I have Empathy running on Fedora 11 ( Dell Precision M6300 laptop). I downloaded some themes from [URL] after following some of the on-line instructions I still don't see the themes from within Empathy. I suspect I have the files in the wrong directory. What is the right directory to put the /*.AdiumMessageStyle folders?

Plus I'm pretty sure theres more people out there like me. So this would be very nice if some one tells us "how to". I like pidgin better, but empathy it's the default in ubuntu, and It comes with better integration with Gnome.

Supposedly, the two themes are part of the same package, "Adium", and the themes look more like the Mac (or KDE) than anything else. The difference between the themes? One is dark, and one is light (The dark version is shown). This is roughly the same philosophy as Ubuntu Sun: Install light and dark themes as "leitmotiv for a lucid release". How do you think of this new theme in Ubuntu?

Hello, when I log into Aim using pidgin I get this error
"Received unexpected response from http://api.oscar.aol.com/aim/startOSCARSession"
I tried using a MSN account to test it out and it works. So AIM does not work. The port is on 5190 so I dont understand what is wrong.
CC is now complete (didn't have access to the internet for 3 days so I couldn't upload it) but its working fine. Tested it out with an ISO and it works perfect. Rename to .deb and install it. Even though it says 11.04 - it works on any system with a problematic version of compiz. It is also harmless on a system without compiz although it does depend on it. cc-11.04.deb.zip

View 3 Replies View Relatedi am trying to video chat with my logitech C200 webcam but it does not work with skype or empathy. Do i need to download special drivers?. In skype i can't even test the camera. and with empathy the webcam icon and the video call option are grayed out. I downloaded "guvcview" from the software center and it works like a charm, i can capture video and take pictures, so i don't really understand why skype and emphaty dont work.

Normaly It is supposed to show themes in /usr/share/themes right? but now it shows themes only in ~/.themes folder. I don't know what affected the change. how do I configure it as to show themes in /usr/share/themes/,?
Also whatever theme I use , Controls would stay same(Classic controls). They wouldn't be update to those of the Theme used.

I am using tab completion so i know that the file is in the right directory but its not working. the colors dont change. but the build in themes work fine. I cant provide better info because i dont know what to look for right now. there's no errors anywhere.
I recently added new themes for KDE from get new themes login manager. When I click on install new themes I have no clue where they are located? Not really new to fedora but far from being an expert and could use some help in many areas of the system. Most thing I have been able to figure out but some things just make no sense to me. Now I want to transfer this theme to my netbook. Am I supposed to find a single* file containing the theme's settings? Where would be said file?

They work totally fine for the most part, except the tray icons, they like to change them to their own monochrome icons which usually look bad (and most of the time not even all of them are changed). Is there a way to make any icon theme use the default gnome shell symbolic icons? Right now I am using elementary and its mostly fine, but it changed the battery icon to an ugly smaller version. I'd love to be able to change it to the default icon.
