OpenSUSE Hardware :: Logitech Clearchat Comfort Headphone?

Apr 30, 2010

Before you think, someone posted on this already, give me a chance. I've looked that other guys who posted with this type of headphones last year and earlier this year. By upgrading to the new Kernel, fixed it automatically. The thing is, none of them mentioned if mic worked. I want to purchase it but don't want waste my money. (fairly expensive where I am)

Any input before I buy let me know. I really prefer USB now as I always lose my headphones to do the cable going bad all the time. USB tends to be more sturdier IMHO. Of course I could be wrong Just check my signature for my laptop to know the specs.

Ubuntu Multimedia :: No Sound From Logitech ClearChat Steroe Headset?

Sep 22, 2010

There are 2 jacks at the front of the computer, one for mic, the other for headphones. I plug them in, and I can't hear any sound. Have checked all sorts of documents and settings for pulseaudio and ALSA. If I play a sound file, the Pulseaudio meters are showing that there is sound, but I cannot hear anything. Have checked the obvious, nothing is on mute. Here are the results of some commands ..

OpenSUSE Hardware :: Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Annihilated Volume Control?

Dec 25, 2009

I am currently using openSUSE 11.2, and I just got a Logitech Clearchat Pro USB headset for Christmas. Like the average Linux n00b, I just plugged it in and hoped it would work like normal. Well, at first it did work, but the volume was very quiet. The headset also controlled the system's volume controls (pressing up/down on the right headset would raise/lower the volume on the system itself, not the headset). So I went to YasT2. Added the headset as a second sound card. Configured the volume.

However, I noticed now the volume icon on the System Tray has completely disappeared. Pressing up/down on my keyboard's vol. controls no longer works, nor my laptop's built-in volume dial. Did I completely destroy any chance of changing the volume from outside of YasT2? I set it to "auto config" the Logitech headset, I thought it was safe since it recognized it as the right 'set. Someone, please help me. I'm sure you all know how much of a hassle it is to open YasT2, type in the root password, and configure your sound card just to change the volume.

I just held down the volume up again on the headset, and all of a sudden my cursor just started shaking like an earthquake passed by, and I could see the blue highlight around the form flicker.

OpenSUSE Hardware :: Changing Button Actions On Logitech Wireless Mouse

Apr 14, 2010

I have a Logitech VX Revolution, and I would like to change the "search/find" button to be used to middle click as opposed what it currently does, opening a new google tab in firefox. The mouse settings in System Settings does not have a tab for editing what the buttons do. (I thought there should be a Logitech tab, but I guess that is for USB only)

OpenSUSE Hardware :: Logitech Wireless Keyboard And Shift And Ctrl Keys

Mar 2, 2011

So Ive had this issue off and on for a while now, but have never really looked to see if others have had it or how I can fix it. Essentially the problem is that kde seems to randomly decide that I am holding down the shift or ctrl key.Im using a logitech cordless desktop s510, running openSUSE 11.3 x86_64. Ive had this problem on and off using a couple of different logitech keyboards. The most often time when it happens with the shift key is when im coding, and the control key when Im running a keyboard shortcut.

I can usually fix the issue by holding down the key that kde thinks is pressed for like 5-10 seconds and releasing, however sometimes I have to unplug and then replug in the usb adapter for kde to get things right. This doesnt happen if im running a non-graphical terminal (thouhg I cant say whether it happens in gnome as I dont have gnome installed) so I am thinking its related to kde. The keyboard can be plugged into other computers and they dont act the same way.

This gets esspecially annoying when Im coding (because of all the symbols) and generally when the issue occurs. I think it may have something to do with the key being pressed for over a certain length.

OpenSUSE Hardware :: Logitec ClearChat Stereo Headset Mic Not Working

Dec 29, 2009

I just bought a ClearChat Stereo and trying to use it on Skype but no luck. Sound is working fine but not the microphone. I just can't get the microphone to work even without the headset. Everything in Kmix is turned up to max and nothing is muted.

