I'm using FC 11 and HP deskjet F2480. the last general update completely upset my printer settings and I can no longer use my printer at all. According to HPlib diagnostics I need to enable publish shared printers which I've dome. But it persists that the printer is not publised.
This is the second time a general update has messed up my printer setting, the time before I managed to fix by reinstalling HPLib. But this time it refuses with the message 'gs (GhostScript - PostScript and PDF language interpreter and previewer)', but I have the latest version of gs already installed.
When I upload a file to a shared folder, it gives me the choice of checking a check box that says "publish", what's the difference between checking/not checking it?

Does anyone know if it is possible to publish Evolution calendars to ubuntu one as this would be an easy way to share my calendar with my wife who also uses ubuntu.
In my application, we are using Publish/subscribe model implemented in JAVA and when I implemented it on windows to windows os,it is working fine and able to publish the right data and even when I am trying the same between two different OS i.e between Windows and Solaris sparc or opensolaris. I am getting the expected data.
But when I am doing the same thing with same code on Linux and any other OS,not able to publish data on other OS's but when I am publishing the data from other OS to Linux,I am getting the right data.

I'm planning on setting up a linksys wireless camera to keep an eye on things while I'm away for the summer. What I'm wondering is if it would possible to send the video/images it captures to an ubuntu ftp server I have and if so how would I accomplish this. The camera I'm planning on getting has a built-in webserver, but from my understanding the video feed can only be accessed from local computers.
How would you ( I )enable sam to publish web pages from his ~/website directory but not allow anyone else to publish to the web? I am trying to do this in Fedora. Or should i do this through Apache?
I'm trying to develop an html template parser employing Flex & Bison, but now I found a problem and I don't know if surrender, so let's see if you can guide me to the solution (if any).
[Code]...
(Here I simplified the code to make only print what it gets, but it returns a token and the text to the bison program). Now my problem is that I would like to get the unknown characters as an unique string. [using the flex file above, returns char by char all HTML code that is not a comment!].
So, Could it be possible to make a flex rule that gets the HTML code?. It is not necessary to check if HTML code is correct I do it (before parse) using expat. Also there is no need to check the resulted code it will be done by the parser or compiler of the used language.
I know that are a lot of tools that uses this kind of templates in all languages and systems... but I'm just exercising my pour flex&bison skills. Also, using my current flex file, I have to remove the string "<!--MARKUP" from the beginning and "-->" from the end of returned string to bison... But in reality, if I could manage the HTML code as a flex rule, I could solve that sednding to bison an start Token, the code and and end token.

New install of FC12 and after logging into the KDE desktop then going back to Gnome, the Desktop Config File for KDE shows on the Gnome desktop. I ran gconf-editor and I can see the file but no option to not display in Nautilus. Is there an easy way to not display the file on the Gnome desktop without messing up the KDE config file?
after updating my system I can't start VirtualBox-OSE anymore. I get the error:
VirtualBox: supR3HardenedMainGetTrustedMain: dlopen("/usr/lib/virtualbox/VirtualBox.so",) failed: VBoxVMM.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I try to remove and to re-install VirtualBox-OSE again, still the same error. VirtualBox works as root but not from a user account. The installed version is VirtualBox-OSE.i686 3.2.6-2.fc13 @rpmfusion-free-updates

I've just installed F11 (x86_64) on my computer. I've been using x86_64 since Fedora 7 and normally I use a manually installed i386 firefox/thunderbird. This time I've tried to do the same using Fireox 3.5b4 but I got many troubles. The last error I got is:
./firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-glib-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory but that lib is not available on the standard repository. I've tried to use the i386 version of thunderbird (2.0.0.9) but I got this error: ./thunderbird-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory but on the repository there is just the libstdc++-4.4.0-4.i586 lib.
I just installed Fedora12 in a Core i3 machine... everything looks fine, but I have a huge problem... every time I upload a file (using ftp or sftp) some wier characters are included inside the file... for example.
Vista Recovery Windows 7 GRUB Extended -->Fedora 12 (ext4)
so, I shrunk my recovery in Windows 7 successfully, and booted into my Fedora 12 live cd to run Gparted, and move the partitions so that the free space could go towards fedora, I did such, and then I couldn't expand the partition to my dismay. Next, I woke up this morning, tried to boot to fedora to run SSH, grub loaded, but when I tried to boot fedora, I got the "File system check failed" error, and when I tried 7, it just went to a blank screen with a single "_" in the top left-hand corner.

Package exists in /usr/lib. Above 2 are the only applications affected that I've noticed to date. Googling indicates possible problem caused by recent flashplayer upgrade but I'm not sure.
