Ubuntu Servers :: PHP Error "Unable To Load Dynamic Library" After Upgrading Server From 10.04 To 10.10
Oct 22, 2010
After upgrading my server from 10.04 to 10.10 I keep getting the following php error, "PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php5/20090626+lfs/syck.so' - /usr/lib/php5/20090626+lfs/syck.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0"
I keep getting mails with this warning on my 11.04 server
Code: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php5/20090626/mysql.so' - /usr/lib/php5/20090626/mysql.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
apparently everything is working as it should and I don't know how to get rid of this warning
I have installed oci8 from the remi repo and can not get it to work.I have been trying all day but still end up with the same error in my apache error log when I start httpd. If anyone can suggest something more I can try or where I should look next that would be nice.In the mean time I am going to build a VM and try from a fresh install and see what happens.
I recently upgraded to php 5.2 using the testing repository. All went well except for one extension.
root@clibweb2 ~]# php -v PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules//usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so' - /usr/lib64/php/modules//usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 PHP 5.2.10 (cli) (built: Nov 13 2009 11:44:05) Copyright (c) 1997-2009 The PHP Group Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2009 Zend Technologies [root@clibweb2 ~]#
I tried: [root@clibweb2 ~]# ln -s /usr/lib64/php /usr/lib/php Adding the complete path to php.ini And using PECL I still get the error. Output of getinfo.sh (general) is at [URL] The Package specific is at [URL]
On a number of sites I use PHP's snmpget() function, but now on all these I just get this error: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/etc/php.d/snmp.so' - libnetsnmp.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function snmpget()
fedora 12 with php 5.3.1 + apache is installed on the server
I needed a FFMPEG + MENCODER + FFMPEG-PHP setup , so I have installed all of the necessary libraries/codecs along with ffmpeg , mencoder and ffmpeg-php
I've added ffmpeg-php (ffmpeg.so) module to php.ini and restarted httpd
But ffmpeg was not showing up in phpinfo() so I grepped : php -i | grep ffmpeg for some clues and got this warning PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/modules/ffmpeg.so' - /usr/lib/php/modules/ffmpeg.so: undefined symbol: php_gd_gdImageSetPixel in Unknown on line 0
That error explains why ffmpeg is not loading
Obviously something to do with GD library , so I've researched on the net , and found that some users suggest loading the GD module before FFMPEG module.
I gave it a try and added this at the end of php.ini: Code: [gd] ;loading gd extension=gd.so [ffmpeg] ;loading ffmpeg extension=ffmpeg.so ...but still same error when greping phpinfo()
few days ago i installed the newest opensuse 11.4 32bit system and all is working really fine.except when starting apache or doing a php -v on the CLI i receive the following error ->
php -v PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php5/extensions/intl.so' - /usr/lib/php5/extensions/intl.so: undefined symbol: grapheme_extract_count_iter in Unknown on line 0
i know this bug has been reported earlier and i found quite a few results in google.i even found one result where the problem was fixed and updated in an additional opensuse repository -> Additional package repositories - openSUSE the repository with the fix is the following -> Index of /repositories/server:/php/openSUSE_11.4 so ... i added this repository via YAST to the repositories in my system without any problems but whenever i do a system update via YAST i don't receive new fixes and patches from the newly added repository!
if i directly browse to the /i586 folder in the repository i see all the PHP updates with version 5.3.7 and the latest updates were done 19 aug 2011 Index of /repositories/server:/php/openSUSE_11.4/i586 but my system still has PHP version 5.3.5 installed and somehow doesn't want to update from the newly added repository for the apache php modules so ... i just double checked and the repository is enabled in YAST ... but I still don't receive updates from there i would like to update to the new apache php modules, to get rid of that php '/usr/lib/php5/extensions/intl.so' warning, but somehow that doesn't seem to work
How can we convert a dynamic library (filename.so) to a static library (filename.a) using gnu gcc . Can we get a static library form a dynamic library . I saw a few post in which the conversion form a static library to a dynamic library is mentioned but, unfortunately, not the other way.
I use web server apache use php fastcgi (Centos 5.2, apache 2.2.9 , php 5.2.5 and fcgi-2.2.4 ). I receive error : "The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. contact the server administrator, no-reply@zz.vn and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. I have 4 servers that I got at auction and they now have ubuntu running with gnome interface.I installed apache2 and tried to edit the conf file but i am not sure if it is a router issue a dns or the config.I am trying to figure out how to set the server to hold the domain from a dynamic ip address and also how to create some test page to see if i can acess from the internet.