I deleted Pulse Audia and am using ALSA because I thought that that was the problem but that still doesn't help. I have an ASUS Notebook but my brother is having the same problem with with an older Thinkpad. Using KDE 4.3 on openSuse 11.2. I have tried all the devices within Skype (microphone) but none of them works.

OpenSUSE Multimedia :: Recording Audio With Logitech QuickCam Pro For Notebooks?

Jun 20, 2011

Inspired by some recent posts from oldcpu I decided to grab some audio from my Logitech webcam, just for the fun of it. openSUSE 11.3 i586 is in use.

Code:
> lsusb
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 046d:0991 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Pro for Notebooks
> arecord -l
**** Liste der Hardware-Geräte (CAPTURE) ****
Karte 0: Intel [HDA Intel], Gerät 0: ALC892 Analog [ALC892 Analog]

[Code]...

It works! Though I have to say that the audio quality is mediocre (to say the best). I blame it on the quality of the built-in microphone of this camera. It sounds like it was recorded in a giant bathroom.

However, it doesn't work. I've gone through the whole troubleshooting guide, which generally consists of silly questions such as "Is the mouse on?"

My previous mouse was a logitech, but it was not wireless. It worked fine. Are there any restricted extras in order to get this beauty up and running? Or should I return it and invest in a more Linux-friendly mouse?

Debian Hardware :: Logitech Wireless Mouse Not Working On 64 Bit Jessie

Sep 22, 2013

I have a couple of Logitech wireless mice (M325) with USB Unifying receivers, one for a couple of netbooks (Asus & HP) and one for my old desktop. These have been working very nicely

under 32 bit OSs :-

Windows XP

Debian testing (Wheezy & Jessie)

I now have a new 64 bit desktop (Intel i5) and the Logitech mouse

DOES work with :-

The Bios
Windows 7

But it does NOT work with :-

Debian Jessie

I have found an old mechanical Sun 3 button mouse (USB), which has got me
working to some extent, but does remind me why I got an optical wireless mouse!

My old 32 bit desktop reports :-

Code: Select all$ uname -a
Linux copper 3.10-2-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.10.7-1 (2013-08-17) i686 GNU/Linux

Code: Select all$ lsmod | grep hid
hid_logitech_dj        13054  0
usbhid                 36040  0
hid                    64702  2 usbhid,hid_logitech_dj
usbcore               110348  4 uhci_hcd,ehci_hcd,ehci_pci,usbhid

[Code]....

I need to get the comparative info off the new desktop, but I am currently hampered by the old mouse and the bug, whereby when I asked for the LXDE desktop I also got Gnome installed, and Lightdm ignores my request to start LXDE and dumps me in Gnome!!

The main differences that I have found was in the modules where the 32 bit one uses uhci_hcd, while the 64 bit one uses xhci_hcd. The dmesg section is like the above, finding the Unifying device, but is missing the last line where djdevice finds the mouse..

Ubuntu Multimedia :: 10.04 - How To Get Logitech Webcam Working

Sep 21, 2010

Just found my old Logitech webcam again, and tried to get it to work on 10.04. Somehow this doesn't work. I tried searching the forum, but did not get an answer to my situation.

Here is what I can see:
After connecting (or rebooting), dmesg shows the following lines
uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device <unnamed> (046d:08cc)
input: UVC Camera (046d:08cc) as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb1/1-1/1-1:1.0/input/input5
usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo

And that's it. No message that cam was registered to /dev/video<x>. I should add that I already have another cam (Philips) that works and is registered to /dev/video0, and I also installed a Hauppauge PVR350 card that also gets registered to various /dev/video<y> files. Why the Logitech cam won't register? I'm guessing I can't do anything until this cam has its own /dev/video<x>, right?

It doesn't matter what I set the volume to when I power down the laptop, it will always be at max when I power on the laptop. how to get Ubuntu to remember what sound level I powered down with, or at the very least set a default sound level so that it's not at max when I power on my laptop?
