View 5 RepliesI am trying to enable local storage with adobe flash on fedora 13. I go to the global settings web page, but it will not let me check the box to enable local storage.I am trying to get this to work with Pandora Radio.I also installed Adobe Air, but it will not let me install the pandora one desktop.

i have a similar problem on videos. some videos play fine, others won't start. everything works fine on my windows xp laptop running firefox 4. i'm suspecting problems with iceweasel and/or the flash player (i have the gnu one installed). are there any know issues?
is iceweasel port/fork of firefox? can i install firefox ??
It was working fine. Now, when I boot the computer(9.10 32 bit), I get the message asking me about the certificate. But Pandora never seems to load. I tried to reinstall the AIR app, but it tells me that it is running. I can't find it though. If I try to open Pandora again, nothing ever happens
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running 64-bit Natty Narwahl, and I'm trying to figure out how to get Pandora on Adobe Air. After enough searching I got Adobe Air to install, but I can't get it to install Pandora. It keeps telling me to try again or, if it keeps happening, contact the publisher. Also, I can't seem to understand if this is just Pandora One subscription that I can do this with, or if I can just use the non-subscription service with it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a pretty quick machine, quad core 2.66GHz duo processor, nice ASUS motherboard, high speed memory bus and so on. Basically, this is not a machine that's getting "maxed out" by playing some music.Load averages for the 4 processors according to htop are 1.48, 1.25, 0.85. Looking at the System Monitor CPU history I am seeing an average of perhaps 25% load.
However, when I am in a shell, I am getting a second or longer waits between key presses at times. My only guess as to why is that may be is that the streaming audio is on some very high priority so everything else gets put on the back burner. In any case, does anyone have any experience with this and a possible tweak that would give everything else a "fair go" so things didn't seem so unresponsive?
Is there an app that would enable me to record from Pandora dot com?I've tried Stream Rip Star but I couldn't get it to record.OS 11.2 64 bit
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time i try to watch a video, it says that i need to install plugins and stuff. i already did all of that. I even went to the software center and downloaded the restricted file thing that had the flash player in it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I listen to pandora, firefox slows way down. I have noticed that when pandora is running the Process name "plugin-container" will go to 30-40%.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know what I did, but I did something recently, as Pandora keeps getting dependency errors. Pandora is working just fine, but if I open the Software Center, it tells me it needs to fix itself before it can do anything. If I do this, Pandora gets removed. And I have an error box next to the Pandora icon on the upper right bar, telling me: An error occurred, please run Package Manager from the right-click menu or apt-get in a terminal to see what is wrong. The error message was: 'Error: BrockenCount>0' This usually means that your installed packages have unmet dependencies. And this is on a 64bit Maverick install, though it was doing the same on the 64bit Lucid install (I just did the Maverick beta upgrade today).
Also, in a terminal:
Code:
-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get -f install
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
kdesudo update-manager-kde
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following packages will be REMOVED:
com.pandora.desktop.fb9956fd96e03239939108614098ad95535ee674.1
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
After this operation, 1,114kB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?
I use Pandora desktop app, so I don't want to remove it. But I don't have any idea what the problem here is.
I want to raise an issue that needs some expert to help explain. As we know, Windows software can be run from GNU/Linux using an emulator. In that case, can some windows-borne virus or malware get an opportunity to infect your GNU/Linux system through the emulator?
I myself am switching to GNU/Linux because of the windows viruses. However, I still have many important database software that can only be done in windows environment. Currently all my windows stuff is quarantined in a separate partition(And I'm sure it contains some virus). I am worrying using an emulator will open the Pandora's box.
I am so tired of this funky blue icon for Pandora radio applet in AWN. There is no option to change the icon anywhere.I have no idea where to find it even,Can this be changed? Is there some location it is hiding that I can go in and change it with something nicer?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit today and I installed Adobe Air with no problems. I then installed the Pandora Desktop application and that installed fine as well. After the installation I saw a "do not enter" style sign in my status bar on the desktop. When I hover over it it's telling me an application has a broken installation. When I go into Synaptic and filter for broken I see "com.pandora.desktop.fb9956fd96e03239939108614098a d95535ee674.1" is showing broken. The description is just <> <>. Both Adobe Air and Pandora are working fine, and I'd be happy to ignore this warning except it's going to break my updating because it throws a warning every time.
Does anyone know how I can see what is apparently broken with the install or how I can suppress this message? I had the same versions of software running on 10.04 just fine before I formatted, and I'm the only person on the internet with this problem so far.I've gone over dependencies several time and don't see anything missing. I've tried reinstalling both apps several times. I don't know why this is even showing in Synaptic, since it's a sub app of Air...
I am looking to setup a box to play music from Pandora and mp3 audio files over a wifi connection which will also have the ability to control the player from an Android client.I have briefly looked at XBMC and Boxee, but I have no need to play video files, so I not sure if those are overkill for just playing Pandora.

I have a debian system with the following version you can se bellow. My problem is that one one single core of 4 it's running 100% all the time and i cant seem to find out why. The load is also high(load average: 0.91, 0.75, 0.40) because of this. This keeps happening even after reboots. The system if freshly installed twice and the same problem occours as soon as it boots. Something called kworker is running and causing the load / CPU load, is that normal for a fresh install??

