View 1 Replies View Relatedafter installing Firebug add-on using Firefox automatic add-on installation, I try to run a JavaScript debugger. At first, the "Script" tab was grayed out, so I try enable it by click its pull down menu and select "enable"; however this action causes Firefox to crash. Did I install Firebug incorrectly that causing the crashes?

<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">

We're doing a web gui with extjs & flash chart. The problem is a drilldown menu from flash chart to some other page. The drilldown menu is working fine on all other os & browser, but not on 64bit centos 5.x & ff 3.0 or 3.5, which we need to support. It's always behind the flash chart. With the firefox coming with 64bit centos 5.x (which I believe it's a 64bit firefox), all of them are not working. But the weird thing is, with some newly installed centos 5.4, if I use a firefox 3+ downloaded from mozila/firefox official site (I guess it's a 32bit firefox).
The drilldown menu works fine. However with some other centos 5.4 which are upgraded from centos 5.2, the drilldown menu won't work. Please see the attached screenshots for the detailed info. I've tried many things, tried latest 32bit flash plugin, tried 64bit flash plugin, tried updating the nspluginwrapper (according to [URL]) and several other things. None of them works. From adobe tech note [URL].
"Note: The WMODE parameter is supported only on some browser/Flash Player version combinations. If the WMODE parameter is not supported, the Flash movie will always display on top. Refer to TechNote 14201 for details."
I understand that not all the os & browser & flash version combinations support WMODE, but it really bugs me that with almost the same os (64bit centos 5.4), the same firefox (32bit v3.5.5 downloaded from getfirefox.com), the same flash plugin (32bit v10.0.r32), why some of them can see the javascript menu on top of flash chart, but some of them will always be behind the flash chart?
I have this regular expression
Code:

I want to match anything in between the quotes its working fine in JavaScript but its not working in my python program:
Code:
#!/usr/bin/python

View 4 Replies View Relatedi've been using linux for a while and migrated from ubuntu to fedora, found out ubuntu too easy. I'm currently trying to configure my fedora 11 but i cant make java work on opera or firefox, they both keep saying i need to install it but everytime i download or the YUM package or the .rpm it says it is already installed!
View 7 Replies View RelatedI tested these problems on both Linux Mint 9 and Gentoo Linux. Periodically (err... randomly) when using opera 9.80 and doing things like watching videos or testing java applets, the keyboard will stop functioning. This requires a complete reboot of the PC to get back the keyboard functionality. I guess windows isn't the only one that requires frequent reboots. :-/ 95% of the time it just doesn't work and the other 5% of the time it only.. sorta works. The buttons never work. Thats a different problem though as I have Minitube that kinda fixes the ..... problem. That is all I use flash for anyways.
I know the java applet I am testing works perfectly using appletviewer and in every windows browser I tested (IE, Opera, and Firefox) but when using Opera on Linux there is no keyboard input. The java applet crashes firefox so that is out of the question. I would open the Java console to see if there was any errors but that crashes the browser. I didn't have any problems with Java before Oracle owned it. Could be just a coincidence?
I have tried every conceivable install combo i have found on this and other forums, so far my lady still can't play her favorite on-line puzzle game JAVASCRIPT WILL NOT WORK!

When I did this using the given script it asked me to install it in the base directory /usr/ . I had my doubts but I agreed. (Does it have to be installed in the root directory? / )Now when I trie to run it, I receive the following message:

I recently installed Deluge 1.2.0 from the following PPA:[URL]I using this on two different Linux computers. One is running Linux Mint 8 and the other is running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10. The first time on either computer when I enable WebUI in the Deluge GUI it works fine. However if I ever disable it in plugins section I am subsequently unable to re-enable it (doesn't appear in the side panel again). Rebooting or reinstalling Deluge seems to have no effect.Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I got a new laptop Toshiba L526. Now I want to make it's Function keys work. I have read many threads, and found it is better using acpi.
But when I try
modprobe toshiba_acpi
it got a error :
FATAL:Error inserting toshiba_acpi(/lib/modules/2.6.29.6-smp/kernel/drivers/platform/x86/toshiba_acpi.ko): No such device.
My slackware version has upgrade to current exclude the kernel packages and alsa. The kernel I use is 2.6.29.6-smp. When I run acpi_listen,no output.
Since last Saturday (11-20) my touchpad enable/disable key stopped working.I don't make much use of the touchpad and it usually stays disabled most of the time so I can't be sure it is really on Saturday that I lost this functionality or maybe the day before (I'm positive it's not longer than that).Before that it worked flawlessly, now it's like a dead key (which is not broken by the way, tested on a live CD).In these past week I have been looking for quite some time for other users who might have experienced this problem after the update of two specific packages (console-data and keyboard-configuration) I had on the 20th and which made me think might have broken the key binding.Not finding anything at all and after having tried for said packages both newer versions from sid and previous known-to-have-worked-before versions from the install CD, I started thinking the problem was not there (I consequently restored the testing ones).
The days before this happened I tinkered a little bit with gpointing-device-settings and tpconfig (this last one was a simple tpconfig -i), but at this point I start thinking there might have been something else I've done, somewhere else I can't recall probably.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the touchpad still works flawlessly, I can enable/disable it through gconf (actually I made two handy shortcut to the "/desktop/gnome/peripherals/touchpad/touchpad_enabled" value), so it is not an issue of making it work, just the toggle key which on my laptop is a dedicated one (no Fn modifier) and anyway all the other special keys still work fine.I checked gnome-keybinding-properties and there is no action for the touchpad there, but I don't know for sure if there was one before (and I haven't been able to add one). Anyway in gconf I noticed a key in "/apps/gnome_settings_daemon/keybindings/touchpad" has the value "XF86TouchpadToggle", not sure if that means the keybinding exists or what.
What more can I add? What I'm here to ask now is some guidance on figuring out what I might have done wrong considering what I was able to tell you, but mostly, considering what I wasn't able to tell you and am not even aware to have done.
