I just installed the latest pidgin and pidgin-facebook-chat packages on Ubuntu 11.04 and I noticed that Facebook contacts are now treated as Jabber/XMPP contacts. Before today, I could easily distinguish which protocol my contacts were on, but this is no longer the case.Does anyone have any idea on how to set the protocol icon back to Facebook's logo?

The thing is.. I modigy my account: enter my e-mail address, my pasword. Then, ok. And when I re-enter the screen again those fields are empty.
i have been trying to change the menu logo icon with the ubuntutweak option.. after i load the 24x24 png image the panel reloads but the image doesnt change... how do i change it? now the menu icon doesnt open the menu at first click, i have to click on it a couple of times and then it opens
View 1 Replies View Relatedif you are familiar with the UFC you know that they show live fights before their PPV's for free on Facebook. well so far the latest version of Moonlight still cant load the player, it gets to 99% then fails. the only possible solution i can assume is causing it, could be that i dont have the Microsoft Media Pack installed for Moonlight. how ever everytime i try to install it, the browser crashes as soon as the install bar reaches 99% does anyone know a different way i could install this pack, or do you know what could be causing this issue an help me fix it?

i have noticed that if vista is not the active partition, hybernate does not work. it just goes black and then back to the user icon screen to log back in. another "slight" problem was that i was not able to apply a service pack. after restoring vistas dominance i was able to install the pack. is there any other work arounds for hybernate? even though you might not be interested in cleaning up after microsoft.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Compaq Presario CQ60 with Nvidia GeForce 8200M graphics card. When I first installed Windows 7 followed by Karmic in dual boot I could boot into both OS. Now when I try to boot into Windows, it displays the Windows logo and then drops back to the grub menu. It may have started happening after Windows 7 installed updates. I tried reinstalling both Windows and Karmic again and it again worked initially but now Windows no longer boots. Does anyone have any suggestions about what may be causing this or how I can fix the problem without reinstalling?

Before 10.04 I could just run Applications/System tools/ Compiz fusion icon and it would appear in my panel. This doesn't work any more! when I run "fusion-icon --no-start" in terminal I get

Now, the back/forward buttons in Firefox have no icons, which means they're hard to find, and they're also much thinner than usual. Now, after trying to fix the problem, the icon has disappeared altogether.Before the icon disappeared, while the icon was greyed out, I was unable to enable it. If I clicked on the greyed-out icon, it told me bluetooth was on but disabled.Now I need to know how to get the icon back and to enable bluetooth.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've installed Office 2007 under wine, and would like to add launchers for Word, Excel, etc to the Unity launcher bar.
So, I've created a launcher on the Desktop that will run Word with wine. I've changed the icon to the Word Icon and everything works great from the desktop. If I drag that launcher to the Unity bar, it adds it, but changes the icon to the springboard default icon that new launchers use. Please see attached picture.
As a side note, I am really starting to like Unity (puts on flamesuit), but it seems very easy to break the install of 11.04. I've had to reinstall 4 times now.
Ive had a few freeze ups on this system but the last time it affected the top panel.The wireless icon has disappeared to be replaced by an extra bluetooth icon.screenshot attached.Is there any kind of clean up utility (like tune up utilities in win)Also, any kind of log so I can trace this freeze up Iḿ getting.Ive only just got this laptop so dont know if it did it before although prev owner never mentioned it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed Faenza icon theme and just began to notice the inconsistency of icon emblems being displayed by compiz.Attached image shows the emblems of Chromium, Nautilus and Comix are that of the default icons, while Empathy andCompizConfigSettingsManager displayed the custom icon correctly. The dock displays all apps' icons correctly though.The issue does not occur exclusively to Application Switcher (Alt+Tab), it also occurs with Scale (Super+W), Shift Switcher (Super+Tab).
