Fedora :: Downloaded The Komodo Edit 5 Program For Wysiwyg Web Edits
Dec 28, 2009I downloaded the Komodo Edit 5 program for wysiwyg web edits, unpacked the tar ball and installed. However, I cannot find it using the Menu Updating tool.

Fedora :: Can't Install Rpmfusion Free And Non-free
Jan 28, 2011I have installed F14 yesterday but i can not install rpmfusion repository, the problem is that i can not access the url [URL] so i cant download the files:

Debian Configuration :: WYSIWYG Editor For Elog Not Working In Jessie
Oct 21, 2015I installed elog 2.9.2+2014.05.11git44800a72 on my Jessie system. When entering a new post just a simple plain text editing box is shown instead of the WYSIWYG editor, and no drag and drop area for attachments is shown. When I start the elog service with "systemctl start elog" I get this suspect message in the journal: "FCKedit NOT detected".
Indeed, I see that the elog installation creates a symlink which I guess is supposed to point to the fckeditor installation, which nevertheless is missing:

I installed ckeditor 4.4.4+dfsg1-3 but his did not fix the problem. I'd say that either the elog package is broken or that it misses a dependency on a package providing FCKedit. Or maybe my system is misconfigured?
Ubuntu :: Build Index.html Into A Full Html Page
Mar 9, 2010I used wget -r to get all the web pages that were linked from index.html. The pages listed in index.html are all chapters. After using wget -r, all the chapters are now in the same folder on my local hard drive. Is there a way to build the chapters in their proper order into a "long"/"full" web page, rather than simply having each chapter as a link/next link on a previous page?

Of course , i've done the research and i also know that there are server side includes (php , asp ...you name it) at the moment , i'm using this:

1) the fact that the included file is static html and because the text is included pretty much everywhere
2) hoping to reduce load time as the code (if successfully recognized) would hopefully be treated like any other embedded external file (e.x like an image) , therefore it would be cached without the need to downloaded it over and over again for each new page on the site.

Mar 12, 2011I want to use linux instead of windows to create my videos, but all the video editors are so unstable that they are not possible to use at all.At first I Thought it was my hardware or something but I tried on my laptop as well. They all crash randomly every time I try to do stuff.I have tried OpenShot, VLMC, Pitivi, OpenMovieEditor, Avidemux, Kino, LiVES, Cinelerra and Kdenlive.How come I never have problems like this in windows?I know Linux sometimes sucks when it comes to brand new hardware, but seriously though. All the video editors are crashy.

Ubuntu :: Text Editors Start Up Is Slow
May 3, 2010Whenever I start a text editor, such as kate, kwrite, gedit, it takes at least 10 seconds to start up.This on a PC with 4 cores and 3GB RAM.I know that these text editors should start up much faster, like, I click the launch icon and it should already by there.But instead it's 10 seconds waiting and then the editor is there. Why, what's it doing during those 10 seconds, and most important, how can I fix this?

May 6, 2011I installed Ubuntu Gnome fresh yesterday. I quickly decided Unity wasn't to my taste, especially when I seemed to hose it by trying to customize my compiz settings with ccsm (don't mess with compiz if you use Unity in any way). Anywho, I retreated to standard Gnome and also installed KDE. Mostly OK, but I noticed neither of the menu editors are working properly. When I install an application from the repositories it creates a proper menu entry, but when I install a Wine application nothing appears in the menu. Attempting to edit, add, or delete menu entries with the Gnome menu editor doesn't work. Hitting the New or Properties buttons produces no effect. Using the KDE menu editor from the Classic (non-slab) menu is likewise unsatisfactory. I can add or modify entries and apparently save them but nothing appears in the menu and when I re-open the menu editor my entries are not there. I can manually create application shortcuts on the desktop or on the Gnome panel, but I can't add those to the KDE Quick Launch bar in the panel (I think that's what its called, I'm in Gnome now).

May 18, 2011I've got a question on free disk space. I'm currently running CentOS 5.5 on in Xenserver virtual environment. We've had an issue with disk space. My question is as follows: - from a ssh connection i run df -h this gives the value of 90% used leaving me with 9GB. If I use system monitor via a VNC connection the free disk space value is 20GB free on the same volume. Which one is correct? I do use SNMP to monitor the same volume and should alert me when < 10% is free I know this works as I set the alert threshold to < 90% I get an alert.

Everybody spend their precious time to help others, that's very helpful.But it seems like there is no support from UBUNTU team,how could we even get through the barrier of not using Microsoft's OSes? Fedora Servers :: Cannot Write Into Html Folder
May 9, 2009I'm setting up my fedora 10 server. I am currently working on samba. I have added users and created their home directories with their own html directories. I have changed their html directories to 777. However, it appears to be read-only since I cannot create files or folders within it. Can anyone please give me some ideas as to what may be causing this? Probably some extra configurations I may have overlooked? Any help would be kindly appreciated. I also created a general wshare (writable share) directory for all users within home directory but I am encountering the same problem and cannot write to it.

Dec 3, 2009I'm playing a game using wine that uses an internet browser style menu. One of the options that the game offers is to open the current game page with your external browser. I've used it hundreds of times when I was on windows and it worked fine and I was able to save the current page to a folder. Now that I'm using fedora the link doesnt work. It doesnt open firefox and it doesnt give me any message to let me know that it even recieved the request.

I have installed gedit-devel but it did not help unfortunately.

I have several cron jobs that output HMTL, however cron's output email displays the html tags as-is as text, instead of html. example: <br> Anyone got lucky being able to send cron output emails in html format (either by configuring fedora or through command line)? I have tried the following command lines in fedora crontab manager with no luck

(cron executes, but sends email as a text email, not html email)

Apr 6, 2011I have displayed web pages (e.g., index.html) under fedora 4, 5, 7, 8 before with no difficulty. Now I troed to do similar thing under Fedora 12, and I cannot display index.html. Is Fedora 12 special? I did '#tail -f /var/log/httpd/error-log' and noticed a line:
"SELinux policy enabled; httpd running as context system_u:system_r:httpd_t:s0"
Is the SELinux policy blocking me from displaying index.html page?
