I always get "no camera found" in camera tab in flash player settings . What can be the problem. My camera is working fine. I have flash player also installed and working absolutely fine.
I tried viewing my camera with "cheese" and i can perfectly see it. But i am unable to see it with Flash player. I visited ustream.tv to see if i can broadcast my video but it always shows "no camera found" in camera tab. How do i resolve this? I even tried solution posted in this thread [URL] :-
But still it doesn't work. I also tried gkstreamer-properties and my webcam works just fine in video for linux 2.
I have been trying to solve this since 3 hours. Waiting for your replies
UPDATE :- i am now able to view my webcam using the command given above. But how do i the same for chrome? LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so chrome & doesn't work
I just installed Adobe Flash Player 10 and it says it's installed, when I go to firefox and Epiphany it still has flash player 9, Ive quited the browsers and everything Ive uninstalled/reinstalled still no luck.
I want develop an application using webcam.I want to capture the video from webcam and i want to dispay the video.can anybody suggest me how to do that thing using C lanuguage
We have a webcam that is connected to a tv tuner card via the rca input on the tuner card. I want to set that up so that i can view it remotely over the internet. I've seen you can use vlc to do this, but the problem is that I don't want to have the webcam's computer recording and streaming all the time. I want it to only do that when i want to view it from my remote computer. We don't view the camera at a regular time, so a set schedule wouldn't work.
I hope this all makes sense. Is this possible, and if so, what is recommended for getting this done.I'm hoping i can somehow control this with a remote control and we'd see it on our tv monitor (that'd make it easy for the non-computer people here), so if it could be done in a script that would be great cause i can have the remote run the script.
Can't view .vob videos using movie player gives the message "could not read from source" VLC says "could not read the file" kaffeine says "read error" Now this sounds like there's a problem with the DVD, yet if I boot into windows it works
I am having trouble viewing videos with the movie player. It plays the audio just fine but only has flashes of video throughout. I believe it has something to do with the frame rate but I don't know how to change it. I have read about frame drop and it is used on slow computers but my computer is an AMD Phenom x6. What can I do to play this video?
For ages, I've been having problems getting my webcam to play with websites that use Flash. The cam works fine with programs like Camorama, but when I try to use it on a Flash site, Flash always crashes regardless of the browser used (Chrome, Firefox, Opera).
I used to use the workaround described here, but since upgrading to 11.04, even that doesn't work any more. I've tried installing the latest flash beta using the Firefox Flash-Aid plugin, to no effect.
I've just upgraded to the LTS and now I can't watch any videos on Your Tube via Flash in either Firefox or Chrome. I had the issue with Chrome before I upgraded, but I could still see them in Firefox without an issue and I figured the upgrade would fix this. I am getting the error message 'The Adobe Flash plug-in has crashed' and then underneath the viewing panel it says 'Upgrade to Flash Player 10 for improved playback performance. Upgrade Now or More Info.' I have checked in the software centre and it is showing a green tick next to Adobe Flash plug-in for Mozilla.
I have installed the Flash 10 plug-ins for Mozilla (Firefox) as well as several others including some add ons, etc. I have several different video players including VLC, MPlayer, Gnash SWF Player and more but I still can not view any streaming video if it is in SWF 9 format.
Running amd64 Natty. I cannot get my Quickcam 4000 to show up in Tinychat, or any other flash site. Already checked permissions in Flash...is this a bug?
Today I wanted to make my webcam work in a flash chat. I added myself to the video group and added export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so to my ~/.basrc file Then I loggued in again... and the problem is:
If I open a shell and start firefox from there (as a regular user), webcam will work ok. If I start Firefox from the top bar, it will NOT work. I checked preferences and it does not seem to do anything weird anybody has a clue? It seems weird to have that pretty top toolbar and not be able to use it.
Cannot get FlASH install correctly so I can view shows on HULU. In the past I could but recently HULU request that I install FlASH. When I click on the link provided and run the install, the install appears to download but I still cannont view shows on HULU.
Ever since I upgraded to Namoroka a few months ago I can't view video from ....., flash videos, java etc... I always keep my machine updated with the update mgr, did some plugin updates but stil no videos. I'm getting tired of copying and pasting url's into epiphany each time I want to see a video. I'm running Namoroka ver. 3.6.5pre mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0 on Karmic.
im needing to view a adobe flash crash report, or preferably watch the crash happen(in the code)
Ubuntu 11.04(up to date) flash plugin - v11,0,1,98 flash aid - adobe beta, from adobe labs Firefox - 6.0(according to the "about firefox")
i have installed and reinstalled both the flash player and flash aid is there a way to do this and how?the player works on some sites and not others is it possible that im up to date and there not?
Well I have been trying to view some flash videos on the net and apparantly need to update my flash player. So I go to the Adobe page and download the YUM for Linux. It says it's installed, but I still can't view flash videos.
I'm running Fedora 15 64-bit on my laptop, an HP HDX. I installed skype and got flash video to work (the former required that I install some 32 bit libraries, the latter required that I install an experimental 64-bit flash plugin from a tar ball). Now, they both work fine, but they don't work at the same time. In other words, I can have a video/audio chat, or just an audio chat, with someone on skype, but during that chat, I cannot view flash videos, nor can I watch a movie (and I verified that the problem is not just with totem) at the same time. If I'm watching a movie or listening to audio, skype will refuse to make a call.
Furthermore, when I have the sound settings open, and I'm using skype, in the applications tab of the sound settings I get "No application is currently playing or recording audio" which seems highly suspicious. I know this is a fixable problem because skype 64 + flash and/or movies works fine in the most recent iteration of 64bit ubuntu on my laptop, so it is just a matter of settings. I can't find much in the way of pulseaudio or alsa management apps in any of the repositories.
Is there any software other that zoneminder that will allow me to view/record multiple webcams at once? I have 4 uvc compliant webcams and have not been able to find some software with that type of capability.
Flash isn't working anywhere, and haven't done so properly since I first installed Ubuntu 10.04 a month ago. I have been able to make it work for a short period of time, by doing the following:
1. clearing the cache and the cookies.
2. installing the correct plug-ins for my system.
sometimes when I do this, Flash will work for a few minutes. what can I do to resolve the problem completely? the Flash plug-in I have is the Adobe Flash plug-in, version 10.1.82.76ubuntu0.10.04.2.
it starts going on a go slow then crashing and a logo face comes on the screen. ive redone ubuntu and the flash player but its still happening its adobe 10, is they any other flash player that i can use. or is there some how i can pull a log to see whats happening. its doing my head in i was chatting to a fit bird on omegle and the frigging thing crashed.
