Jun 1, 2009I just installed Adobe Flash Player 10 and it says it's installed, when I go to firefox and Epiphany it still has flash player 9, Ive quited the browsers and everything Ive uninstalled/reinstalled still no luck.

Jan 6, 2010I have been trying to get Adobe flash player to work for sometime now. I have got it to work in Kubuntu, Xubuntu and OZOS but nogo for Ubuntu. Some have said that should look in the repository only to find out that the repository would correctly be named the software center and that it has no files named flash or adobe. I installed flash from adobe directly but it did not work. I am using 32bit Ubuntu.

Or if it's possible by using something other than ibus, I'd also be interested.
I did a search but I can only find threads like [URL]this which refer to older Flash versions and claim that it's fixed now.

Sep 10, 2010Flash isn't working anywhere, and haven't done so properly since I first installed Ubuntu 10.04 a month ago. I have been able to make it work for a short period of time, by doing the following:
1. clearing the cache and the cookies.
2. installing the correct plug-ins for my system.
sometimes when I do this, Flash will work for a few minutes. what can I do to resolve the problem completely? the Flash plug-in I have is the Adobe Flash plug-in, version 10.1.82.76ubuntu0.10.04.2.

Dec 28, 2010Using firefox 3.6.13 on 8.04. Doing aboutlugins shows Flash 9.xxx installed. So, natch, does the drop down. I can disable Flash from the drop down, but can't remove it! Using terminal I type in

sudo apt-get remove --purge flashplugin-nonfree
and get message back saying that the plugin doesn't exist. Certainly can't remove something if it isn't there, now can we?
50 how-tos all have same command line, and it fails me. What next? I am more than happy to remove firefox, but I know that when that happens, all the plugin in info will say behind.

May 12, 2010I always get "no camera found" in camera tab in flash player settings . What can be the problem. My camera is working fine. I have flash player also installed and working absolutely fine.
I tried viewing my camera with "cheese" and i can perfectly see it. But i am unable to see it with Flash player. I visited ustream.tv to see if i can broadcast my video but it always shows "no camera found" in camera tab. How do i resolve this? I even tried solution posted in this thread [URL] :-

May 21, 2010i am running ubuntu 10.04 i installed ubuntu restricted extras, and i went on videos. although i can view the video, i can't click on pause, the volume controls, or seek through the video, or put it into fullscreen mode. i went into the software center and searched "adobe flash player", and it came up with adobe flash plugin 10. it doesn't have an "install" button on it, so i double-clicked it, and it said " sorry, 'adobe flash plugin 10' is not available for this type of computer (amd64)."
