From a linux host, how can I find information about a lun that has been exported. For example, if I have 3 100G luns available via FC. How can I tell which is which? I've looked at fdisk, /proc/scsi/scsi, /sys, lscsi, sg3_utils. So If I want to destroy one of these luns, how can I find out how to identify it on the san device? 2.6 kernel. Not looking for something distro specific, but i have a mix of rhel5 and sles.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been comileing that kinect hack with the 3d video capture. i did everything, calibrated cameras and everything else but when i try to open the final program (KinectViewer) i get back this error: Caught exception Misc::File: Error opening file CameraCalibrationMatrices-B00363201643043B.dat in mode rb. From what ive gathered off the web it is not opening it because its in binaly mode or something to that affect. any tips to fix it? is there a way to change what mode im in?

I also did some google searches but couldn't find anything useful. i'm trying to setup my server box.. it's being setup as a web server, file server, and setup for me to be able to access it remotely (aka i do pc repair for windows users and it'd be nice to just know where ALL of my software tools are and get to them from there)anyways.. these things are almost all setup right now.. but the one thing i'm having issues with.. is the fact that this box does have 2 hard drives in it and i want to use both of them.. now i'm running straight command line and i can't find the info i need to reformat the second HDD (which is currently NTFS formated) and use it in this system... i'm running 9.04 as a server.. NO GUI INSTALLED! i need this with straight command line...What do i need to look for to figure this out? i'm having trouble figuring this out and it's really getting annoying..

I did an update via synaptic about a week ago and it asked me to upgrade several packages such as login, su, passwd, groupadd, useradd, lastlog, and several others. Right away I was concerned about this, but I figured it's via synaptic, must be safe. Well now it's a week later and I'm trying to find some "last updated" info for these packages, changlelogs, whatever, to verify that they were indeed official releases/updates, and I'm coming up empty.
Is there something I can do to verify that these files and my system are still intact?
I have a virgin install of OS11.3/KDE4.41 I can find No info on how to modify the kio-sysinfo (sysinfo:/) page. On my system, I got a lot of partitions. (I triple boot 11.3, 11.2, &Win7) the sysinfo:/ page lists all partitions twice. once as a mount, and once as a device. Ideally it'd be one or the other. I'm not exactly adverse to going to the source. But, it's been a long time. know how to modify (Easily????) the info or layout of that page?

I get the impression that it doesn't freeze, only stops because when I press Ctrl+Alt+F1 I get some artifacts, and I can turn on and off the numlock.Anyway, to get out of it I have to shut down my laptop by holding the power button down. After this there is nothing written to syslog, messages nor kern.log. I've deleted those files, reproduced the hang, and then used a live CD to access the harddrive, but the file simply weren't there

I did the yum install and I found this helpful link...However when I try to change the dir it puts the info into, it keeps giveing me an error cannot cd to the directory. I changed the /etc/webalizer.conf file as described in the above article and try to run it manually same results. /etc/cron.daily/00webalizer Error: Can't change directory to /home/webalizer/When I put the original dir back in the path it writes to /var/www not /var/www/output like it should. I even tried a local /var/wwww/output dir. Then I tried a link to /home/webalizer/output (a dir I created) and same results.(with orginal .cfg in place)I go to my www page remote or on the local network I get page not found errors.In summary.1. Why wont the /etc/webalizer.cf file allow me to change the location of the files?2. How do I display the www page to view the data?3. How can I secure the www page so only I can view the data.
