I have tried numerous ways to add the keys i.e: gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys EF4186FE247510BE && gpg --export --armor EF4186FE247510BE | sudo apt-key add - However, I then get the following message:

i get the following error when i try to install autoten: root@Tex dan]# rpm -Uvh [URL]... curl: (6) Couldn't resolve host 'dnmouse.org'
error: skipping [URL]... - transfer failed from reading other posts, it sounds like a dns error, but i don't know what to do to fix it.
I'm trying to ssh from my laptop to my desktop (both fedora 14) over a local network. I can ping my desktop and get responses, but if I ssh to it, I receive
ssh: connect to host 192.168.100.xxx port 22: No route to host
I can ssh from the desktop to itself.
Right now I have a machine set up running Fedora. I have configured inittab to accept Console Logins, but I am having problems getting my netbook running PuTTY to connect. How would I go about finding the Host Name and Port to connect to?

Now i couldnt access net from mozilla. my updates are still working and i can download those. when i type the address in mozilla and press enter it says connecting and then says to check my network settings. this is the case in both my acer laptop and my desktop

When I start again, I notice there is something going wrong It said to me I don't have internet. I check the modem and yes I have internet, I check the lan cable and it looks it works fine. So I thought it was the ethernet card that was bad. So I restar again and enter with Windows 7, and yes I have internet. So it made be one problem of my Ubuntu. Ok, so the computer I want to try this out on is not connected to the Internet at this time (and I even think the Ethernet is broken because when I tried to hook it up where the on-line computer is I couldn't seem to get my computer to connect).
So I wonder if I really need to be on-line to do the install.
I install and configure the vncserver following and reading 1000papers, but all of this present the same problem; when i try to connect to my vncserver,recive this mesage: unable connect to socket: No route to host (113) The OS version is Fedora Core 14 and tigervnc-server i try different solutions including:Allow TCP connection modifing files /etc/gdm/custom.conf and /usr/share/gdm/gdm.chemas Disable SELinux removing iptables Here follow the vncserver configuration:

The ip address of the vncserver is correct because i can do ssh on it. Where or what can i do?
This is an example of the error I receive when trying to do an update via YaST, YaST2, or zypper. Basically, curl is broken. With out it functioning normally, I can't use openSUSE's update mechanism to fix my system. My latest issue seems to be with Yum; more specifically, I don't think it can contact the main "updates" server to see if there's any actual updates available. When I try, I get this:

Lucid i386 Dell inspiron 1525 with 4695agn, iwlagn driver Just installed a new router, Netgear WNDR3700 Old inspiron laptop with Hardy installed connects fine to G wireless An Acer with Vista connects fine to G wireless My Inspiron with Lucid connected fine until I enabled WPA on the routers 5Ghz band. At that point I couldn't connect on any, 2.4 Ghz no enc, or the wired connection. The Windoze pc was connecting fine. Fired up the old Hardy laptop and it connected fine.
Now here's the weirdness!! As long as I had the Hardy laptop connected either wired or wireless, I could connect to the router with the Lucid laptop to unsecured wireless or wired. Soon as I turned off the old Hardy laptop, my Lucid machine could not connect? WTF? I then disabled security on the router and I could connect with my Lucid machine?
I have installed openSUSE KDE 11.3 on my notebook. Everything looks great, but I can't connect on internet. It looks like dhcp don't work. Wireless works fine, only auto eth0 don't work.

yesterday I installed pulseaudio and pavumeter. This morning I couldn't connect to the internet anymore. I checked the settings but couldn't see any changes. I read the post at [URL]?t=370108 and I'm going to post the outcome of the instructions here:

I was playing around with bash scripting and the last thing I remember doing was checking for suid root files. However now I cannot launch sbopkg, tpfand etc and the binaries are nowhere to be seen. I was experimenting with the sticky bit for tpfand so I could load it as a normal user.

However now tpfand is no long in /usr/sbin. But a whereis produces the following results.