I have purchased some books on the command lines and how ubuntu works, I am understanding it so far, but dont know how to have a directory for the dns request to point to for the sitewhat i want to do with the servers...voipeb server for about 4 websites - one is for a volunteer rescue organization, another for a test auction site and 2 portfolio sitesremote file access- if possiblealso on a side note, is it possible to have a message relay from one cell phone or transmit to the server and have it send sms message to cell phones? - this will be used for the rescue group as well.
i want to set up an email server both to receive and send emails. I also am on a dynamic ip scheme with my ISP. I do have a dynamic dns account with no-ip.org the Questions are:
-will somebody be able to send emails to me at the <user>@<dyndns_name>.no-ip.org email address?
-will I be able to send emails from the <user>@<dyndns_name>.no-ip.org email address?
I know i'll be able to login to accounts like gmail and yahoo and download emails from there.. but even that i don't know - even macroscopically how its done:
-is it the sendmail deamon that accepts the mail from <me>@gmail.com, <me>@yahoo.com, <me>@<dyndns_name>.no-ip.org?
-is it the sendmail deamon that does the sending of email (as well)?
-can it push emails that I want to send as <me>@gmail.com to the gmail smtp servers (and they in turn will push my email even further)?
-can it push emails from <me>@<dyndns_name>.no-ip.org to receipients? and finally,
-WILL receiving pop/imap servers allow incoming email from my server? or due to the dynamic ip they'll assume I'm a spam server?
I am trying to use a shared bzip2 library in a program I'm writing. For the life of me I can't figure out the correct gcc switch to link it in. I've tried pkg-config, but i don't know the name of the .pc file. Is there any rule for these things?
Why the thread stack size can not be changed after calling pthread_attr_setstacksize & pthread_create in a dynamic library? Detail: I write a file thread_factory.c and plan to build it and produce a dynamic library (libthread_factory.so) In the thread_factory.c , there is a routine
[Code]....
And after this, there is application, it will call fct_thread_create(STACK_SIZE_256KB), and then call pthread_attr_getstacksize(), but the stack size return always be a fixed value 0xa01000. (I tried this on Fedora12) But if I build the application source code with the file thread_factory.c directly, the stack size return is right as my expect. I checked the source code of glibc about the routine pthread_create() as below:
I need immediate assistance on the upgrade process off ubuntu server from version 9.04 to 9.10. Here is my output after running do-release-upgrade. I first ran the release upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04, which ran really smoothely without errors and at the end prompted a reboot. I have rebooted and decided to upgrade further - 9.04 to 9.10. And here is the result. I saw this long into the upgrade process, somewhere 1.5 hours into the upgrade: [URL]
I'm folding and I need it to only run on 6 cores instead of 8, and I have it set to do that but Ubuntu decides to bounce the load around the 2 extra cores as well, hurting my performance. Is there a way to disable it or set it to work only on 6 specific cores?
I've just upgraded my server installation from 9.04 to 9.10. I'm running this as a Xen virtual machine. All seemed to go well until I restarted, at which point I got stuck at this point:
Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ... Done. mountall:/proc: unable to mount: Device or resource busy mountall:/proc/self/mountinfo: No such file or directory
[code]...
My service provider is running xen-shell 1.0.79 running on Xen version 3.0.3-1, and after the seemingly-successful do-release-upgrade, uname -r reports ubuntu kernal 2.6.18-5-xen-amd64. Unfortunately, this isn't mentioned as a possible problem here [URL]
I was running Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS and using flashpolicytwistd from Google Code to support flash-based telnet on two websites. After upgrading to 10.04 flashpolicytwistd no longer starts.
If I do the following to manually start flashpolicytwistd:
Code:
I get this response:
Code:
If I then immediately do the following:
Code:
I get this response:
Code:
I also cannot locate the process with ps -e, nor can I confirm that it is listening on its assigned port (default is 843, I changed it to 4005).
No errors show up in the logs. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no change.
