View 2 RepliesThe thing is we have 2 servers one is bugzilla + proxy other is mailserver (internal)
The thing is when my dev team files any bug the bugzilla can't send mail to a user user@test.local.com
P.S:i am actually having problems since the sudden power cut and server restarts
the local mail server is having zimbra package installed
I have apt-mirror working perfectly for my local repo.I have it sending me an email everyday after it runs. However, there is nothing in the email. I'd like for the email to show me how much data was downloaded, number of files, (the normal apt-mirror information when ran from terminal). Lastly, the clean.sh script contains nothing to do. What can I add to the script to clean up my repo (remove older packages, etc..) My repo keeps getting larger and larger. It's at 66.7GB now.

Find the location of core utility in the kernel.2. Find the source file that consists of actual implementation of the core utility (On Fedora's kernel 2.6.31.5)3. Based on that i want to implement a core file with my own project requirements.4. Build the kernel with the above implemented corefile replacing the existing one.I couldn't get the source file that contains the implementation of core utility.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble starting Fedora 14 on my computer. The startup procedure freezes while starting system logger. Before this started happening, I had formatted one of my logical disk partitions which is supposed to be mounted under the /var directory. I think may be the cause of this problem. However, I don't know how to fix it, as I can't get into the Linux command line to do a umount. I don't have a CD with which to repair the system, so is there any way to fix this problem without one?
View 1 Replies View Related(Logger pro is an app to retrieve data from scientific calculators/ instruments) I've always wanted to ask this question so here it goes... Has anyone gotten Logger pro (Linux beta) to work w/ Fedora? I have tried alien the two .deb packages to .rpm's so it becomes installable.. The installation seems fine, But the app doesn't run (I think it was like segmentation fault or something... I don't remember) anyways.. this is not absolutely important. I'm just wondering if this may be a problem w/ my install.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed F11 I chose to install Bugzilla with it. It is installed and working great, but It is not the newest version, and apparently the repositories I have installed do not have the newest version. Anyone know what repository I could get this from, if its possible?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, I was unsure whether this should go in General Support or in Installation. The problem is occurring on my first boot of a freshly installed F12 system, but the immediate problem seems to be more concerned with Automatic Bug Reporting Tool and/or Bugzilla plugin.
That more immediate problem is: when I run the tool to report a crash, it complains that the Bugzilla Plugin is not properly configured. So I look at Edit->Plugins->Bugzilla just as it suggests, and I see a bugzilla URL that looks right, and blank Login and Password.
However, since I just did the F12 installation, which presumably is designed for any user, not a developer or member of the F12 project, there is no reason to assume that I even HAVE a login. So this is the first question: what Login and Password are they expecting here? Is there a special Login for the ABRT?
I have recently upgraded from FC12 to FC13, and last week I updated all packages using YUM. The system is running as a VM inside CentOS 5.5 using KVM. SELinux is enforcing, using the targeted policy. Bugzilla is version 3.6.1 and was NOT installed using RPM or YUM.
Bugzilla was working OK on this machine until SELinux was upgraded last week from 3.7.19-28 to 3.7.19-33, and is still broken after testing 3.7.19-37 from the testing repo. With SELinux in enforcing mode, apache returns error 500 when I browse to the main bugzilla page. The apache error log shows this:-
Code:
[Mon Jul 19 13:15:08 2010] [error] [client 192.168.40.1] (13)Permission denied: exec of '/var/www/html/bugzilla/index.cgi' failed
Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, is recorded in /var/log/audit/audit.log, /var/log/messages or /var/log/secure.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed ABRT not being able to connect to Bugzilla or the remote Core Dump analysis server? Since my upgrade during the beta phase of F15 I have been unable to file bug reports from ABRT's traces, nor has it offered me the option to file bugs to bugzilla. What it does, however, is offer me to analyse the Core Dump and backtrace of the crash using either the remote server or locally with GDB. Needless to say I'm clueless in GDB, and it requires a LOT of debug symbols found in the corresponding debug packages. But trying to use the remote analysis server always results in a message of the server being busy and to try again later. IIRC the last time I was able to file a bug through ABRT was in 13, has anyone been able to do so in 15?

