General :: Unable To Sent Emails To Some Domains For Instance Yahoo.com
Sep 13, 2010
I have s smtp configured server , the problem i am facing is that i am not able to sent emails to some domains for instance yahoo.com or ymail.com rest all domains the email goes through
I have a problem with my VPS not being able to send any emails to Yahoo! addresses. Each time someone with a mail account tries to send something to a Yahoo! address, the email stays stuck in the mail queue and a 'delayed mail (still trying)' message is sent back to the user. I understand that Yahoo! has a tendency to block mail servers on a whim, but what I'd like to know is, how can I prevent Postfix from specifically retrying to send emails to Yahoo! mail servers? I don't want to stop retries to other mail servers.
only getting with Yahoo mail, gmail is fine, also I get the same problem with chrome and with firefoxI can log in to yahoo both classic and "all new mail", but sometimes emails just doesn't load up at all (I get a blue loading bar but nothing happens), sometimes the mail will load, but I can't get attachments or send email at all. When I try to get an attachment it scans for viruses and just hangs, if I try to compose a message I also get a timer but that hangs too.
My email server (Postfix + Courier + virtual dropboxes) can receive internal emails, but if the email is sent from the exterior (like Gmail or Hotmail) this email is returned to the 3?rovider (like Gmail):Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:xxxx@xxxxxxx.xxxTechnical details of permanent failure:Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name (#5.1.1) (state 14).
----- Original message -----MIME-Version: 1.0I've tried a lot of things, I've used this guide:http://flurdy.com/docs/postfix/My Ubuntu Server is 10.4 (Lucid), I had the same configuration with a previous Ubuntu version and everything was right.
I've got a request from one of my company's subsidiaries to block all incoming and outgoing mail for a group of users. I've read up some guides on access.db and I know how to do that, but now they want to allow these users to receive emails from a few select domains, and block the rest. To summarize:
1) Block all incoming and outgoing email to users in team A, except mail from [URL] 2) All other users can receive and send mail from/to any domain.
i'm using fedora 12 and i wanna send mail using command $mail actually i tried to send mail to my gmail , yahoo ,and hotmail emails but i didn't receive the mail so i expect that i should have some configuration on my host before sending mai
I installed pidgin 2.6.6 on fedora 13 and setup as following: protocol: yahoo pager server : scsa.msg.yahoo.com port: 5050 file transfer server: filetransfer.msg.yahoo.com file transfer port: 80 proxy: Use GNOME Proxy Setting
But I received the error: Unable to connect to Yahoo
I tried the previous post about connecting to 66.163.181.166 or changed port but still didn't work.
However I have another computer with linux FC4 and the pidgin 2.6.2 installed on FC 4 with same configuration works.
I have KDE 4.4 and Firefox 3.6. Whenever I click a link from a plasmoid widget, it tries to open Konqueror and another instance of Firefox. The page actually loads in the opened Firefox window, but the task bar shows an instance of Konqueror and another instance of Firefox, that keeps loading for a while then close. See image below:
I currently have setup the browser default application as "firefox". If I set this option to use the default application, it opens in Konqueror and I don't see additional windows in the task bar. If I change the option to "firefox %u", then it exhibit the same issue, but the process is much faster, so the loading windows don't stay for long in the task bar. Additionally, it opens the link on a new Firefox window and opens the page twice. Although Konqueror is not loaded, the bouncing icon next to the mouse pointer shows up and stay for a while.
I am able to ftp the root of my EC2 instance of fc12 with a private key. However, I am unable to ftp a user account on a EC2 instance of fc12.I do not know what commands were given to fc12 to create an AMI that uses a private key instead of a password. As root administrator I like it. However, I am trying to set up users in such a way that Windows users using "My Network Places" can access my EC2 instance of fc12. I have created accounts for my users and set a password for each of them (useradd). The problem is that I am unable to ftp the fc12 server with the user name and password. The error message the client gets when it tries to do so says there is no supported authentication method available. I presume I must somehow change server security or something to allow access to users with passwords but I do not know how to do this.
I have set up UEC on a single machine 64 bit blade. I have followed the steps as per the documentation.I am using Managed NOVlan mode. I have installed the Karmic kola image. When I try to run the instance, I get an error "no resources available. Try --addressing private". When I try addressing private, an ip address 172.19.1.2 is assigned and the instance was running.
a) When trying to ping the ip, error displayed that the host is unreachableb) I am also unable to connect to ubuntu@172.19.1.2 using ssh. Error message is displayed that " No route to host".I have searched the forums but couldnt find any solutionPS: I suppose everyone is very busy. I see very limited responses to posts. Sharing your experience and expertise will be helpful for all and will reiterate the meaning of ubuntu
I have setrup Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud on a single machine.
1) I am able to run the instances from store (karmic) On running the instance two ips are assigned (public and private) as 10.B.C.X and 172.19.1.2
2) I am able to connect to the instance (10.B.C.X) through ssh (using key)
3) However I am unable to access the instance outside the UEC (using public ip). When I try pinging, I get an error Request timed out or sometimes Destination host unreachable.
4) I have provided the following access using euca-authorize
Details below: 1) Hardware : Blade (64 bit) 2) Version : Ubuntu 9.10; Eucalyptus the one using apt-get install eucalyptus 3) Topology : Single physical system 4) Mode : Managed no-vlan
I had installed UEC 10.04. It is a 2 server configuration with CC, CLC, SC and Walrus on one server and NC on another server. I could run instance of images, But when i try to ssh to the instance, it doesn't work.
It shows ssh: connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 22: No route to host. This to me seems there is a problem with my network connection. Pl find below the ifconfig output of the two servers:
Controller: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0c:29:90:95:17 inet addr:172.18.144.36 Bcast:172.18.145.255 Mask:255.255.254.0 inet6 addr: fe80::20c:29ff:fe90:9517/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
On a Debian Linux box, SVN Server is installed. In the partition where SVN was installed, Free disk space is causing anxiety, hence started creating new instances in a new partition, though I am able to get the first screen (it prompts for username and password), I am unable to login even though the username and passwords are correct.
I followed this tutorial: [URL] But the links i created are not accessible. Is it to do with [URL] not working? I was doing [URL] and [URL], but didnt work

