General :: Request Tracker Installation In RHEL 5

I had rhn supported system and there I cant find any respos in /etc/respos.d/ directory. If I enter yum list still I can see the list of rpms. Now my question is I need to install request tracker in this system. I had d/l the .gzip file and extracted too. Its asking to make a repository. Now I had made one repo in /repos.d/ dir. But didn't able to find out what to write in baseurl (had also extracted the packages in /var/ftp/pub/ so do I need to write ftp://ip/ or what). ftp/http. I had extracted the packages in /root.

the thing is I need to install request tracker in my ubuntu system.i had installed all the applications which are needed in this. this is the output of make testdeps

Once all the instructions have been followed I get a login screen with no images at all, when I login (still no images) none of the links work (they just come up with a blank page. My apache config is slight different (as it my RT_SiteConfig.pm) examples below:

For the past three days I have been trying to install a mail server on my Request Tracker server and everything that I have tried either failed or didn't work at all. I am running Ubutnu 10.10 server and I am making this request tacker as a senior project and this server is ideally going to be the Ticketing system for my school but I can't seem to figure out how to install a Mail sever?

I installed amanda on a client that uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. When I do an amcheck from the server, I get this:

I am using bsdtcp. I get an ACK error if I switch the client to bsd authentication. I read that I should enter servers adress to hosts file in /etc/ directory?

I have a problem with Transmission. After using it for over six months without a single problem, it suddenly stopped downloading. In the torrents that do no get downloaded, I get an error message Tracker responded: Unknown error (0) in the info window, tracker tab. But there are torrents with the same tracker that don'thave a problem and get downloaded fineThe logs don't give a clue about whats wrong either.I tried downloading those torrents with Vuze and I had the same problem. What could be wrong?

First of all sorry if i have posted in wrong section, if so i urge mods/admins to move my post to relevant section. I ave recently opted a centos 5 based VPS now when i try to install custom xbt tracker for Vbulletin included with vbitty mod , at the last step where i put ./make.sh after that ./xbt_tracker the SSH client say's bind failed: EADDRINUSE.
What does this command means i am new to Linux. Any idea how to solve it so that i can start the bittorrent tracker in my VPS. My centos version is:- CentOS release 5.4 (Final)

Between Intrepid and Jaunty, the database schema for Tracker changed from QDBM to SQLite FTS. This caused corruption problems for many, the only solution to which (as far as I can tell) was to delete the contents of .cache/tracker. Unfortunately I have many thousands of file tags which I'm not willing to lose, so that isn't an option for me. So I've stuck with Intrepid, waiting for a solution to come along. It doesn't seem to have happened yet.
So ideally what I'm after is some way to convert my file-meta.db file to the current schema, or a way of exporting and then re-importing my tags. Failing that, a way of running Tracker 0.6.6 under more recent versions of Ubuntu would do.

We have a client that is currently running Ultramonkey on their RHEL4.5 server (these are oracle application servers) for load balancing. We are currently busy with a project whereby we are upgrading their systems and one of the upgrades is to take their operating systems to RHEL5.4. I have downloaded the Ultramonkey rpm's from the website however this is specifically for RHEL 3. I am trying to get hold of the correct rpm's and installation process for RHEL5.4.

I don't understand why after a successful installation of RHEL 5.3 in my PC (dual-boot with Windows XP x64), the hard disk just reads continously and my monitor.just went blackout. This happens (3x) everytime I setup it for the first time, re:detection of hardware,network, creation of a new user, etc. Although my GRUB is working perfectly.

The nagios folder that is suppossed to be placed under apache2's httpd is no where to be seen. So when I try to open localhost/nagios/. I am trying to install RHEL 5.5 using rhel-server-5.5-i386-dvd DVD on my DELL Inspiron 1464 Laptop. However, after probing the hardware, I see a message at the bottom of the screen regarding xwindow, (cannot read it as it disappears fast) and then the first page of installation loads.(this has a redhat logo and a forward button at lower right corner) BUT this page is extremely DIM. Its as good as its not there.I have

i am trying to install rhel 6 (86*64) on my windows 7 (AMD Sempron 145 processor) using DVD iso image. after selecting keyboard language and it goes to ther rest of the process for 20 seconds and then the monitor goes to power save mode. trying to input with keyboard or mouse does not seems to be helping. i have changed my windows 7 powersave options to "never".

I wanna configure RAID 1 within TWO HDD in RHEL-5 during installation moment .I have the following questions regarding software raid vs hardware raid :
1) What is the basic difference between hardware and software raid
2) In software raid , If I use two HDD as RAID1 , then if one HDD is failed , can I boot it from another HDD ?
3)In software RAID , Between two HDD , If One HDD is failed then if I remove bad HDD and add a spare HDD then is it automatically synchronized with FIRST HDD ?
4) In software raid is it possible to keep '/boot' partition in two HDD (I use 2 HDD as RAID1) as separate partition ?
5) Finally is there any documnets or sites where I get software raid configuration during INSTALLATION moment in using GRAPHICAL mode , plz give me the address.

I am new to Linux and I'm trying to install OpenSuse on my machine:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ / 2.0 GHz
ATI Radeon Xpress 200
512.0 MB DDR SDRAM
ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Shared video memory (UMA)
DVD-RW 16X TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B drive
Western Digital WD3200AAJB 320GB Hard Drive
I downloaded the ISO for version 11.4-i586 DVD size from DirectLink on opensuse.org. I checked the Windows MD5CHECKSUM and verifyied it. The installation goes fine until it begins installing packages when it prompts:
"Insert Disc 1"
Which I believe is the Disc that I burned already with the ISO file and is in the DVD-ROM drive that it's asking for. This happens for several files, and prompt me to either
retry/skip/abort/cancel
If I click Retry I get "media1.media not found" or a similar message. If I click Abort/Skip/Cancel the installation stops and takes me to a text version of the installation which then stops and says that it can not find the Installation Package either.
I have looked for reasons behind this but all I could find was possibly Mounting the DVD-ROM but the installatin runs fine until it begins looking for specific files and says it can't find the files on the Disc, even though it's in the DVD drive.

I resolved the same problem with security.debian.org by doing:
apt-get install debian-keyring debian-archive-keyring
apt-key update
but no luck on dotdeb. trying:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key A2098A6E

Say if i have a domain and i changed the registrar from nameserver1 to nameserver2.For example, if a client side cache isn't cleared, and if the client requests DNS query, would it be possible for the old nameserver1 to respond to the query? would nameserver1 never respond to DNS request?