I'm writing a script that will send an alert email given certain conditions. I have the impression that sendmail is what I need to do that. I just don't know how to use sendmail at all. I assume I have to set it up like a typical mail client so that it has a mail server to log into to send from.
I've looked through the man pages, but I can't find anything in plain English there on how to set it up, or how to use it once it is set up.
When booting the system ,"starting system logger : Failed" after that i login to the system as usual but the system logger cannot start, even i use the service syslog restart command, how can i solve such problem ,thanks a lot

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with pdf files made using latex (dvi->ps->pdf). I found a reported bug in bugzilla by searching the error message and made a comment. The 'problem' is that the bug is filed under evince, but I'm pretty sure it is in ghostscript. Should I file another bug in the ghostscript section, or will the clever people at bugzilla work it out once they get round to this particular bug (it's marked as low priority)?
The bug report can be found here[URL]..The bug is more annoying than anything else, so any advice is welcome.
I finnaly put my hand on a mini-itx board with the AMD E-350 2 cores Zacate CPU with ASROCK E350M1 E350 A50M R with 4 GB ram. I installed fedora 14 64 bits first, than 32 bits lastly and in both case, linux fedora 14 reported only 2.6GB of my 4GB ram. On the bios, I read 4096MB with 384MB shared.
I booted a cd with memtest86 V4.20, and it reported 3709MB of ram, that seems ok. under linux fedora 14: free -m, show: 2637MB, under monitor, we can read, 2.6GiB
Is is possible to create a report which contains every Disk usage status, Exim mail q , and etc and generate it into the excel files monthly.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been running Fedora since core 6, am on 13 now, always with KDE. I upgraded but also did fresh installs.I'm typing, in oo.org, Kile or Kate. Suddenly, without warning, the File menu is selected - mind you, without me clicking the mouse or pressing alt-F or anything. Just typing text.
Or how about this: I'm typing again. All of a sudden the direction changes from the normal left to right to the Hebrew right to left. I think I only pressed ctrl-s to save... Did I?
I can't reproduce any of it, although it seems to be related to Kate based editors and using alt-tab to switch windows. Like the alt key hangs digitally. Is it Linux, Fedora, KDE or Kate? (it can't be the computer, this has happened to me on several distinct machines) Where do I report this, to get a fix?
I don't need to be advised if a printer job failed on my screen. I am sitting beside the printer. I know someone needs that feature but how do I turn it off. What software is responsible for putting a printer icon up and then giving me this output? And will that software accept a request to change the default behavior?
View 3 Replies View Relatedjust installed Fedora 13 on a pentium 4 laptop by Dell, with 1 Gb RAM.
As I opt for Compiz, it cannot start, there is a black pop up saying Crash, and some numbers follow. How can this be fixed?
Should I install KDE?
Is there an update of software?
I can opt for Compiz but worry that it will be faulty. That is the second attempt also produced the crash warning pop up but gave me the option of keeping it or going back after about twenty seconds, with the figures on the screen. I played it safe. Also can I try it, and manually go back?
Error report shows Compiz killed by Signal 11 SIGSEGV, this was added after post 9.
When I try to boot everything goes fine until:"Starting boot logger bootlogd"

View 1 Replies View RelatedGot a Zimbra server FOSS edition running on CentOS5.5. Everything was running fine until couple of days just found out that web administration interface just does not give the proper status. Web console says that none of the services are running which infact is not true. Only service that is not running is logger. This is the zmcontrol status output
Code:
antispam Running
antivirus Running
imapproxy Running
ldap Running
[code]....
Just the logger service is not running all the others are. But web admin interface shows all are stopped. Also it can be seen that zmlogswatchctl is not running. Starting it manually does not do any good. It does not start and it dies out by itself.I tried to google and found a couple of bugs related to logger and web interface but those were old and should have been done in this version 6.
After running
Code:
nessus-fetch --register <Activation Code>
I got
Code:
nessus-update-plugins could not be found in your $PATH
When I try to run a scan on localhost I get the message "nessusd returned an empty report".
Here's the entry in nessusd.messages
Code:

I would like to get the scan working and make sure that nessus is updating the plugins. I have been looking though the nessus documentation and tried searching on Goggle without any success.
