I looked on Google and bing and found nothing useful.I went here:

and tried to follow the steps with no avail. The first step was to use the terminal and when i did so it did this when I put in :
I use Ubuntu operating system. I want to use Yahoo Messanger in Ubuntu. But I am unable to install it and can't use it. Anyone can guide me in detail how to install and use it in Ubuntu?
Is there any way to get Iceweasel to work with Yahoo web messenger? I normally chat with my sister this way because there is no linux version of Yahoo messenger. I'm using debian 5.04 kde
Once I open my messenger window and its time for me to log in I have my yahoo account ready to go so I key in my password and it never lets me log in. This suddenly started happening. However if I was to log in with an AOL account I can still log in. What can I do to solve this? I am assuming that somehow the system locked or disable my yahoo account from logging in.
I would like to be able to use Yahoo Messenger in Fedora 13. Has anyone been able to do this. BTW. Fedora 13 is the best OS yet. I only needs a couple more programs to really rock.
1: A DVD Player 2: A MP3 Player
I would use it as my main OS if I could watch DVDs and play MP3s
I have configured squid 2.5 stable 6. I can browse any website. I can even use msn messenger but I cannot use yahoo messenger. I have also set the http proxy settings in preference for yahoo messenger but still it does not sign in.

I installed pidgin 2.6.6 on fedora 13 and setup as following: protocol: yahoo pager server : scsa.msg.yahoo.com port: 5050 file transfer server: filetransfer.msg.yahoo.com file transfer port: 80 proxy: Use GNOME Proxy Setting
But I received the error: Unable to connect to Yahoo
I tried the previous post about connecting to 66.163.181.166 or changed port but still didn't work.
However I have another computer with linux FC4 and the pidgin 2.6.2 installed on FC 4 with same configuration works.
I have s smtp configured server , the problem i am facing is that i am not able to sent emails to some domains for instance yahoo.com or ymail.com rest all domains the email goes through
This is not Ubuntu-specific thing-y per se but i will go on. I cant connect to msn messenger service from my university's environment cause the administration has blocked all the ports that messenger needs.
I have a server in my home which runs Ubuntu and i would like to create a tunnel from my school to this server, and connect to messenger service through that tunnel, i have been trying to get this working with ssh, and i successfully made it in a test environment in my home, but the same thing wont work from school.
I have a Dell Latitude D530 Laptop (500 GB HDD). Installed Windows XP and then Ubuntu 10.10 to do dual boot. everything works fine in Windows XP.In Ubuntu 10.10 I had issues connecting to Internet(Through Wirelss), I was able to rectify this issue by dsiable ipv6 from firefox about:config and setting true to network.dns.disableIPv6. After this I was able to connect to internet and browse websites from Firefox. But I am having Issues with Evolution Mail(Connection Timed Out) and Google Talk Client(Connection Timed Out).Empathy Internet Messaging gets connected fine.I was wondering if I will have to disable IPv6 System wide and hence I added the following lines to /etc/sysctl.conf
I have 5 computers, 3 of them have windows XP Pro, 1 has Ubuntu 10.04, and the other has Windows 7 Ult.On all the machines except the windows 7 machine whenever I attempt to go to yahoo.com it says "waiting for l.yimg.com" and after awhile will load without any CSS at all. When the same machines (all except for the Windows 7 one) attempt to go to Hulu.com it can connect to the website just fine, but whenever it attempt to play a video, the ad will not play, and hulu is designed to not play the video if the ad does not play. I do not have any ad blocking addons installed at all. This occurs on both chrome and firefox. And lastly the oddest problem out of them all I think is that on the same machines I can play ..... videos fine, but if i log into an account, it will not play the video.... it just shows a "spinning wheel of death."
I can also ping www.yimg.com with no package loss.On all of the machines I have reinstalled the browser and updated to the newest flash player. On one of the windows XP machines I even tried a system restore too 2 months ago, but that did not work. This all started 2 days ago, all at the same time. I would say that it is my ISP's fault or my routers, but that wouldn't make sense since my Windows 7 machine can connect fine to all the websites.
I want to block yahoo, skype IM program with a schedule.Just unblock from 10AM - 2PM and 3PM - 5PM everyday.I tried block from router, but it's not block completely and haven't schedule function.I found that a firewall (Iptables and ISA) can do that. Have anything else can? Can anyone give me some advises
