Fedora Servers :: Way To Specify Privoxy To Not Filter Specific Site

I am running a basic squid + privoxy combo for web caching/filtering proxy and it works fine. I'm basically running a stock config w/ a few minor edits to allow the relevant hosts access etc.now I am trying to find an easy way to specify privoxy to not filter a specific site (which it breaks). I have tried wading through the privoxy manual + google but I find the config file incredibly complicated. Are there any experts out there who can tell me: what is the easiest way to tell privoxy to 'pass through' a specific website?

I am working in Fedora FC11 with: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; nl; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091105 Fedora/3.5.5-1.fc11 Firefox/3.5.5
In the following site I cannot see the video stream:[URL]...Choosing "TW1 Livestream" should gives a video stream, but it gives a black screen. Clicking on that black windows gives a text: Waiting for video.
A German text shows that the actual Version from Windows Media Players should be installed.In the past I could see video there, but after an upgrade it does not work any more.Looking in aboutlugins I see following Windows Media Player plugins:

I have to ubuntu machine (9.10 and 10.4) with a openvpn tunnel between them.This is the situation:

UbuntuA br0:192.168.0.3 (openvpn bridge between eth0 and tap0)[code].....
UbuntuA has one only interface etho and there are two openvpn instance: one bridge istance with br0 and another instance with tun0.
UbuntuA is not the gateway for networkA. UbuntuB is the gateway for NetworkB.I need to comunicate between pc on networkB e those on networkA.This is the "ping situation" (no pc tested has an active firewall):
ubuntuA vs ubuntuB: OK
ubuntuB vs ubuntuA: OK
pc on NetworkA vs ubuntuA and ubuntuB: OK[code].....

I'm working on a new conky script, and I had the idea to use text from a [URL]... The command I'm using to pull the file is:

However, this gives me the entire line of code this line appears in.

Please what will it take me to write a perl full functioning program to filter emails for specific rules? Will that be possible? The actual thing am trying to get is to write a perl program and attach to a mail server so that, when the mails come in, the perl script get call and then the perl program will let another external program that is not on the server run and check or filter the mails.

I am running a website using a Fedora 9/ Apache 2 platform. I have added two new disks to the same server and installed Fedora 12 (I don't have both sets of disks in at the same time either the old ones with F9 or the new ones with F12). Having copied 'all' of the settings over to the new F12 installation it only serves pages on localhost not on the external IP as the F9 version does.
I have now installed F9 (got rid of F12) onto the new disks and copied the settings from the old installation onto the new disks and the server once again serves up pages. The only hardware changes are the disks being popped in and out between restarts as I swap between the old and new installations.
Hopefully there is some obvious (to someone) difference between F12 and F9 that would account for this.I have messed with settings for a while now and am almost at the point of paying for RHEL to see if that does the job.

On Fedora 12, I guess this is a security setting. How do I get Apache to pick up more than one website in my document root directory. It only picks up one and denies me permission to view the others on my document root directory. This problem doesn't exist in XAMMP. How do I go about it please.

In the office there is a local network with samba+openldap PDC. The local domain name is company.net. The company desided to create a corporate Website on a remote hosting and desided that the site's domain should be company.net which is same as local network's domain name. So now it is not possible to reach that corporate website from within the company's local network because, as I guess, bind9 which is installed on above menioned PDC looks for company.net on a local webserver. Is there a possibility to let people from this local network browse the remote site?

I'm running xubuntu 10.04 32bit on this particular machine, and have embedded flash video from blip.tv not showing in my browsers (Chromium daily, and Firefox). The site in question is [URL] These videos show on my other machines, including other Ubuntu 10.04 installs, however nothing loads on my machine. By inspecting the element is still see it in the source code:

Just doesn't display. I'm using the standard flashplugin-installer package, and have tried reinstalling it with no luck. I've also tried going directly to blip.tv and they do not display either. Embedded videos from other sites play fine, it's just blip.tv. They also do not display or load on the blip.tv site.

I just got an email from google saying my site contained malware. It has a line in it: "<script src='http://whitepix.info/3'></script>". I've noticed its recursively in all my .html and .txt files in my website. Can I make a linux script to run that will go through all my .html and txt files recursively and delete that line from them? I don't know how it got in all of them.

I am trying to figure this out and it seems I can't So, I have a server which hosts various domains, each domain with multiple subdomains. All websites are set up with "VirtualHost" and they all work properly.The problem I'm having is that if I enter any subdomain of the main domain, I can still reach the webpage.Is there some way of telling apache to DROP / display a forbidden message for all subdomains which are not listed in the VirtualHosts?

