I have been able to start 720p videos but with considerable AV drift. When i forward the video the drift temporarily disappears and video starts drifting again. The problem is that the video is always slower than the audio. Framedropping removes the A-V lag but makes the video unwatchable.

Now I've installed the native 64-bit flash and I have a no idea where it saves the movies - do you know ?
I'm currently having a problem with flash moves
whenever i try to do full screen the movies keeps playing but the picture just dosent refresh so i hit esc and it works fine in the window
so far ive tried different browsers and its the same problem full screen flash monies work when i disable desktop effects but i don't want to disable desktop effects every time i go to play a movie

All of a sudden I couldn't watch movies on Hulu anymore, so I have just upgraded Debian from the Etch to Lenny, because I wanted to update to the newest version of Adobe flash. In Iceweasel under add-ons, it says that I have the newest (10.0 r42) version. The old one (9.0 r124) is still listed. It is listed as disabled, white version 10 is listed as enabled. I still can't watch movies on Hulu.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not to sure this is the place I should post this, but couldn't find any place for it to fit. So here is the deal..I am running 10.10 with the standard LAMP setup. I am running a drupal 7 site no problems. What I need to do is run a multi site sub directory. (domain.com/newsite). So far the best I can do is get a directory index of the second site (domain.com/newsite), but cant run the installer. (I did the symbolic link to the doc root of the drupal install.)If I type in the url domain.com/newsite/install.php I get not found. I placed an index.html test page and it renders fine. I think I'm close but just not there yet.
Any ideas from anyone? I can get Sobdomains to work fine on a test mache, but sadly I need the domain/site to work due to lack of DNS support at the moment. I tried to get some info from the drupal forum, but everything always points to subdomin setups. I also posted over there, but it seems like the forums have very little support and are a bit on the slow side.

Using Ubuntu 9.04 on a Gateway laptop, I have it plugged in via VGA port on my laptop to my TV, and when I play a movie using Totem or VLC, I can see the movie on the laptop but there is just a black window on the TV in the movie player window. My Desktop appears fine and I can use my TV like a monitor in that respect, but I can't watch any movies.

The DVDs that won't play in linux works fine in windows and my tabletop dvd player.
I do have libdvdcss2, libdvdread4 and other modules to play both encrypted and non-encrypted DVDs.
Like I said, I can play many of my dvd movies in linux with only a few that don't. Has anyone experience this situation in linux with some of your own DVD movies?

One of two things always happens: it "loads" forever, or it crashes the browser. I don't understand. The kicker is that LOCALLY played mov files do seem to work (download some here [URL])! Which makes no sense.
I can't get flash controls to work. If the video auto-plays, it starts just fine, if not, I'm out of luck. I've tried reinstalling flash through the software center. Even if it autoplays, I can't control volume or pause or anything. I'm at the mercy of whatever is already there.

I have just switched from F10 to F12 via a fresh install. To be honest I am having difficulties getting around with the new release. For starters, watching movies causes one of my CPUs to go 100% when full screen. As you can guess watching movies doesn�t go smooth. It happens on every possible player. It doesn�t matter if I switch on or off compositing.

I've tried pretty much every DVD ripping program available, DVD::Rip, DVD95converter, DVD Movie Backup. My favorite backup program is k9copy (easiest to use and has all the features I need). But no matter what I try, certain Disney movies just won't backup. Specifically, at the moment, many of the Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli films.
After selecting the disc, the program either crashes out immediately, or it starts filling up the memory, slowing everything down, until finally it crashes. I thought updating to the newest version would maybe help (not even available through standard "Update Manager", had to find it myself), but the same problems occur. I'm currently trying with ddrescue, hoping that works. But I don't really like the idea of using a series of programs to get the output I want.
Is there a program that can backup, compress, and convert a Disney movie into a playable/burnable ISO file? Because these films are Japanese, I would definitely prefer something that can output normal switchable subtitles and audio (as opposed to an MPG or AVI that just has the one audio track).
