asked to copy my Evolution and Firefox documents. He didn't, dn't know why and tryed twice. So far my fresh installation works well but I lost my mails and shortcuts. So.... I think the easiest would be to work from the new installation as on the old one even the terminal window disapears.