We're using condor at work to have cluster processing of java jobs. I know how to tell condor to require that a given job should be run on a particular slot. You can put on the Requirements string in the submit file a "Name" value(s) -->
Example:
Requirements = ".. Name == slot1@host*.domain.net || Name == slot2@host*.domain.net"
Which would tell condor to only run that job on slots 1 or 2. But what I need next is some way to have condor modify the arguments string depending on the slot it used. Our condor blades have 8 slots per machine but only two CUDA Tesla cards per host, so I want to dedicate slots 1 and 2 for using the Teslas and slots 3-8 for not using CUDA.
My java code has a java '-D' property so I can tell it to use CUDA or not, but then I
have to have a way to configure condor to append that to the job arguments if
the slot is 1 or 2 or not append it otherwise; So I want this arguments list passed for slot1 or 2
"Main.start -Djava.library.path=/usr/local/cuda/lib64 -Dcuda"
and this for slots 3-8:
"Main.start -Djava.library.path=/usr/local/cuda/lib64"
I don't want to just make the developers hack their submit files to put the
-Dcuda on the arguments line in combo with their adding the Name entry for
slot1 | slot2 because that seems error prone to me.
I want condor itself to add the JVM -Dcuda argument when it's slot 1 or 2 to reduce errors because these jobs take a long time and a mistake wastes lots of time.

I'm deploying new ubuntu server which should act as a router. I've already set up the NAT for local network, and also did some shaping for different groups of users, but now I'm facing new problem.I need to make a scheduled URL filter. I know it's not a problem with cron and simple script, but maybe there is existing way to do that? And also, I need to make statistics on web-traffic. I need to have list of URLs visited by users (source ip, destination url). Is it possible with iptables? or with any other software but without using proxy servers.

I have a system running at home that uses Getmail to retrieve mail from my ISP's pop server. Dovecot then offers that mail over IMAPs to my desktops running Thunderbird.
The reason I have resorted to using Getmail is because I don't have a static IP (from my ISP) for my server, and thus this server doesn't act as an MX.
I have implemented Spamassassin in my Getmail script as described here.
From further research, I understand that in order to fully utilize Spamassassin 's potential, I have to resort to training it with SA learn.
Currently I still receive spam messages, but 50% of spam is marked as ****SPAM****, and the other half is not marked at all.
My question is this:
1) How do I get getmail to move messages marked as spam by spamassasin to be moved to a JUNK folder within my mailbox automatically?
2) I thought of creating a folder where my users can move messages they deem to be spam, and set up a crontab script to invoke salearn regularly on this folder to get the bayes engine to learn from it. Is this the correct way of doing it?

I've been looking for a way to filter out emails on my postfix server by GeoIP data. I couldn't find anything that fitted the bill so wrote my own in Python as a postfix policy. Thought I'd post it here to see if it's of any use to anyone else. I've attached a tar of the files as the Python formatting will get mucked up by the forum code. I'm migrating a site from one VPS to another, and I'm having trouble understanding what I need to do with DNS. I haven't even gotten to the nitty-gritty of it: I don't understand it at a very high level. My host sent me this email explaining what I need to do, and I don't even know what questions to ask.

I thought DNS made a server into a nameserver, is that not right?

Im trying to just set up my web page so it can be seen on my local home Lan (then Ill try to get it on the internet). I can see the site it on my pc but other network users cant.
They can ping my computer but cant telnet to it on port 6060 (thats the one is set the server up on)
What's wrong with my configuration its mostly the default with a few changes that I hoped would make the site work.

Right now my server is being used as a Minecraft server. I have a site hosted on it, but my ISP blocks port 80, so I'm the only one who is able to view the site. I want to be able to change the port the site is on so that anyone can view it. I've looked it up and apparently that is possible; however, I haven't found out how to do it. I've changed the ports.conf file in /etc/apache2 and the default file in /etc/apache2/sites-available, but it didn't work. All that did was take my site off of 80, but it did not put it on the new port I specified. What exactly do I have to change so that when I go to mysite:port, it loads my website?
EDIT: Also, just for extra information, the two ports I tried were 8080 and 81.

In an effort to reduce/eliminate adware, I installed Provoxy from the F12 repos using yumex. The config file is unchanged except for the addition of the this line: forward-socks4a / 127.0.0.1:9050 .
I note that rpm placed the following (/etc/rc.d/init.d/privoxy), and that in that file are the following lines:
I seem to recall that network manager was changed somewhat to allow those using static ip addressing to NOT do dhcp on boot. Could this be the reason for the non-starting of the privoxy service on boot? Sometimes it starts on boot, and other times I must manually start it in Gnome's System->Services.
If these lines and the network starting is the problem, how do I fix it? Can I comment out these lines in this file, or is there somewheres else where I should be looking?

A while back, I put a site up under a LAMP setup, and followed a guide from ubuntuforums that I googled to set up SSL encryption for the site.
That site works great, but since then, I've added some other sites to the same LAMP server. They load fine as well, but if I type in https:// before going to the latter sites, the browser attempts to redirect to the first, and warns that it is a fraudulent certificate, and that I'm at risk by going to the site.
Obviously, it isn't an attack site, the certificate is just set up for only one domain. How do I prevent my non-SSL sites from redirecting to the SSL-encrypted site?

I am running ubuntu 10.04, and I have one website up and running 1 website.from my local server, from my local computer on the same network I can type in the ip address of my server and I do get the default webserver is running page, however when I try to connect to my domain, it cannot find it. I have run a ping, and it reached it just fine.
