The requested URL /nagios/ was not found on this server. How can I tell Apache to open Nagios on adding /nagios in my URL.
I am trying to solve a problem where Apache stats aren't displaying correctly in Munin. I've ran through quite a bit of checks and tests regarding Munin setup, but I think my issue is related to Apache, but my skill set there is lacking.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a nagios server monitoring around a 1000 hosts in our office. To make things easier, i've integrated apache into Active Directory for the website authentication. This works perfectly, however the Nagios website uses alot of CGI scripts to display information I get the message below when trying to show CGI scripts with an AD user. Local users work fine. 403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access /nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi on this server. I tried adding the AD users to the cgi.conf file within Nagios (which works for local accounts) but it doesn't seem to work even with this change.

Running natios server in Debian 8? I cannot start nagios3 demon, it got following error:
Error: Check period '24x7' specified for service 'check ssh connection' on host 'testk2' is not defined anywhere!

But if I commented following statement in generic-service_nagios2.cfg, it works just fine.

I'm working hard with Nagios 3.0.4 on Debian Lenny. I have some questions. I can't find any information about these issues. I have hosts with a first_notification_delay of 60 minutes.And I have the whole day a Nagios controlling the same hosts. It's good to know if the same host is turned on during the night, but my work period begins at 10:00 am and it finish at 22:00 pm, I'm not a lucky boy I have configured a notification Period to 10:00 am to 22:00 pm.
Question 1: If a host goes into hard state CRITICAL, I know that Nagios waits 60 minutes to send a notification, but What happens if the host recovers before the first_notification_delay period ( for example, 30 min before)?Does it send the recovery notification or not?
Question 2: If a hard state happens at 21:59. Does Nagios wait until the 10:00 am of the day after to send the notification? If the host recovers at 9:00 am of the day after is the notification message cancelled?
I need to tune the mysql and apache server for the comparatively busy webserver. My scenario is like this.
1. The Web request is around 2000 request at a time or more.
2. Each web request will generate one mysql query.
3. The query to database is all read.
4. This server load will be at peak for around 3-4 hours after that the load will subside. As the task will be published, around 300,000 will be viewing the page.
5 quad servers are deployed, load is balanced via DNS but performance is not as expected. Centos 5.5 is used as OS. Top command shows The mysql process is around 185%!
I have to run multiple instances of apache on the same physical machine, as we have different OAM policies for different domains.is in the httpd.conf file can I have ServerName same in two instances of apache, like

In the vhconf files I do have different servernames for virtual hosts. Apache instances are running on same IP but different ports. I am including various vhost files in the main httpd.conf file. View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed Nagios on my Ubuntu 10.04 server using apt-get and when I accessed the web console, everything was OK. I made some changes to apache (creating some new virtual sites) and since then Nagios gives me a warning message for HTTP with the message, HTTP WARNING: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found. The sites that I created are working perfectly. I noticed that the attemps are 4/4. Does this need to be reset or does Nagios automatically reset that once it detects the issue is resolved?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have apache running on my server, and also Zoneminder, a surveillance system running on the same machine. Both services runs without glitches, and I think apache's config as well as ZM's config are fine. I am not sure I understand how apache (not to mention the whole thing zoneminder, apache, web browser...) works. Pretty hard to manage when you dont know what you are doing. Also, when I try the supposed to work zoneminder webpage in my web browser, I get nothing (a blank page), or sometimes a "Not found" error message. The latest seems to be from apache because it is the same font as the "It works!" message when I try http://localhost:80
The only bit of information I have so far is in the apache error log (/var/log/httpd/error_log) and it says:

Troubleshooting Nagios configuration? I'm already done with the installation and it's working fine. Now I'm working on adding Windows Server in Nagios to be monitored but the problem is my cfg_file=/etc/nagios3/objects/commands.cfg and cfg_file=/etc/nagios3/objects/windows.cfg there's no such /etc/nagios3/objects directory is existing on my nagios directory.

Description : The remote web server is configured to redirect users using a HTTP 302, 303 or 307 response. However, the server can redirect to a domain that includes components included in the original request. A remote attacker could exploit this by crafting a URL which appears to resolve to the remote server, but redirects to a malicious location.

For example, if i have both 000-default.conf and 000-default-ssl.conf pointing to mydomain.com, and don't want users who visit mydomain.com without specifically type the https-prefix to be redirected to the https-page - how to handle users using browserplugins such as https-everywhere etc?
Another option would be to create a subdomain ssl.mudomain.com and have users who want to reach the ssl site to have to type ssl. I have tested several things with https everywhere enabled in my own browser, and it seems really hard to make this working the way i want, in one way or another i always end up getting redirected to the ssl-site automatically.
The reason i need this to work is because i run one site that i don't care much about SSL, that is the "official" part of that site, and i also host some things for friends and family on the SSL-part. This would not have been a problem if it wasn't that i use self-signed certificates for my ssl-site and the major user become afraid when a certificate-warning pops up in their browser and therefor leave the site.
I just reinstalled debian on my computer, I've had it working for a long time, only difference is I used to have Cable Internet and now I use DSL. Anywho, I reinstalled debian from the kde CD on the debian website, it auto-configured my network out of the box. My network is connected to the computer, pinging google works perfectly, and ifconfig shows that eth0 is working correctly without any errors. However on both Konqueror and Iceweasel, every time I try to connect to a website, it tells me the server cannot be found. Basically it acts like I don't have internet. Using the terminal works though, I have installed KDE-FULL from the terminal and wicd, so I know I do have internet. I don't know what it could be, like I said, I installed from the cd and this happened. Maybe there's a bug on the KDE debian cd