This problem has been confirmed on the Google Code issues page for this program on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS: [url]
I am running an Ubuntu Server on a VirtualBox VM running on my windows machine. So I've created a self-signed certificate using the following tutorial: [URL]
From this tutorial I'm left with 3 files: server.key server.csr server.crt
Then I found this very similar tutorial that has an extra bit on installing the certificates in apache: [URL] So I followed it's instructions which boil down to this:
[Code]...
So I'm thinking this should work now. However in Chrome I get: SSL connection error Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have. Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error. IE8 gives me a typical "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" Note that [URL] fails while [URL] works fine, so it's definitely something in my ssl setup I'm thinking.
I have an existing blog that I migrated to ubuntu server recently. The site was running fine until I transfered it over to ubuntu. I get a 404 error whenever I view pages that is not my index. I believe it has to do with my .htaccess file.
I have enclosed the .htaccess and my default file taken from sites-enabled.
.htaccess Code: ##################### #PREVENT viewing of .htaccess file <Files .htaccess> order allow,deny
Ran 'do-release-upgrade -d'on my server running Hardy. No problems during the upgrade.Rebooted after the upgrade completed, and I was presented with the new plymouth screen. This sucks for servers. It sat there displaying the logo for ~5 minutes.Hit CTRL+ALT+F1 through F8 and didn't see anything on the virtual consoles. Finally figured out that I had to hit ESC on the plymouth screen to actually see what was going on.It said /dev/sdi1 had problems along with /dev/md0.It sat there forever with no fsck status and no HDD lights blinking.
SysRq+REISUB and tweaked the boot parameter to remove 'quiet splash' and appended 'S' for single-user mode.Got the attached screenshot. The box has been sitting like this for ~15 minutes. Not entirely sure what to report a bug against at the moment. Plus the somewhat-new requirement of running 'ubuntu-bug' is pretty retarded in this situation. (Yeah, I know I can add some string to the URL to get around it.Why is it such a pain in the *** to report a bug?)I'm going to do some more digging to try and find out what is dying during boot. The new boot process is a bit of a mystery to me still, so if anyone has pointers or any devs want more detailed information,
for the last few releases, starting with 9.04 i've been having serious crashing problems with the nvidia driver. whether i installed it manually using the latest drivers directly from nvidia, or installing them through the restricted driver option. after a few hours CRASH. it's been awful. and i tried everything from this side to the moon to fix this issue, all to no avail. no idea why i've even stayed with ubuntu after all these issues. came from the debian world back in 5.04, and almost moved back a few times. but i did a clean install of 10.04, and thought i'd give the nvidia driver one last chance... if it didn't work i'd be moving back home to debian (with the suspicion the issue would stay).
so after i tried the restricted driver and CRASH. nothing to fix it. then i thought ok i'll try to use the latest driver from nvidia. but ran into this error when installing it:
Quote: ERROR: Unable to load the kernel module nvidia.ko. This happens most frequently when this kernel module was built against the wrong or improperly configured kernel sources, with a version of gcc that differs from the one used to build the target kernel, or if a driver such as rivafb/nvidiafb is present and prevents the NVIDIA kernel module from obtaining ownership of the NVIDIA graphics device(s), or NVIDIA GPU installed in this system is not supported by this NVIDIA Linux graphics driver release. so after googling around i found a fix to this error i was getting during the install:
Quote: sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
blacklist vga16fb blacklist nouveau blacklist rivafb blacklist nvidiafb blacklist rivatv
I've installed Fontmatrix. It deactivates fonts correctly, but when I try to reactivate them, it does not do so, and gives this error message: "Fontmatrix has been unable to load the font in file /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-liberation/LiberationMono-Bold.ttf. Please check missing files." It is still possible to reinstall them using Gnome Font Viewer. Does anyone know what to do about this?
There is a tool appeared in repository called ktune; The purpose is to adjust some sysctl.conf settings to improve server speed on servers with heavy load. What is this tool for if one can achieve the same with the configuration file added to system startup? Or ktune is just such file?
I got this type of messages:k journald starting. commit interval 5 seconds.EXT3.fs:mounted file system with ordered data modefreeing unused kernel memory : 212 k freed.Warning:unable to open an initial consoleAfter this Server is not hang state but stay at same Anybody can help me how to resloved this type of issue.
I am unable to restore my iptables from iptables-save after upgrading Fedora. I cannot get iptables-restore to work, and I have resorted to entering rules manually using the GUI.
