Just denying access to sending mails?if anyone can guide me to do it via terminal as well as webmin. Why webmin you ask, because I have tried it once it works but sadly it block both incoming and outgoing mails.
As a beginner I installed Fedora 11 yesterday. Everything went well until I installed Evolution and Thunderbird. Incoming mails went well, but outgoing mails not.

We are receiving error message in outlook as 0x800CCC0F. Please guide us how to solve this issue.
The titles says about everything. CD's are perfectly automounted.WhenI insert a DVD however (I tried various DVDs), absolutely nothing happens, as if I would have inserted nothing or a blank DVD.I already read lots of threads and nothing o help... Here are the outputs of a few commands that might or might not be useful.A line I added myself in fstab which appears completely useless:
Code: /dev/sr0 /media/dvd auto utf8,user,noauto,exec 0 0 Code:
Is there any way to get Iceweasel to work with Yahoo web messenger? I normally chat with my sister this way because there is no linux version of Yahoo messenger. I'm using debian 5.04 kde
I want to try empathy in my Debian Squeeze to connect to my Yahoo Messenger. But I can't find how to add my yahoo account. All empathy shows only Jabber, Google Talk and People Nearby.
I had installed pidgin and whenever i try to Sign-in to mu yahoo-Id, its Shows that it is CONNECTING and nothing happens, i waited alot, but in vain, I had also edited this line to my " sudo gedit /etc/hosts" > "66.163.181.170 scs.msg.yahoo.com"
Recently, I fully upgraded my Lenny Desktop (to 5.0.4). Now I am unable to add yahoo and msn protocol in pidgin. I can't see those options in Pidgin>>Add Accounts dropdown. Several times I cleaned the old config files and reinstalled it. Still nothing to my avail
I have renamed two services by replacing S with K in rc2 and then tried to # update-rc.d script defaults and i get update-rc.d: using dependency based boot sequencingupdate-rc.d: error: unable to read /etc/init.d/script Obviously my command syntax is wrong. I have read the manpage but still do not understand what i have to type.
I decided to take an old Gateway that I bought off a guy cheaply and turn it into a file and web server.I purchased copies of Debian 5.0.4 i386 disks (31 in all) on the advice of a friend, the disks weren't expensive, but now that Ive installed all the disks, I'm having a variety of errors
[443.110940 end request: I/O error, dev hde, sector 76021855 [443.111074] EXT3-fs error (device hde1): ext3_get_inode_loc: unable to read inode block - inode=2375715, block=9502724 INIT: cannot execute "/sbin/getty"
My system is a 2.0Ghz Dual Core PowerMac G5 Ram 16Gb - 2Tb HDD - It is running Jessie 8.3 [new Install] and seems stable enough.....! My system is showing the message below on boot up, but I don't know why? I have had to disable the 3D video acceleration with a Yaboot parameter "nouveau.noaccel=1' to get the system to load KDE. I am also having some bluetooth headaches (along with many other people apparently).
cups does not start with the server. When I try to start from the terminal I get the error message
cupsd: Unable to read configuration file '/etc/cups/cupsd.conf' - exiting! cupsd: Child exited with status 1!
The log files show nothing. cupsd.conf exists. It is user - root and group - root with permissions set at 0644.
My interpretation of this is that the program is not launching from either boot or terminal for a fundamental reason. I do not quite see what that reason is .
I use Debian Jessie + KMail on desktop side. My mail server has Spamassassin installed. My problem is that I receive some spam and it goes though the server-side filtering.
I mark all messages as SPAM in KMail but neither KMail or the server learn that those are spam and should not enter the inbox.
How to get rid of the messages? Unsubscribing is not an option - I don't want to click on any link contained in the mails.
I am running the latest suse release downloaded directly from their website. I ran the installation after buring the dvd and everything seemed to be working fine. after the installation i ran updates and used it for a little bit. When i shut it down that night and went to restart it I got an error that stated the OS wasnt there. I then went through the installation and everything and it retained the information from the installation before (web history etc.) but for some reason every time I reboot or shut it down the system is not able to read the startup information from the hard drive and will not come on without me re installing it.
I have recently configured the kmail to receive mails from gmail through the pop. I have followed the gmail's tutorial,[URl]I was able to send messages, but not to receive them.To say the true, I received just one mail and never more.
I'm using Debian stable wheezy and icedove 31.5.0.
I have many different accounts set up on my icedove and sometimes I don't remember on which account I received the specific email I'm looking for, so I would like to be able to search through all my folders (say, absolutely all folders: all accounts, inbox, sent, trash, drafts, etc...).
Neither the quick filter toolbar, nor the "Search message" (Ctrl-Shift-F) feature seem to allow this. Now that's where the brand new shining "Global Search" (Ctrl-K) feature should be useful. However it does not seem to support partial match. So for instance if I'm looking for someone named "Lebenhaus GrossGrabenstein" but only remember that his name contains "Gross", the search through global search will return no result.
I'm pretty sure it was possible to do a proper search (with partial matching) accross all mails in previous versions of icedove, but I cannot find it anymore.
Right now the only workaround I have is to do a "grep -R" on my ~/.icedove folder, which is not very efficient and not flexible at all...
