While it would suggest some sort of hardware problem, this system is working fine with Ubuntu 14.04 & 16.04.

Debian Hardware :: Brother HL-1030 Installation On Lenny?

Although the printer is ok (because it works in other OS like windows) when i try to print a document, the printer gets alive, shows that is receiving data with "data" led and i even see a progress bar showing how the data is being sent but, in the end, data led turns off and the printer does not even load the paper. This are the commands i've used for installing the driver:

Fedora :: MYSQL Error 2002 (HY000): Can't Connect To Local MySQL Server Through Socket?

Feb 22, 2011

I've been attempting to set up a LAMP for local web development, which meant installing mysql-server. But now have a problem when trying to run mysql, I get:-

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

When trying to downgrade mysql-server I saw that there are dependency problems between the various modules (but can't recall which). But whichever route I truied the results are always the same.

Thought about trying XAMPP but I note that even has it's problems, is there any way I can get a lamp set up on FC14, or must I give it up as a bad job.

Howver, just been trying to again to fix the problems with downgrading mysql and get:-

Error: Package: mysql-server-5.1.55-1.fc14.i686 (@updates)
Requires: mysql(x86-32) = 5.1.55-1.fc14

Software :: Modprobe Usb-storage - FATAL - Error Inserting

Jun 5, 2010

I took some pictures tonight and plugged in my flash card reader (via usb) as always. Only this time, the device isn't assigned a proper location (like "sdc3").

A little research later and I *think* I need the module "usb-storage", which I can't get to load. It's been a *long* time since I had to mess with modules and I'd like some fresh eyes on what the problem might be.

This is my lsmod output:

I also ran modprobe with -n -v:

I have run depmod -a and tried the modprobe again...

If I drill down to the /lib/modules/<kernel -r>/drivers/usb/storage/ where the .ko file is and say:

So.... since I haven't changed anything that I can think of since the last time I took pictures...what happened? How do I fix this?
