Ubuntu :: Evolution Error Object Class EMFolderTree Doesn't Implement Property 'paste-target-list' From Interface 'ESelectable'
May 24, 2011
When I start evolution from the terminal I get this: (evolution:3265): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: Object class EMFolderTree doesn't implement property 'paste-target-list' from interface 'ESelectable' The program still starts though. I am fairly new to Ubuntu.
Currently I have a single openldap server version 2.3.32 preforming authentication on our databases as well as e-mail and other assorted programs. When we get a high volume of users, sometimes the users can not be authenticated for new e-mail sessions and what not. We have traced it back to being that our current single ldap server can not authenticate them all in a timely manner. We decided that we would put up a new ldap server and replicate the changes to it, then upgrade the older server version and replicate back to it so that both would have a current up to date copy of our configuration, and we would do a master/slave type setup.
Trying to replicate between the old server and the new server is not currently working. Here is the issue: when we try to import the schema's from the older server we get this error: slapadd: dn="cn=Domain Users,ou=Groups,dc=mydomain,dc=com" (line=247): (65) no structural object class provided I can not seem to find any information on google that shows this exact error? if this isn't detailed enough let me know what else I should post.
When I compile my application, I received following error: ERROR: Source object libxml2.so has EABI version 0, but target turbine has EABI version 4. So I need a libxml2 file with ARM EABI version 4. Can I find one from the internet? or does anyone know how to create one?
I found out how to save an object using Serializable in JAVA, the standard however how can I set up my MainVariableList to have a function/method saveobject so it saves the object within it's own class, the below code compiles, however when I run it reports an error on startup but works, basically what do I use for the red line, how do I tell it what object is passed to the class?
I am using slackware 13 and openldap 2.4 with webmin. whenever I start my server i get following error "root DN missing". when I try to create root DN I get error "unable to create object class". where do we define object classes?
I have created a simple test class - Mortgage, with the class declaration in the .h file and the class's methods defined in the .cpp file. (mortgage.h && mortgage.cpp, respectively) Straight up C++ 101 as far as I can tell. I instantiate the class in the main() function, which is defined in practice.cpp. Using Geany on Ubuntu, both the practice.o and mortgage.o files are created, but then I get a linker error: undefined reference to class::functionName
I get it for each function. If the mortgage.cpp file is foremost in the editor when I click "build", then I get the undefined reference to main() error, if practice.cpp is foremost (where the main() function is) then I get undefined reference to Mortgage::Mortgage(), and all the rest of the functions defined for that class. How do I get the linker to know where my object files are so it will link them in? Or is the problem somewhere else entirely?
I've been using the PPA version of banshee, and I got this error - just wondering if anyone else has it too! I'm able to play a song, but when the song finishes and the next one starts I get this error: Banshee Encountered a Fatal Error Object reference not sent to an instance of an object Error details:
Code: An unhandled exception was thrown: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at Hyena.Gui.Theming.GtkTheme.GetCairoTextMidColor (Gtk.Widget) <0x00017> at Banshee.NotificationArea.NotificationAreaService.get_TextLightColor () <0x0002f> at Banshee.NotificationArea.NotificationAreaService.MarkupFormat (string, string[]) <0x00043> at Banshee.NotificationArea.NotificationAreaService.GetByFrom (string, string, string, string) <0x000d7>
Well I really don't understand why Fedora Project has changed the way to start in the level what I need by changing the inittab file. Now is a bit complicated and following the instruction in the fedora.wiki the only thing I get is block my access to the graphical interface and blocked the access to my shell. I've deleted the original 'default.target' file and replaced it by the multi-user.target pointing out to the 'runlevel3.target'. Thus the only thing is my blue screen with Fedora logo freezed. How to recover my graphical interface?
After installing Epiphany and Evolution, I am unable to paste any text into Evolution compose box and gnome-terminal. Neither Ctrl+V nor Rightclick>>Paste work. However, middle-mouse button click pastes text.
I am on Debian Squeeze.
PS: I am sure Ctrl+V doesn't work in gnome-terminal, but rightclick>>paste should work. And in evolution compose box both Ctrl+V and rightclick>>paste should work.
I've upgraded to 11.04 and now Evolution doesn't work right. It shows there are unread messages in my inbox, but when I click on it, it says "Error Generating Message List" at the bottom, with an exclamation mark in a red circle. When I click on that, it says "database disk image is malformed". I've uninstalled and reinstalled Evolution, but get the same message.
Whenever I try to do anything in synaptic, apt-get, or aptitude I get error msg dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/evolution-common2.30.3-5_all.deb (--unpack): failed in write on buffer copy for backend dpkg-deb during './usr/share/gnome/help/evolution/c/figures/evo_labels_a.png':No space left on device configured to not write apport reports dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
This is from synaptic E: /var/cache/apt/archives/evolution-common_2.30.3-5_all.deb: failed in write on buffer copy for backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/share/gnome/help/evolution/el/figures/evo_attachreminder_plugin.png' I have also been getting /usr/ full notifications. I have tried to remove files but after I reboot they are still there.
