I am trying to push some data from LINUX system to SQL Server using perl scripts. To do this I need ODBC SQL Driver for linux system. Right now I am using easysoft ODBC driver. But it is trail version. Do any one have a idea is there any free ODBC SQL driver that I can install on linux system??

I'm trying to write a script to do the bulk of my work for me. What I want to do is go through a loop and select records based on loop control variable states. Unfortunately the database I have to use is an MS Access MDB file. I've been reading around and found a link to PHP documentation [below]. What I read in this was that if you have PHP on a Windows BOX you already have the ODBC drivers required to make the database connection. If you're on a *nix box you will need unixODBC drivers from openlink[not open source]. But it also goes on to say that this will allow you to connect from a Linux box to an MDB on a Windows box. What I really want to do is connect to the MDB on the local Linux box. Is this possible?

But on CentOs , users couldn't login using nis username.I have mounted home directory using nfs in fstab . I can switch to nis users homedirectory only when i am root. But nis users could'nt login on reboot.' ypcat passwd username ' is showing the output . No selinux is enabled in the client .Is there is any problem with Suse server to Centos Client in nis ??

I saw that x11-video-fglrxG02 and ati-fglrxG02-kmp-desktop are NOT checked, so, I selected both in YAST2, then, OpenSUSE started to download the required files. but, in the middle of downloading, I got a "wrong digest", said that ati-fglrxG02-kmp-desktop has wrong checksum.

I have a Rosewill b/g/n wireless USB adapter. I downloaded the source code of the linux driver from Rosewill website. How do I compile the code and then install the driver? I think that I can just type "make" to compile the code, but, how to install the driver after the compilation?

But with 11.3, it's able to scan for my wireless network, and I see RX/TX packets moving, but DHCP isn't able to get an address. I've tried the 2010_0115_RT3562_RT3062_Linux_STA_V2.3.0.0 and 010_07_16_RT3062_Linux_STA_v2.4.0.0 drivers from the Rosewill site, and the rt3562sta-kmp-desktop-2.4.0.0_k2.6.34.0_12-1.1.i586.rpm package from Suse, all with the same result. I've even tried forcing an IP address on the interface with 'ifconfig', so my current guess is that the WPA-PSK security isn't working.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI can see this error occurring in multiple past versions of suse. The answer seems to involve recompiling the open source version of VBox, but this is surely overkill. Isn't there a way to either a)get the right kernel version of VBox for 11.3 or b)set whatever permissions are required.
In all the answer so far I can't see a solution I can understand for these combinations, sues 11.3 and VBox 3.2.8. The error is consistent, and if the install doesn't work properly (it took my a few attempts even to install it without error messages) then surely its an issue either for Oracle or Suse? It runs ok but hwen trying to fire up a newly created XP VM this error message occurs trying to switch from W764bit to suse11.3 64bit
I have a fresh install of suse 11.0 and there is no 3d acceleration available. If I use the suse repository, which driver do I need to enable 3d accesleration? The video is integrated on the motherboard. The box is an hp pavilion a1130n and amd 3500+ processor. I installed the same suse 11.0 on a dell box with an ati 128 rage and 3d was enabled after the install.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCaution to all using ati graphics download repository. I have been using SUSE 11.4 after an upgrade from 11.3 through zypper for months. I added ati graphics as a update repository. Software update installed two ati files. I did not notice their names.
Upon installation my graphics was acting funny so I uninstalled the two ati-files figuring I'd be back to where I was. Now I can only get into terminal window after reboot at both runlevel 3 and 5; no graphics at all. I keep getting message re: display 'null' I wish to return to original graphics configuration prior to ati downloads which, I believed used xorg drivers.
I believe I either need to revise xorg.conf file back to original which was overwritten by ati process or reinstall xorg/X11 related files. I have an ati radeon HD 3450 agp card. 32 bit SUSE w/11.4 installed and running. Anyone have a sample xorg.conf that might work or some other ideas of how to get back to where I was.
As a related question, if I do a fresh reinstall of SUSE 11.4 using dvd can I save my /home files and any /filesystem files that my special software created in root directories.
I'm trying to install a GeForce 8600 XT card into novell Open Enterprise SUSE 11 so that I can get the 3D Cube to work. It currently does not work with the default nvidia card onthe motherboard.I can not find the correct driver for the GeForce 8600XT card. Can someone identify the driver I should be using please? UPDATE:I've downloaded the correct drivers but it still says that my hardware does not support Desktop enhancements etc ... I think the GeForce 8600 XT just doesn't support 3D accelleration ... period.Can someone suggest a reasonably priced video card that is easy to install and which supports 3D Accelleration please?
I have installed Open Suse 11.1 on two different machines. One contains an ATI X850 video card, and the other contains an ATI X1950 video card. I updated the ATI drivers on the 850 card and it works like a dream. I updated the ATI drivers on the 1950 card and Suse becomes unusable. System works fine before the update. Before the update I ran it at a resolution of 1280 x 1024. I thought I would lower it to 1024 x 768 to see if that would help, but it does not. I dual boot with WinXP, and card works fine with that setup at 1280 x 1024, so I would suspect this is a specific problem with my Suse setup as opposed to a Motherboard issue.

Iv setup a postfix mail server.. and setup my MX records within DNS. I configured the posfix mail server with the Mail accounts.I sent the accounts a test message. They end up in the Maildir for the user. But for some reason i cannot POP the mail server from a client. I can telnet to the SMTP server.. But cannot telnet to the POP3. Iv opened the ports in the firewall correctly. and even tried disabling the Firewall but when i try to Telnet to port 110 or POP port 110 i get an error saying "connection refused"
