Fedora :: Is There Any Player To Play SWF File Enable Forward And Rewind?
Dec 10, 2010I've tried the Browser,Unfortunately,both the Firefox and Chrome do not support the function forward and rewind.
View 7 RepliesI've tried the Browser,Unfortunately,both the Firefox and Chrome do not support the function forward and rewind.
View 7 RepliesJust did a fresh install of Karmic, got all necessary decoders installed for video and audio playback...I think.
Problem is I can't forward/search in audio files I am playing. I mean I can only Play, Pause, Stop or "Next-track" a music file. Video files are fine.
I've tried Exaile, Rythmbox and even Totem. It is like the audio files are "half read-only".
If I drag a horizontal scroller in the music player and let it go, it will only jump back to the position where it is actually playing.
Has anyone experienced, this? I am a missing something in gstreamer or something like it?
I am looking for any alternative to X3 player to play .avi file that specifically play in X3 Player only (Not Working in VLC or ubuntu Media player)

Totem Movie Player 2.22.2

I am looking to buy a mp3 player that would be 100% compatible with linux. I recently returned my ipod touch because without going into details, it was a nightmare to get running in linux, it actually wouldn't run. Now that I am free again, I would like recommendations for a mp3 player with roughly the following features:
-100% compatible with linux
-compatible with windows (in case I want to transfer stuff from my gf's laptop)
-can play pretty much all the most popular file formats from linux
-application to convert files so the player can read them (I am thinking about itunes here);
-has FM radio;
-has a decent GUI (no monochrome text only interface like the ipod shuffle (?);
I would think 4GB is enough for me. I am not the kind of person to pack my player with 600GB of stuff and empty it once a year. I will probably add/remove stuff everyday. I also wouldn't mind if it can play podcasts. I also don't mind buying from less known companies. I just need to make sure if it craps out, I can return it or get it repaired within canada.
i find no solution to play .rm file which open in real player.
real player does not support linux.
how can i play .rm file in linux or altrnatively how can i install ral player in ubuntu 11.04
I have seemed to work out all bugs in pulseaudio except 1. When pulseaudio wakes up it stutters for a few seconds and then plays fine. I ran pulseaudio -vvv in the terminal and found that it was an underrun and got this message.
Code:
protocol-native.c: Requesting rewind due to end of underrun.
I have installed real player 64 bit version from here . The player was installed properly but its not playng .rm files. Real player window appears but does not play file.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have one server with 4 network interfaces:
eth0: 192.168.0.0/24 - local lan A
eth1: 200.1.2.3 - internet link - default route
eth2: 192.168.10.0/24 - local lan B eth3: 192.168.20.0/24 - local lan C
Lan A - Default routing to eth0
Lan B - Default routing to eth2
Lan c - Default routing to another server but the workstations has static routing to this server too.
Everything is working fine on Opensuse 11.1 until I upgrade this sever to Opensuse 11.2 ( Reinstall, not update at all ). After upgrade to 11.2 the routing across local lan interfaces simply not work, if you try to ping lan-to-lan you got the message: Network unreachable, even with the IP Forward enable, but the default route is working fine trough the SNAT.
I've come back to Opensuse 11.1 and everything become normal, does anyone have an problem like this? Maybe a bug? PS: I do not try to disable the AppArmor, next weekend I will try Opensuse 11.2 without the AppArmor and post here anyway.

I installed Fedora 10 on a Toshiba Laptop, where I had been successfully running Ubuntu for over a year. The newest iteration of Ubuntu was giving me problems, and the press was saying that Fedora 10 was pretty good, so I tried it.
Fedora 10 froze after any application was loaded. I couldnt correct it. I installed Fedora 9, and am no longer having that problem. However, I cant run any multimedia items on the computer. Particularly videos, including wmv, mpeg, or rm formats. This was not a problem in Ubuntu. I can't find any player or codec that will allow me to play these videos on Fedora 9. Can anyone suggest a solution for this?
i just finish doing a fresh install of F14 and i have problem with video playback. I have added rpmfusion free and non free as describe in [URL] also Nautilus do not show thumbnail from video files.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirefox 3.6.16 I recently installed Fedora 14. I get this message when I browse to some web pages: Code: Cannot play media.You do not have the correct version of the flash player. I have installed the flash-plugin. And has been installed to the following directory;

When system is playing a media ( e.g. sth.mp3 ) by a media player like Totem, then I open a browser and forward to a page that should play sounds, but everything is pretty normal except the sounds ( I mean there's no sound ).
When firstly open a browser to surf the pages. If there's sound played in the browser, I can't play a audio media in a standalone player ( e.g. Totem ) before I close the browser. But If there isn't any sound played in browser, the outside player will work normally.
The 2 situations happens between no matter Chrome or Firefox and a outside player. I guess there maybe a conflict between gstreamer and adobe flash player. But I am not sure what happened in my system.
Every music or video player I use there is the same problem, I can't fast forvard the song. the seeker is grey and I can't move it so I can't move the slider to, for example, to middle of the song.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm trying out 10.04 LTS 64-bit from the live CD and when I try to play a MP3 or WAV file it gets the usual Search for suitable plugin? "The required software to play this file is not installed. You need to install suitable plugins to play media files. Do you want to search for a plugin that supports the selected file? The search will also include software which is not officially supported." Error message so I click Search and it comes up with the error No packages with the requested plugins found.
Is this because it is in Live Mode and installing 10.04 to my hard drive will fix it or does Ubuntu no longer support audio files other then ogg and other open source audio / video file formats due to copyright problems?
I have recently had problems a with Movie player. It seems to having trouble playing DVD's and video files. it has a tendency to stop/freeze and sometimes if I try move the progress bar or scroll back or forward it wil just instantly close the Movie Player. I'm wondering is there a way to check it for bugs or is there a more reliable/better quality player that I could get instead.
