Debian :: KEYEXPIRED Error For Apt-get?
Jan 20, 2011
I have a small ARM box with Debian on it, which I had practically forgot about for a long time. When I got around to actually re-configured it, and run 'apt-get update', here is what I got:[URL]I have tried just about everything I know of. I have installed all of the debian*-keyring, and 'apt-key list' returns:
/etc/apt/trusted.gpg

I installed kubuntu a while back on an AMD64 3200 and hit some problems I can't solve: ran out of space on /boot & opera KEYEXPIRED.This is a multiboot machine. I have the /boot partition on an extended ext4 /dev/sda5 which is 50 MB size which was fine when I first set it up. It seems however that it is no longer sufficient for GRUB2:
Code:
$ sudo apt-get upgrade

I have mounted an NFS share with ISO images on my kvm Server. If i connect such a iso to a VM (using virt-manager) for installing a operating system i get the following error on startup: Error starting domain: internal error Process exited while reading console log output: char device redirected to /dev/pts/1 qemu: could not open disk image /mnt/iso/public/Linux/Distributions/Debian/debian-504-amd64-netinst.iso: Permission denied
The problem is definitly that kvm (or qemu or libvirt-bin, i don't know) tries to set permissions (rwx owner for libvirt-qemu, --- for kvm group, --- for other) on the file, although it has read permissions. Is it possible to change this behavior?

I have used Debian Linux for two years, most recently the seventh or so iteration of Version 5. I use the Gnome desktop and the Synaptic Package Manager, not the Update Manager, for updates because it's easier to build a log with the former. In my most recent update, Synaptic stripped out all the xserver-xorg files47 in all. I thought it peculiar but did not know enough to interfere. When I rebooted, the system told me I must install xserver or correct GDM configuration and restart.
Have I been hacked? Am I being tested by the Linux Illuminati? Or does it have something to do with the warning message I received at the end of the update-upgrade, attached? And how do I go about reinstalling xserver? With Aptitude? I have tried running apt-get -f install, to no effect.

I'm somewhat familiar with Ubuntu (familiar but not sharp!) but have never tried Debian OS until now. I've installed Debian 5 64bit as a guest on a Mac host. I'm impressed how smooth the install went; even installing VB Guest Additions went smoothly. But, I get a "Your system had a kernel failure" error after booting. I have searched the forum & didn't find this error. Everything seems to work okay but is there an update that isn't showing in the Update Manager? Could this have something to do with VirtualBox 3.1.4?

I recently tossed Ubuntu for Debian Unstable for my personal machines and I'm having trouble building Emerald into a package. I've already configured and installed the package (using the usual ./configure, make, make install) but I wanted to make a deb for future use (for myself and for others). However every time I try to run dpkg-build I get the following error message.
dh_install -pemerald --sourcedir=debian/tmp
dh_install: emerald missing files (usr/bin/*), aborting
make: *** [binary-install/emerald] Error 2
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary gave error exit status 2

dpkg-buildpackage: failure: tail of debian/changelog gave error exit status 1
I have searched hi and low and still can't work out how to resolve this.

After upgrading to Squeeze, which comes with kernel 2.6.32, my system encountered DRM error and booted up with a blank screen. This happened intermittently. Searches on the Web did not give a definite answer. It seemed there was a bug in the kernel and this was cleared since 2.6.31 but I am using 2.6.32.

I don't know if I can post this question in this forum but let's see. I'm trying to install an application (apollon if needed) and while I was running the file to create (compile) the installer, I got an error that qmake wasn't found, so I installed it from the debian packages. Now when running the installer, I get this error message:Error: An error occured running qmake. Check the log for more information.
This is the log's details: Compiling arkollon QMAKESPEC has not been set, so configuration cannot be deduced. Error processing project file: /tmp/selfgz3433/arkollon-0.4/arkollon.pro
So my the answer to this problem is setting QMAKESPEC environmental variable, I guess. But where should it redirect?

I tried searching for "undefined reference to symbol 'XF86VidModeGetViewPort'", and it seems to be related to glut. I installed freeglut3 and freeglut3-dev from synaptic.