I have been googling a while discovering similar threads but unable to find a solution for my problem.
I receive following error when installing Yahoo Messenger. I am using Ubuntu Release 9.04 (jaunty) Kernel Linux 2.6.28-15-generic GNOME 2.26.1 Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libglib1.2 (>= 1.2.0) Package: ymessenger Version: 1.0.4_1

I get the following message when I try to send an e-mail with the option "PGP Sign" in Evolution:
Code: Select allCould not create message.
Because "gpg: skipped "67449612": No secret key gpg: signing failed: No secret key", you may need to select different mail options.
I have "Preferences > Mail Accounts > Edit > Security > OpenPGP key ID " set as 67449612, which is my subkey for signing, and this configuration has worked properly until two days ago when I upgraded a bunch of packages with evolution and gnupg among them. Since I am not sure this is really a bug or what package would it belongs to I am asking here first before submitting any bug.
I believe signing works and the secret subkey is "find-able" because I am actually able to do the following without any errors, and this is why I don't understand the error given by Evolution:
You need a passphrase to unlock the secret key for user: "Rock Storm <rockstorm@gmx.com>" 4096-bit RSA key, ID 67449612, created 2016-02-21 (main key ID C96832FD)
$ gpg --verify random.sig random.txt gpg: Signature made Sun 28 Feb 2016 11:47:47 AM CET using RSA key ID 67449612 gpg: Good signature from "Rock Storm <rockstorm@gmx.com>"
My gpg's keys configuration, notice that the "defaut-key" option in gpg.conf is commented out. This configuration worked for sending signed e-mails at least once before the upgrade.
Code: Select all$ gpg --list-keys rock pub 4096R/C96832FD 2015-12-13 uid Rock Storm <rockstorm@gmx.com> sub 4096R/7C2F5752 2015-12-13 [expires: 2018-03-12] sub 4096R/67449612 2016-02-21 [expires: 2018-03-12]
[Code] ....
From the bunch of packages upgraded the ones I believe to be related to Evolution were the following:
I searched current known bugs in Evolution and I could not find anyone related to this.
I tried downgrading it to the previous version but I wasn't able to downgrade every package related to Evolution. Curiously the previous version for some of them seems no longer available:
Code: Select all# apt-get -qq update # apt-get -s install evolution-data-server=3.18.3-1 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Version '3.18.3-1' for 'evolution-data-server' was not found # apt-cache show evolution-data-server | grep -i version Version: 3.18.5-1 Version: 3.12.9~git20141128.5242b0-2+deb8u2
Anyway, downgrading only the following four packages did not resolve the issue, and I am still getting the same message in Evolution:
I just want to be able to send emails through my webserver, setup. I couldn't find a dev forum - so thought i'd post here. I'd like to be able to send emails (form my localhost setup) to and from my global client, namely: ( ***@yahoo.com), using PHP and Apache. A snippet from my php.ini file looks like:
Code: ; For Unix only. You may supply arguments as well (default: "sendmail -t -i"). ; http://php.net/sendmail-path sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail -i -t sendmail_from = example@yahoo.com
Now, I never could get this working in Windows, let alone Linux. I could do with it working though.
I am using postfix as my MTA. It is running on ubuntu and I am administering the system through webmin, try as I might with different configurations, I can't send email from a client. when I look in the mail.log i only find:
Jul 26 15:31:00 alpha postfix/smtpd[17430]: connect from unknown[99.153.1.214] Jul 26 15:31:31 alpha postfix/smtpd[17430]: lost connection after UNKNOWN from unknown[99.153.1.214] Jul 26 15:31:31 alpha postfix/smtpd[17430]: disconnect from unknown[99.153.1.214]
I might just be crazy or particularly dumb today but what I'm trying to do is have sed replace the first and second instance of a character on a line but not after that.
Basically it is a csv file with a date formatted as dd/mm/yyyy and I need to completely remove the slashes. No problem using:
Code: sed 's////g' < file > outputfile
The only problem is that one of the columns after this may also contain these slashes and shouldn't be removed.
I must have read every single sed page on the net today to find a way to do it to no avail! Is it as simple as :
Code: sed 's////1' < file > outputfile
And then run the same on the output file again? these two slashes will always be the first and second slashes in the file.
So i'm really loving the whole gnome-do/docky thing. My question is that on other docks, you can hold down a modifier key to launch a new instance rather then switching to an already opened instance of an app. So lets say I have chrome on the win7 dock
first click launches chrome other clicks will focus the opened window shift click will open a new instance of chrome ctrl-shift-click will launch a new instance as admin
I have a ubuntu installed in vmware. I don't remember what I did before the problem occurred. In ubuntu, some domains can be resolved such as [URL].... but others just like [URL]... can not be resolved. I can't figure out why this happen. Here's output of dig in my ubuntu: Sames ok for [URL]....

e.g.: I don't want to use Firefox Add-ons, and I need to be logged in several places [via HTTPS in ff], but it requires several proxys (so I don't want to install e.g.: foxyproxy). How can I exactly start several Firefox instances, so that I could use several proxys?
