General :: Gpg Request For Keys Always Times Out?
Feb 17, 2011
Just trying to get some packages upgraded on Debian/Lenny, esp. PHP5, but I always get the NO_PUBKEY error from php53.dotdeb.org.
I resolved the same problem with security.debian.org by doing:
apt-get install debian-keyring debian-archive-keyring
apt-key update
but no luck on dotdeb. trying:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key A2098A6E

my 9.04 64 bit ubuntu machine is having some major stuttering issue, as in it can't stay on track and doesn't respond to keys at certain times, the normal flashing text bar is flashing very quickly and very eradically as well. I reinstalled ubuntu keeping my /home on a separate partition, and then upgraded to 9.10 thinking that'd fix it, it didn't.at this point i don't know what's happening, My windows partition is fine.

I have a problem with keyboard mappings on F13. I have the following in my .xmodmap file that is run from .bash_profile:
[code]...
The problem is that at seemingly random times the roles of the caps lock and control keys (and the other customisations) gets reverted back to normal - which makes for an awful lot of confusion! Running xmodmap again switches them to how I like it, but again after a seemingly random period it resets itself. This occurs under KDE and Gnome in F13, but did not occur in F12. Using the KDE keyboard settings dialog to switch caps lock and control does the exhibits the same behaviour.

I don't know if this is a configuration issue or a hardware issue, but I have a Kinesis Advantage USB keyboard and for some reason the F3-F5 keys aren't responding as they used to. They don't respond to anything and, when I tried using F5 on Emacs, it said <XF86AudioNext> is undefined, so I guess it's a weird mapping problem.
Any idea how I could remap them to the original meaning?

I'm running Debian (Squeeze) and I have a toshiba portege m700. It has five buttons on the front just under the screen, which are the only ones accessible when you flip the screen over into tablet mode. One of them is for rotating the screen, and another is for switching to external display. I want to remap the remaining three to control, alt and super so that I can use shortcuts with the stylusThe problem is, when I used showkey to find out the key codes, I found out that each button generates more than one key code:Button 1:
key 126 press >> super_r, although this is distinct from the actual super key (125)
key 7 press >> 6
key 7 release
key 126 release

I have a VPS CentOS 5.5 32 bits. It does not answer any DNS request made to the server.
I need to configure Bind to answer these requests.
I have been reading about that for several days and here: [URL]
But it is uncompleted.
I need to configure these too:
chroot DNS with BIND avoid cache poisoning avoid being an open resolver port randomization
I have found several tutorials but all of them have different points of view.
I am looking for a good tutorial that has everything:
Setting up bind on CentOS 5.5 chroot DNS with BIND avoid cache poisoning avoid being an open resolver port randomization configure iptables for bind

Say if i have a domain and i changed the registrar from nameserver1 to nameserver2.For example, if a client side cache isn't cleared, and if the client requests DNS query, would it be possible for the old nameserver1 to respond to the query? would nameserver1 never respond to DNS request?

I am working on a simple script that should take two command line arguments, a [number] and a [name]. The first thing the script should do is check to make sure that no more and no less than two command line arguments have been entered when calling the script - an error message should be delivered if the condition is not true.
If two args have been entered, then the message 'processing "scriptname"' should appear, where scriptname is the name of the script being called. The script should then write to the screen "Hi [name]!", and should write this phrase [number] of times. For example, the command $ myscript 2 joe would produce the output: I have read the manual many times looking for examples, and I am very close by virtue of my own efforts. Further, I have searched these forums and others for good examples, which have also gotten me very close. Still my script is not completing the objective, and I am wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. Script:

I'm having some basic doubt! Consider 5 virtual domains has configured under a same server. I mean 5 different domains under same IP. Eg. mydomain1.com and mydomain2.com have IP 208.27.1.89. So when web browser request for mydomain1.com name server return IP address 208.27.1.89. Then browser contact IP 208.27.1.89 on port 80. Here comes my question how does apache know that the browser is looking for mydomain1.com not mydomain2.com. How apache differentiate the request for it's virtual hosts? By the way, what is a virtualhost ?

Does someone know of a tool that can be used to that will produce this result:When navigating to specific URL M-F 8 am to 5 pm any computer will receive an error message or be re-routed to a static site that something such as, "This site is only available during these hours."When navigating to that same URL during the other hours it will work as intended. The function needs to work with no intervention needed to the browsing computer or network.
