I would like to download a few (591)images from the Galaxy S phone. Samsung have advised me that to do that I need to place the Galaxy S phone on Mass storage, whivch I can do and plug the phone USB cable to the PC and manually mount the USB. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung phone (S3310) and I'm trying use it as a modem to access the net on 10.04. I set up a Mobile broadband connection (under network connections) and I'm pretty sure the settings are correct because it works on a Nokia phone with the same service provider.
When I plug in my Data Cable and set it to Samsung PC Studio mode, my phone isn't detected as a modem. I just tried wvdialconf and it says "No modem detected". I'm guessing that maybe I'm missing some drivers here. what I can do get the phone detected as a modem.
I have a not very recent mobile phone. It's a Samsung SGH-X480. I like it thought. I have a software called "PIMS & File Manager" (Samsung EasyStudio II) which I use to kick with to x-fer .MID files and JPEG's to my phone. Now, I'm much hoping for a way to make it work with Ubuntu. I have Wine, settings are Ubuntu-default though. I ran the installer (20061016131758640_Pims_File_Manager.exe) which installed fine. However, when I try to run the program I get an instant crash (the usual '..may or may not be in regards of wine' message) before the application is even loaded. Not very fun. I also tried downloading packages 'wammu' and 'kmobiletools'. I picked 'ttyS0' for device (COM1) and tried with AT settings, different bauds, etc. Nothing. Which seems most likely, to get the Win32 software bundle working (by setting some Wine params for the better?) or finding the correct parameters for wammu/kmobiletools to successfully recognize my phone.

I've bought the new AT&T's Velocity/GI461 USB modem. This is a nice toy because into one only stick there are integrated all the features that I need,like the GSM/3G/GPS modules. For example, I booted my netbook earlier today but my phone wasn't plugged in. Tethering did not work, it just acts as if it isn't present. I have a dell precision m4300 laptop with a 360 wireless bluetooth dell adapter On my system there is a debian lenny with kde3 and backported enable(everythings is p to date except bluez-utils and bluetooth holded at version 3.36-3)
Nowadays bluetooth more less works fine, I can send and receive single file to/from my phone (nokia n70)
The hell begin when I try to browse my phone files from konqueror...with bluetooth:/ I can see the list of all the device near me with sdp://[address]/ i can see two icons (obex file transfer & obex object push)
but I cant see or access to any file or folder into the phone.
I also try to update my bluez-utils to 4.60-1~bpo50+1 but in this case kbluetooth totally fail and a see the contextual menu of the system tray icon all disaled.

I am trying to load u-boot 1.1.6 in my samsung s3c6410 board. i am getting a error in this process,

Above two command worked fine with out any error.

In the application I have in mind (an instantaneous online survey from an audience of hundreds) I would need to be receiving hundreds of sms texts in around a minute. I was wondering if that was pushing it in terms of the capabilities of an old phone.
I recently installed openSuse 11.2 with KDE4.3...When I try to pair my phone, the bluetooth manager finds my phone. However when I try to connect it says "your phone doesnt support input". My phone is set to "discoverable" (ie. visible to all). But, it just wont work.I had it working on previous systems. But not this time.
