My question is:
1] i am able to send mails to localhost or any user of localhost..through any user...
2] able to send mails to extrnal domains like gmail yahoo rediff etc..
I am unable to send mail in internal domain..detail..Main mail server is exchange i configured 1 sendmail and another machine for nagios this both machine are not sending mails to me or on my domain mail id..
i am having mail server. im using sendmail.but it is not able to send to certain domain names....mails are getting back with the following errors

Assume that domain is organization.com.local And it is running fine with users created and bugzilla running on the same machine can send mails using this server. But it can obviously send messages to the internal users. There is this option to configure it to use external mail server to send mails outside the network but my external smtp server needs an authentication.Is it possible to configure it this way to use my external server to send mails from internal domain to say gmail?

I have a linux database server (ver 2.6.18-92.el5xen) which i want to configure for sending mails as and when some errors are written into some log files by an oracle process.when i just try to run this command mailx -s "test.it just does n't show any output and kind of hang.Pls tell me the step by step process for configuring the server so as to send mails from it. Also I am not aware if the required rpm are installed in the machine or not.

So, I have mail server ( posfix ) and ldap server, they works fine. I can add/delete users from posfix, and they can send / receive mails to/from any address. At same time my ldap server works fine, I have also users in it, my "simple" question would be...if I have user "test1" in ldap, what I have to do to connect--enable that user to send mails ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've set up a fully functional e-mail server and can send and receive e-mails to and from an array of virtual domains without a problem. The only hiccup I have is that only root is able to send e-mails via mutt. I have not stipulated a sendmail line in the mutt configuration so it's sending e-mail with default configuration. How can I get it so that all users on the server can send outgoing e-mails via mutt?

Mail queue is high. Log shows spam and junk mail created in my mail server. he following are the logs. Iam using qmail server. One more thing is in link is there when I click that link its go sex websites. I will try all mail queue logs. It shows the same website redirection. So I don't know its happen. My thought is spam create from that website.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHas thunderbird (recent version) have a "TEST" function ? basically, i'm trying to send messages, with 20+ accounts (different emails, but one domain / SMTP server). one account works fine - the other one doesn't. i go to my "outgoing server" & everything is fine - usernames / ports etc..) The settings for each account do show the right outgoing server. If i 'send later' & close down thunderbird, 7 re-open - it asks me for my password again (which it saves), & then it is able to send the email.
QUESTION :- is there a TESt option that will test each & EVERY account in one timeslot ? Ie, will go through each email address - sends an email to itself (the same address), & sends it. it will then try the server again, to see if the email was received. & then give me a single report, of all the incorrect settings.(I've tried this 1 email account half a dozen times tonight & i dont know *WHY* its not sending on the 1st go.. )
I am managing a Fedora dedicated server with Plesk 9 and just recently moved the email for one of the domains on the server to Google Apps for business. Unfortunately, I cannot get email messages from the website forms to deliver to addresses on this domain. For anyone familiar with Plesk, I have disabled mail in the hosting settings by un-checking the "Activate mail service on domain" checkbox and there are no accounts in the domain. (Other readings have indicated that this should be enough to allow mail to be directed to the appropriate server). My MX records correctly point to the google apps mail server.
I'm quite comfortable with command line, but I know almost nothing about the sendmail program or its alternatives and my attempts at researching how to set up this relay has been futile. I'm pretty sure I'm using sendmail and not qmail or anything else from what the red-hat style "alternatives" symlinks point to. I've also checked the /etc/mail/access, domaintable, mailertable, sendmail.cf, virtusertable, local-host-names, sendmail.cf, and submit.cf and most of these files are empty (except the .cf files), and the sendmail.cf and submit.cf make no reference to the domain in question.
Here is the output from a sendmail test that was was not received. (Private data omitted of course).

Performing the same test and sending an email to a non-hosted domain works fine.
I have two situations here :
1) I have my Nagios running on the linux box and BMC Remedy Server on the Solaris box. I have simulated a mail from Nagios to be delivered to the Remedy server. But the Remedy Server does not receive it. I even tried snooping on port 25 but nothing has reached the box.

I use this command to fetching mail from gmail it work good but it does not retrieved mails from server as I read from manual.