The same applies for sbopkg, which I have not touched. I think this problem is also related to the wicd error stating it cannot connect to DBus client From these symptoms has anybody experienced anything like this before from tinkering?
I was having a problem with cairo dock, asked on the board how to resolve was told to reinstall the visual driver for my monitor since I have an ati vid card since with the updated kernal u have to reinstall those drivers(didn't know that, I'm new to opensuse). I thought I did that before so I completely uninstalled it so I could then do a fresh reinstall but I wasn't paying attention and my laptop was unplugged for a while. I stepped away while the install was going on and my laptop died.
I tried plugging it in but had to restart my laptop when I did I got the command line rows and when I tried to start GDM it wouldn't start, I did so as SU. Attempted to connect to the internet via networkmanager and couldn't get wifi or wired to work. Anyway I can access my desktop visually just so I can start yast and install the driver or will I have to reinstall 11.2 or use the cd to repair? If so how do I use the cd to repair?

I have Debian 5.0.3 and I've had a lot of trouble installing Linsys WMP600N PCI card - Ralink chipset - 2860. I had it installed in the board, before I installed/compiled Debian. What I'm thinking I should have done was chosen Desktop and Laptop during the guided install. I tried expert install, but I was over-whelmed with options. Anyways, I tried NDISwrapper in many different ways. My last tries showed that the driver and device was working. No matter what I did, I would never get an interface with a wireless extension. I couldn't find any useful information anywhere, including Ubuntu forums - I'm sure you think I'm stupid or evil.
I eventually figured I would get the drivers directly from Ralink website. [URL] The one that looked like it would work (RT2860PCI/mPCI/CB/PCIe(RT2760/RT2790/RT2860/RT2890) would error out when I would try to extract anything. I used 2nd one (RT2860WebUI) which worked. If anyone does use it, be sure to read all documentation that is included, including the README. After I was done installing/compiling it, I got ra0 interface and could see my router.
I couldn't connect to it because I use WPA2 and that wasn't an option for encryption. I will work on that later. I wanted to share this information with anyone who might need this.
I have the following route setup:
PC Client (192.168.2.100) --> Router (192.168.2.1) --> DSLAM (on our internal network) --> PPPOE Server (192.168.9.1) on Linux Ubuntu 8.04 on interface card eth2.
On the same Linux Ubuntu Machine on interface card eth1 (static IP 192.168.5.100), I have an Asterisk SIP server plugged into it. SIP Server = 192.168.5.101 (static)
I need the PC client (192.168.2.100) to register via SIP soft phone to register on the SIP server (192.168.5.101). From the PC client I can ping as far as the eth1 interface (192.168.5.100)...but cannot ping the SIP Server (.101).
From the SIP server (192.156.5.101)...I can ping 192.168.5.100, I can ping 169.254.5.228 (Eth2:avahi), but not sure what that is. I cannot ping the pppoe default gateway (192.168.9.1), which I think you cannot anyway.
No firewalls are running. My IPtables I cleaned out totally. I think it might be as simple as a route add, but I really have no clue. Tried building a virtual bridge using brctl LINUX betweeh eth1 and eth2, but that made things worse (could not ping anything after that)

I do not understand why I cannot ping 192.168.5.100, but not .101 I have opened the Asterisk Sip Server to accept connections from 192.168.2.0, 192.168.5.0, and 192.168.9.0 subnets.

Trying to get a handle on xen. I have installed Centos 5.3 and I have created one xen guest using default 192 address. I can access this guest no problem from the xen host/server but how do I setup a bridged (I assume) xen guest so it can be connected from any network within my domain, The xm host is network is 10.32.161.0

I've set up a server running Ubuntu 10.10 (desktop) with apache. Problem is: When I try to configure multiple virtual hosts I can only access the first one. I'm sure that I'm missing something basic in my setup, but I cannot seem to figure out what.
What I want is simply two virtual hosts, one only available on the LAN where I can test my php files and one "live" available from the outside.
Heres what I've done:
Installed Apache2.2
Copy /etc/apache2/sites-available/default -> /etc/apache2/sites-available/dev
Modified "dev" config DocumentRoot and Document to point to /var/www/dev
Modified "dev" config VirtualHost to <VirtualHost *:1337> (port change right?)
Modified "default" config DocumentRoot and Document to point to /var/www/live

Live works fine, but dev cannot connect (as if there is no server there).
All I want is to be able to access files on one Ubuntu computer from another Ubuntu computer via a home wireless network. I have been at this for a week now. Scouring the web for answers and so far I have come up with this: Port 22 is open. I have both computers IP addr's via right clicking on the network icon-> Connection Information. ssh is installed and running. Both computers are listening on port22. But when I try Places->Connect to server, I get "no route to host". I'm not a networking guru and I'm at a complete loss on this.
