Since the Fedoraplus site is down, I alternatively downloaded the FC14 version in hopes that it would work. Instead, I now receive the following error any time I try to remove or install a package via yum:

I'm pretty sure the issue here is a typo in a file (the extra "/" in the path to "conflicts.tmp").
Today i upgraded my system and started getting error when i update, install or remove a package. The error isn't restricted only to one repository so i thing something is wrong with my system.

I am trying to copy a large number of files from a Linux server to a Windows file share. Unfortunately, all of the files and folders I have to copy have 10 numbers followed by 2 colons "::" in the name (example: 1234567890::WordDoc.doc) which of course is invalid in windows naming conventions. So now I'm trying to come up with a way to change the file and folder names on the fly to replace the colons with a dash "-" or space " ". I'm even willing delete the frist 12 characters in necessary. I have tried cp, mv, tr, and several -bash scripts but get no positive results.

Then I updated it and I installed wireless drivers kmod-wl equivalent to my kernel version that is 2.6.35.6-45. I've a pavilion dv6 with a broadcom ach. for networking. So the next step was installing kmod-nvidia for my nvidia geforce but after rebooting my never allow me to log in! I can se the tipical blue-white progress bar loading nvidia drivers but not else!
my screen freeze itself after the progress bar became white. I would resolve by rescue mode but I've installed fc14 64 b using a usb-pen drive and I find no way to do this from live version.

I recently gave the boot to Windows and installed Fedora 10. Under Windows, I was using VirtualBox for all of my virtualized computing needs. I had set up a virtual network with two virtual machines - one running Windows Server 2K3 and the other running Windows 2000 Pro. I could run both VMs at the same time and still use the host OS. Now I am trying a similar setup under Fedora, I am using VirtualBox to run Server 2K3 and Windows XP. The problem I encounter is that when I run one VM, one of my CPU cores rockets to 100% usage and the other hovers around 40% - 60% usage. Is there a way to enhance performance so I can run both VMs at the same time? Third, what would be the effects of me installing the Xen runtime environment package or the Xen emulator for KVM?
System specs:
OS: Fedora 10 x86-64
CPU: Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Toledo)
RAM: 2GB PC3200
GPU: GeForce 7600 GT XXX
my update today failed, because the packages raydium and maniadrive depend on libphp5-5.2.9.so, which is provided by php-embedded, which is (apparently) not in the fedora 64bit repository There does however seem to be an i586 version...

Obviously if I try to remove nss-softokn-freebl it tries to remove all of Fedora , looked in Koji but there is nothing in there either.
This has been happening for over a week and is preventing me from installing updates, They all download OK then as they start to install I get this error message. 1. remove rpm with: rpm -e openssh-ser....rpm
2. extract package, go into directory and run ./configure command

I don't know why I can't get listed the installed and not installed packages in the "Add and Remove Software" utility in Fedora 11 with KDE Desktop. I have already used it with no problems, but for some reasons I had to reinstall the system, and I got this problem since then. So, I can't remove packages because the list is empty (picture attached), and for the same reason I can't add new sofware from the Installation DVD.
