General :: Make BCM4312 Capable With Aircrack Injection?

i have installed ubuntu 10.10the wireless adapter is BCM4312when i write "ifconfig" it gives me eth1 instead of wlan0 or wlbut the wirless is working fine with me still have the problem that when i try to load airodump-ng eth1 it gives me the follwoing message:ioctl(SIOCSIWMODE) failed: Invalid argumentARP linktype is set to 1 (Ethernet) - expected ARPHRD_IEEE80211,ARPHRD_IEEE80211_FULL or ARPHRD_IEEE80211_PRISM instead. Makesure RFMON is enabled: run 'airmon-ng start eth1 <#>'Sysfs injection support was not found either

I have the latest version of aircrack, and the latest compat-wireless package installed. When I try to inject I get this:

I know for a fact that there are 2 AP's. This worked perfectly with my old laptop with a D-link PCMCIA card.

I have FC8 on my laptop and then I wanted to test Ubuntu 8 so I installed Ubuntu and it removed the grub loader of Fedora then I repaired fedora with DVD and then it removed Ubuntu Grub. So how can I have two OS in one grub loader.I found grub.conf file in FC but couldnot find it in Ubuntu.

I am trying to make a script to automatically run aircrack-ng.
1. One part of the program is an ongoing action. one that you have to press ctrl+c to cancel, but I need the script to keep running the tasks after it.
2. I need to leave one thing running while running another, so if I could like open a new Terminal tab and run things that would be perfect.
3. I need to keep it all as one script, because the variables need to stay.

The whole code is written in C, C++, and Fortran. Is it possible to make it to use more than 4GB memory. Now it is always crashed when it reaches 3GB memory. If it is possible, how to set up the compiling options (or configure flags)? We can use gcc, g++, ...or intel compilers our OS: Fedora 12 x32

Trying to delete injected code (one line) into multiple .php and .html files of a server with sed command but it seems there is a problem with sed when " and / are included in the string to be deleted.The string that needs to be deleted is <img heigth="1" width="1" border="0" src="http://imgddd.net/t.php?id=16382836"> However the last part of the string (id=########) is not constant (the number is variable) so I used the following:find /home -type f -iname index.html* -o -iname index.php* -o -iname index.html* -o -iname index**| while read FILE; do sed -i "s|<img heigth="1" width="1" border="0" rc="http:\imgddd.net*">||g" "${FILE}"; doneFor some reason it successfuly deleted the injection on .html files but NOT in .php files

And I end up seeing the following... does it mean my wireless card is not able to run aircrack?

I've got the latest version of Ubuntu on my machine.My Linux partition is ext4, so I need to use a Linux boot loader capable of booting from ext4.Also, I want to be able to use the UUID of my partition instead of specifying "/dev/sda3".Right now I'm using the Grub2 (or whatever the f*** it's called) that comes with Ubuntu. It's the ugliest boot loader you'll ever see, the configuration file is disgusting.So with that in mind, I'd like to change boot loader.Lilo would be OK but I can't seem to get it to boot from ext4.The older version of Grub was fine too but again I don't think it can boot from ext4.

how to use aircrack-ng on ubuntu 10.4? cos i actually installed it using 'sudo apt-fast install aircrack-ng' but got some error when i tried sudo airodump-ng eth1. i use dell inspiron 1545,maybe the following result will help

Just a minor question, but I notice with aircrack when it lists networks, it does not list the encryption type of each network.
Which seems fair enough, as you can use Kismet, however on my machine when I end kismet and the server, the monitor interface is not removed and I cannot remove it manually, which screws with aircrack.
SO, is kismet needed to view encryption types of networks, and if so how do you use it peacefully in unison with aircrack?

I recently switched from 10.04.1 Ubuntu that I had for only about a week, to Ubuntu 10.10 Beta. I switched because I heard that 10.10 comes with firmware right out of the box for BCM4312. I am new with Linux, and Ubuntu, but I do know what some of the commands do and etc. I got 10.10 installed, but the wireless options say "Not connected|Firmware Missing" What do I need to activate the firmware, or install it?

After that I had tried Mint, and had several problems besides the Network Connector. Now I'm trying Fedora, but if that doesn't work is there a different Linux distro that will work?

I need to remove virus/injections from hindered of files from my web server, infected due to virus/injection.
i am working on simple idea.
1. script ask pattern as input from user OR pattern as input file.
2. script ask the specific path as input OR or list of infected file to be provided to remove pattern from path/list files.
3. find awk sed to remove pattern.
is there any better way ?

enable packet injection on ubuntu. My card was perfectly running fine(though monitor mode and packet injection not working).I had got bcm-sta wireless drivers installed.
When i run lspci --nn command, i found out my driver to be as below::

I was playing around with Aircrack the other night, and trying to utilise the patches that would allow packet injection, but it wasn't working for me, so I rebooted. After that, though, my wireless card seems to have gone completely haywire. It doesn't show up at all in iwconfig. Before, I had 4 entries: lo, eth0, irda0, and eth1, which was the wireless. Now, only the first three show up. This is what it comes up as under lspci:

Nothing has worked, so far. I'm getting really desperate. I need my wireless working for university, which starts shortly, and I might even switch back to Windoze if there's no feasible solution.

I am facing the issue that the PC not capable to shutdown or reboot; In order to debug that, htop tells me the running processes but all seems normal, I killed few but still cold reset is needed.There is certainly a problem somewhere. the best would be to know which process are weirdly hanging. It could make this testing debian bit better to know which package has these issues.

"Your system currently is not capable of hardware accelerated 3D" in ubuntu it had an alert that installed the correct graphics driver and everything was fine but fedora doesn't do that. i've been messing around with it for three days now and i'm giving up. my chipset is nvidia nforce 430(mcp61)

I have been having a problem since I switched to Ubuntu a month or two ago; infrequently, my sound will stop working. It looks like when this happens Ubuntu doesn't even recognize that I have hardware capable of playing sound, even if I just was. It replaces the Audio Output options with "Dummy Output" and has no other options.I have tried doing some research on why this is happening, but all the issues I found were the audio output never recognizing any hardware, not just stopping after a while. I tried some of those fixes anyway, but the problem just came up again today. The only way I know how to reset it is to restart.
