Fedora :: Tunes Won't Play Now
Feb 4, 2010lost all my mp3's. Finally, I got them all loaded back in: Music folder, Rhythmbox, and I-tunes in virtualbox windoze xp. All of these functioned quite nicely prior to my HUA problems. I finally got everything loaded back up, but now when I try to play a song in Rhythmbox, I get no play. In other words in Rhythmbox, I pick a song, press play and the timer slider doesn't move and I get a red minus sign by any song that I pick. I checked the properties of the hi-lighted song and get the following:
To the best of my knowledge I haven't changed anything, other than updates that showed up while in the process of returning mp3's to where they were supposed to be.I also get the same reaction when I try and play a music cd.I have removed and reloaded Rhythmbox and reloaded codecs for mp3's.

Jul 7, 2011When I install wine the add/remove program wants to install both 86_64 and i686 files. I have the x86_64 version of Fedora 14. I am having problems with counterstrike and have installed it using Wine, have noted problems when both types of files are installed.
I would like to have Fedora set up just right but as with all Linux distros, am having trouble keeping my head above water with fc14. I have success up to a point and then want to go back to Windows for its simplicity. Just this wine problem

May 12, 2010I bought QCAD after having spent more than a year with the community edition. The download just unzips and I just need to run a file to start QCAD. Problem is that unlike the community edition at the repositories, this one does not installs itself. The computer I have has four accounts set up. One is the administrative account which i use to install and perform maintenance. The other three are regular users (me, my wife and daughter). What I would like to do is install the software and then add an entry on the menu that propagates to all users. Most likely I would install it in the /opt folder.What permissions do I need to set?How do I create an entry in the Applications list that propagates to all users? The same thing happens with Lightscribe. It installed itself in the /opt folder but did not create an entry for any user.
