well I install the printer, everything works perfectly.....but, when I turn off the PC, and turn it on again, the printer does NOT work!, I send work for being printed but mothing happens , Ubuntu tells me that the job was printed but ... no case, my printer does not print it.
I have to install it again since cero. what can I don to stop install it every time I turn off the computer ?

I ran that a little while and for some reason it wasslow and would occasionally freeze for a few seconds at a time. I got sick of that andid a clean install of Slackware 13.1. The problem I am having now is the wireless won't come onI try to switch the power switch and it will not turn on. I can wiggle the mouse or touch the keyboard and it goes away. I play games with a controller and since I'm not touching the mouse or keyboard this happens every 10 minutes or so. I went into gnome and put screen saver to 2 hours and not to happen when idle but this didn't make it stop. I reinstalled again and it still happens.

So I installed xserver-xorg-input-synaptics, which has put syndaemon in /usr/bin. I understand that this app disables the touch-pad while typing, just what I want.
But syndaemon doesn't run at bootup, and when I try to run it manually I get:
<syndaemon> returns error "Can't access shared memory area. SHMConfig disabled?"

I was wondering if there's any way to turn off monitors independently, without having to physically press a button on the monitor, of course.
A program that tells the other monitor to display nothing but black would suffice, but I'd really prefer not to waste the power.
I also have Nvidia TwinView, so applications like grandr aren't aware of both monitors as being independent.
