I compiled and installed the Asterisk ztdummy package because there is no rpm for it, unfortunately, and i even reinstalled asterisk, but i still get the "No application 'Meetme' for extension..." error when trying to conference. I do a "module show", and it lists other modules that were compiled with the zt source, but not ztdummy.Does anyone know how to fix this? This is more than a passing interest or hobby, because i need to conference about 3 to 5 people to help me test a new Website Content Management System and User Forums Management System i am about to launch as a service.
For my IPT assignment i need to make a database for a company and basically my only problem is i can't work out how to password protect a single table in the database.
I tried clicking encrypt with password but that encrypts the entire database.
my database (PostgreSQL) has ever funtioned OK, but today don't let me insert a new row in a table and the record itsn't duplicated. I did a vacuum full and reindex the database and the problem continue. I don't know what the fuck is happening
I want to download some specific information(age of the building, value, square feet, etc.) from a county auditor's website:[url]
For every property in the county and ultimately match it to a .dbf file I already have containing geographic information for each parcel.
The website only displays information for a single address at a time in response to a query form asking for either the parcel ID# or street address. I have a table of all the county's parcel ID#'s and valid addresses-about 350,000 or so of them.
I imagine there must be some way to automatically crawl the website inputting the information from my tables into the form and gathering specific information in some sort of format that could then be matched to corresponding information in my .dbf file.

Is there an app that can monitor bandwidth in real time? Also run reports? I have SARG installed, but seems to only monitor HTTP traffic, I need to monitor all traffic. I have fedora 13, and installed asterisk.. Before I had centos and have my asterisk running to test and learn.. but in fedora I see there is a http miniserver for admin asterisk..I edited enable, port and ip in the file http.con but when I try URL...I got 404 page no found Asterisk server.
I currently have Zarafa and I am going to install MythWeb for MythTV.To solve the permission problem for installing amportal (FreePBX), I have to change Apache's user and group to Asterisk instead of this, which I've commented out:User ${APACHE_RUN_USER}Group ${APACHE_RUN_GROUP}Once FreePBX is installed completely, I checked to make sure FreePBX is working and it worked. i just had to switch from 10 to 11 until 12 comes out, and after setting up asterisk, i noticed VERY VERY BAD sound quality, mostly comprised of severe jittering. I noticed that the way Fedora lets you work with your sound devices in 11 is way different (nicer, but obviously not complete) than ever before, and i am using the same asterisk configs as before, so i'm positive that this is NOT an asterisk issue, and does NOT really belong in this forum; however, only asterisk users will be able to replicate or identify with this issue.
Have any of you 11 users had this happen to you, and if so, did you figure out how to solve it? I'm sure that i can *try* adjusting asterisks jitter buffer settings, but like i said, it was NEVER an issue before 11... Another clue would be that i cannot get crap like gtk-recordmydesktop to produce sound (but that may very well be another issue; however i doubt it)...
i have got an Debian Lenny NAS with 7x1,5TB of a Softwareraid5. Kernel Version is 2.6.32. The Raid ist mountet in /media/raid5. The System ist on a seperate disk and work fine. After i tested the performance of the raid with:
Since i had done this i cant find any Data on /media/raid5. cat /proc/mdstat and mdadm --detail /dev/md0 looks fine. All UUID's are good. But: The SuperBlock is unreadable and the partition table was not found. mke2fs -n /dev/md0 shows some Backup of the Superblock , but i cant repair it with fsck.ext4: Illegal inode number on /dev/md0.
I have tried several times to do an av scan with the ASUS provided software and each time it says "failed" NO av database found. I tried the "hold depressed the power button and press F9 several times and reboot to factory settings" Nada, zip -nothing. It does update the av definitions okay. Do I really need to download a good FREE av? If so, which one?
Do I need a firewall? Cox broadband is my ISP and the free Macaffee does not support my linux os!

I'm trying to boot into the Live CD (64bit version) and it dies with an error "nouveau .... 0x8DF6 Init table command not found: 0xA9". Get the same error after I install and try to boot into Debian, it starts booting but errors out later.

During install of 9.10 server, both ethernet adapters were found. One is built-in to the motherboard, the second is on a PCIe slot. Selected the on-board adapter for eth0 during install, set fixed IP on the web, connected, updated, etc. w/ no problems. The second adapter is for the LAN.BUT, on first and subsequent reboots after installation complete the second adapter is not detected at all, as if it were not even plugged into the PCI or the driver not loaded. This happens on either of two slots, with two different adapters, Intel or Netgear, both pretty recent, and both of which are detected and work in a different box. 'Ethtool eth1' says device not found.This is a fairly recent motherboard 3N78EM).Since the adapter was found during installation I'm assuming that the problem is not with not the board. I've built several server systems with two or three ethernet adapters and have never run into this situation.
There are two connections in my Ubuntu server: eth0 is a normal interface and, eth1 is configured with an static IP, and has an domain name with that IP. But this connection is charged by bytes, very expensive.
how to set up the route table so that: everyone can access my server with the domain name, and let the traffic goes from eth0 as much as possible(I have a proxy service on my server. At least, let the proxy traffic goes from eth0)?
I have an Ubuntu 9.10 server installation which have been working flawlessly for some months. The server runs bridged networking, because of some VMs that runs on it. But, a couple of weeks ago the network connectivity have started to disappear now and then (usually once a day or so). Running "sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart" always kicks it back to life.

Deleting the two routes to eth0 restores the networking again. Why these "erronous" routes gets added, and what adds them? How to further debug this?

I would like to store JPG files in a mysql database table. I figured that using BLOB fields on the one hand and the 'load_file' command on the other would do the trick. Here is how I set up the table:

Then I tried to enter the data: mysql> insert into blobtable(filename,file)values('pic',load_file('/var/www/temp/IMGP4764.JPG'));
Which got me the following error signal: ERROR 1048 (23000): Column 'file' cannot be null
It seems to me that the file path to the JPG file (although correct) is the source of the problem, and is causing the load_file command not to work. My first attempt was with the JPG file in my PC's home directory. When that returned the same error message, I figured that maybe the file had to be in the PC's (server's) web area so I put it under the 'www' directory.
routing tables using "ip route 2" I have a server(server1 from now on) with eth0(internet connection) and eth1(lan connection). eth1 have 2 more alias devices = eth1:1 and eth1:2 On my server 1 the eth0=public ip, on eth1=192.168.10.1/24, eth1:1=192.168.20.1/24 and eth1:2=192.168.30.1/24 server1 is running squid and iptables to all 3 networks (eth1, eth1:1 and eth1:2) All of the clients have access to internet. Now what i want to do is add 3 more networks via a router(linuxBox = server2 from now on) connected to server1 in eth1. so the network will be like this:

I want to set up Ubuntu Server 10.04 on a computer I have lying around, set up a database for storing information, and a website for accessing it, which is only avaliable on my local network (it would just have an IP address on my local network). How would I do something like this?
I want to set it up on probably a Dell, and I want to be able to have multiple fields on the website that people see when they go to that IP address where they can enter information to be recorded in the database, and then be able to easily access it with a login, which different people would have different ones, so they can see just the information they entered..
I have a mysql server which "goes down" every day at 9, because the debian-sys-maint user needs to run a table check, for no particular reason.
I assume it's a cron-job, but I can't find anything related to this. There's the mysqlautobackup script, but that runs at 4 in the morning, which is expected and perfectly acceptable.