I just installed Debian 6 with the Graphical Desktop Environment on an EeePC, and for some reason, the graphical desktop environment does not load: It goes straight to a terminal.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had noticed that my workstation (running debian testing) is having a constant load of about 0.9 (+/-0.1), even while the system is completly idle. The system starts with a normal load and then goes up to about 0.9 within a few minutes and then will stay there forever (well it can get higher, but never lower). This is the load graph after the system runs some time: URL....
I have tried everything I know to find the cultprint but there is no cpu usage and no io usage. I even have disabled the desktop and still have this problem. Also I have tried booting an older Kernel (4.1 and 3.16) with no difference in the load. Here is some information about my system:
Code: Select allĀ» uname -a
Linux localhorst 4.2.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.2.3-2 (2015-10-14) x86_64 GNU/Linux.
I have debian lenny, when I run an application is slow to load (example: iceweacel open and it takes, I can hold him iceweacel work normally), I tried to change from gnome to another and the same thing, went down some services (samba, squid) and nothing. I open a terminal and it takes, I want to duplicate it and do it fast. From a terminal without X (tty1) with root run mc and moves quickly, also run as root "sudo mc" and takes to boot.Any action done with sudo it takes to run.Can not be what it takes to make starting the applications, not the PC because it is new, and from one moment to another I began to pass this
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Debian 6. I noticed that when ever I try to open certain websites, the pages doesn't load at all. This happens when I try to open [URL] and certain other web pages. Browsers like chrome, epiphany, iceweasel, opera all had the same issue. The download speed is pretty normal. note that disabling ipv6 inside the browser configuration didn't help fight this issue.
View 8 Replies View Relatedok I used apt get and installed kde and x org they don't load right but I'll try reconfiguring them and post if i still have troubleI just got Debian to install after a lot of attempts using a v506 DVD set, a 507 net CD, and a 507 kde cd1. The 507 Cd's never made it past the installing the core packages part. The DVD set decided to work this time but the select and install software part failed. I now have a working terminal and would like to install kde and the other Debian packages that come with it. What would be the best way to do this without rerunning the installer off the DVD?
The DVD's worked fine last month when I setup a friends laptop, so I'm thinking I have a bad DVDROM drive or have some how ruined the disks. more likely a bad drive given the newer CD wouldn't work.edit:I'm running a Compaq Presario SR1710NX Desktop PC (AMD Sempron 3400+ Processor, 256 MB RAM, 100 GB Hard Drive, CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo Drive)also the Debian live CD works just fine on my system I just can't install from it
I'm fairly new to Debian, but during the past I've used Mandrake, Slackware and Ubuntu. Few months ago I've migrated from Ubuntu to Debian - I like it a lot but there is one thing which keeps bugging me.Sometimes - one of the few boots - nvidia module won't load and GDM won't start. During the "bad" boot system freezes for a while after the message "PME# disabled" and gives the message about nvidia GPU not supported. Because of that GDM fails to start.Below are the boot logs (without the leading time for easy diff comparison) - the "bad log" when nvidia fails to load and the "good log" when everything is OK. Any help?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set load balancing over 2 ISP link on a router / firewall running Debian Jessie.
There are iptables rules for balancing and forwarding:
Code: Select alliptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -j CONNMARK --restore-mark
iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -m mark ! --mark 0 -j ACCEPT
iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -j MARK --set-mark 10
iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -m statistic --mode random --probability 0.5 -j MARK --set-mark 20
iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -i $wan1 -j MARK --set-mark 10
[Code] .....
There are iproute2 rules:
Code: Select allip route add 172.20.0.0/24 dev eth0 src 172.20.0.150 table WAN1
ip route add default via 172.20.0.254 table WAN1
ip route add 192.168.0.0/24 dev eth1 src 192.168.0.150 table WAN2
ip route add default via 192.168.0.254 table WAN2
[Code] ....
The packets marked as 20, theoretically routed via table WAN2 via 192.168.0.254, are lost.
The WAN2 gateway is working if I set as default without balancing.
I disabled the rp_filter module on all interfaces and I installed xtables-addons-dkms.
I also try this but I had trouble with forwarded connexions.
I would like my CPU to be overclocked, while retaining frequency scaling capabilities. The CPU is a Core2 Quad Q6700, with a stock speed of 2.67 GHz. In my BIOS, I can manually increase the FSB, but if SpeedStep (EIST) is enabled, the increased FSB is ignored by Linux, and the max speed remains 2.67 GHz. If I disable SpeedStep, then the CPU successfully runs at the higher speed I would expect, but does not scale down when under low load. As it is now, I am only running it at 2.8 GHz.Does CPUFreq *require* SpeedStep to be enabled in the BIOS?
View 13 Replies View RelatedUptill today, my computer was dual-boot Debian Lenny with an upgraded kernel and Windows 7 Home Premium. My laptop has two hard drives, HDA and HDB. Windows was on HDA (original install from computer purchase), while my Debian partitions were on HDB. I used Grub for the dual-boot, and both OSes worked just fine. Then today I decided I wanted to kick Win7 for good. So I made a backup image (just in case), booted Slackware 13.1, used CFdisk to wipe HDA (which Windows did NOT make easy to do), then installed Slackware on HDA (there's a reason why I wanted both, but thats irrelevant to the question). After the install, I put Slackware's LILO bootloader on HDA (where GRUB was before I wiped the drive for Slackware), manually configured it to load the bootable partitions for Slackware and Debian, and restarted.
First, I went into Slackware. and Slackware works just fine. Then after I was done in there, I rebooted and went into Debian. This is where the trouble started. When I had Windows on HDA, Debian booted just fine, didn't even start in CLI, went straight into KDE. Normal install in every way. Now, after adding Slackware, it loads up its initial boot and goes into a CLI. I can do the regular CLI stuff, like navigating directories and logging into user and root. But typing startx just gives a bunch of errors saying that X can't start. How the Slackware install could have affected Debian in this way.
I just loaded Debian 6 and it loads to a text screen. How can I load the graphic screen