I want to create a Java Servlet that will interface with a shared object (.so) library. The library is a component provided by a SDK manufacturer. This Java Servlet will be hosted on Apache Tomcat running in the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud.
I have my task list in evolution (mainly so it can sync with my phone and online task list) but I always forget to look at the task list. Is there an application or plugin which periodically displays the contents of the tasklist or even better, it briefly displays the most urgent/important tasks when I login? Or anything else which automatically displays the most important tasks. Currently I have to open the task list and look at them (which I usually forget). I do not mean some kind of alarm when the task is due but more a daily reminder of what to do.
I thought there exists a built-in function that gives total size of a list object in byte. So using the function produces 1 for a1, 3 for a2. I haven't found such function or module yet.
My network name is eth2 it was changed by some reason and now i got these errors... i installed, reinstalled, re re installed, tried to run the asistant but no luck :/
Code:
* Stopping the Firestarter firewall... eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found
I've recently installed 10.10 onto my laptop, a Toshiba Equium A-100. It's been working perfectly for the last few weeks, but today I woke up, booted and got this;
Code:
mount: mounting dev/disk/by-uuid/9f8e1fd1-ca75-4eeb-8afc-a6b7bd756180 on /root failed: Invalid argument mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed: No such file or directory
[code]....
I'm a bit of a linux newbie, and while I can use the system fine, once we get into a shell I'm out of my depth. My laptop is useless now, and, unluckily, my 2000 word end-of-semester submission is on it. No, I didn't back it up because I wrote it last night. Arrgh.
I hope that you will be able to help me. I know that my topic may seem the same as some other threads, but there is a twist and it seems that I can't sort things out. I installed Ubuntu on the family's 4 year old Dell about a year ago when Windows stopped working (too many bluescreens!). It seed to be good, until one day when I tried to boot and it listed some codes on a black screen. I then reinstalled ubuntu from one of my disks, and it worked fine... until the entire thing occurred again a week later. This happened once or twice more, until today's problem:
It won't boot into ubuntu and also has white writing on the black background (read this below). I tried to reinstall from a ubuntu install disk, burned additional install disks, made an install usb, and also tried opensuse. They all say the below message when I try to boot into the disk:
Killed mount: mounting on /dev on root/dev failed: No such file or directory mount: mounting on /sys on root/sys failed: No such file or directory mount: mounting on /proc on root/proc failed: No such file or directory Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init.
My UBUNTU 8.04 server does not boot anymore : here is the error message :Quote:Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/initPrevious messages on the boot were :Quote:
kinit: name_to_dev_t(/dev/disk/by-uuid/0a301...a8 = md1(9.1) kinit: trying to resume from /dev/disk/by-uuid/0a301...a8 kinit : No resume image, doing normal boot...
Click here for solution... http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...99&postcount=3So I just realized how stupid I was being trying to run these commands for a NTFS partition... so I searched and used Gparted to check sda2, and also ran
Code: root@ubuntu:/home/ubuntu# sudo ntfsfix /dev/sda2 Mounting volume... OK
I can't get Ubuntu to boot. The computer isn't actually mine so I don't know exactly what happened, but I think an update went badly wrong...
Anyway, whenever I try and boot Ubuntu, i get this
Code: Killed mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed: No such file or directory mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such file or directory mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such file or directory Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init No init found. Try passing init= bootarg
(and then something about initramfs) I've been trying to find out what the error is on the forums, and I think it could be to do with grub not being able to find something, but I really don't know because I don't understand exactly what's going on.
I can load the grub menu, but I can't boot Ubuntu from there. Also, I can't run or install Ubuntu on a live usb because it just hangs at the Ubuntu loading screen.
Ubuntu has officially jumped the shark. I did an update...restarted and got this:
Quote:
mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed: No such file or directory mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such file or directory mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such file or directory Target filesystem doesn't have requested /sbin/init. No init found. Try passing init=bootarg
I had configured the evolution to send/recive email. After it had been configured, it could receive emails. Suddendly it can't fetch email anymore. In the inbox of evolution, there were about 200 emails. There are maybe 5K emails in the server, I guessed. I'm not sure whether it's the problem that there's one email in the server too big, so the evolution can not fetch it. The error of evolution is: error while fetching email. Evolution version: Evolution 2.28.0. OS version: Linux xxx2.6.32.9-70.fc12.i686.PAE #1 SMP Wed Mar 3 04:57:21 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux I'm sure my network is fine, I use pop3 to receive email.

I am trying to copy content from firefox, which has images on it, to Openoffice writer. However, the image does not seems to get copied. It shows only some link. Is there a way to copy everything including images?
