Software :: Error, Check The HTTP Server Authentication Requirements For Accessing This CGI
Jan 1, 2010
I using rhel5 i installed&configured nagios ofter loged in the nagios server when i m enter hosts & services i m getting this error # it appears as though you do not have permission to view information for any of the hosts you requested. If you believe this is an error, check the HTTP server authentication requirements for accessing this CGI and check the authorization options in your CGI configuration file.
I have a server acting as a proxy to a couple of IP cameras on my local network. The IP cameras require HTTP-Authentication (Basic) but I want the outward facing Apache server to automatically log in without prompting the user for a login.
My current configuration is:
Code:
That works as a proxy but still asks for a HTTP Auth login. Can I get Apache to pass the login details to the IP cameras so users can just hit up the proxy and view the camera without having to log in?
I'm trying to setup a Centos 5.6 Squid Proxy Server with Content Filtering & Antivirus Scanning Incoming HTTP Traffic from the Internet
I then proceeded to setup an configure the Proxy Server, i was able to test and confirm that Squid and Dansguardian Content Filter is working, however i dont know if Clamav is scanning HTTP traffic before it hits the client/server. Is there a way i can check if the Antivirus scanning is working.. is there some log file or real world test i can i can do to confirm that Clamav is scanning incoming traffic or even blocking potential viruses ??
Anyone who has squid proxy server with Clamav configured and its working can share there settings/setup with me and how they tested it ??
Intel just pushed out a new driver that speeds up performance on certain chipsets. Has anyone here tried it yet? I've tried compiling but run into a weird error :
Quote: checking for XORG... no configure: error: Package requirements (xorg-server >= 1.6 xproto fontsproto randrproto renderproto xextproto x11 xextproto) were not met: No package 'x11' found
I'm trying to add HTTP authentication to my app (it's a rss reader). As the app is in written in C and uses Libxml2, I've been searching in Libxml2 doc, but it seems it's not possible. Maybe someone could point me to a link to relevant info about how I could achieve that?
On a laptop I have Windows 7 installed, and ubuntu 11.04. Now. A while ago the HDD died and I replaced it. with some data loss but nothing much to worry. Now I thought that it would be useful if I somehow could manage to direct the Documents, Music etc. etc. folders located /home/[user] to somewhere on a different partition HDD. I managed to make new folders on the partition and link them with the documents and music folders etc.. the problem now is is that you have to unlock it every time by either opening the partition and insert your password. I know that the password problem can be evaded by simply changing some settings, but. I want to evade the whole process of clicking on the partition. It is for security reasons that that have to sort of activate the partition, but I find it becoming a bit annoying.
So, has anyone a clue of how to activate the driver right at the start? something automatic stuff. Or does someone know how to disable this ?
When I am trying to run the Xserver using the command startx I am getting the below mentioned error
xauth: creating new authority file /oracle/oracle10g/.serverauth.22555 Fatal server error:PAM authentication failed, cannot start X server. Perhaps you do not have console ownership?
I installed Nagios on my Ubuntu 10.04 server using apt-get and when I accessed the web console, everything was OK. I made some changes to apache (creating some new virtual sites) and since then Nagios gives me a warning message for HTTP with the message, HTTP WARNING: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found. The sites that I created are working perfectly. I noticed that the attemps are 4/4. Does this need to be reset or does Nagios automatically reset that once it detects the issue is resolved?
I have a process where by all SVN repositories are held in /var/svn/[domain]. I have set-up a post-commit hook to automatically checkout the repository to the development site and delete all .svn directories recursively through-out.I intend to run a bash script (as below); this is where my problem lies. EVERY repository is "Open" and anyone can read, write and commit the repository, however thus is secure via HTTP Authentication, using htpasswd.
Because the hook is automatic, I would like to be able to collect the current user/password but I don't think it's possible so I have created an account for the system called "svnroot" with a password. How can i authenticate through the HTTP Authentication via my bash script?
I've been running a SuseStudio-built VM for a few weeks with no issues. I built a new one recently, and now I can't configure a new vhost in Apache using the http-server module. It gives me this error. Screen shot 2010-11-06 at 11.42.24 AM.png. Why YaST suddenly decided that my hostnames aren't valid?
I can open the stream fine from Firefox and I have recorded streams using VLC, however this one uses cookies as authentication and VLC will not play it Apparently it's considered a security issue so cookie support has not been implemented for VLC.
I'm dual booting Ubuntu 9.10 and win7. I have an NTFS partition on my disk and whenever i want to browse files on that partition I'm required to enter my password. my problem is that my music folder is located on that partition, and as a result, whenever I open rhythmbox, it cant access the files on that partition and begins to remove them from the library. in order to prevent this i must browse to that partition manually and enter my password upon request, prior to opening rhythmbox.
on a side note - shouldn't the spell checker on the Ubuntu forums recognize "Ubuntu" as a legit word ?
I am running apache httpd-2.2.3-43.el5.centos.3 When i restart the http, it says the following error "Invalid command 'JkSet', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration "
Do I need to install anything like tomcat? or include any configuration setting in apache? kernel version: 2.6.18-194.32.1.el5
I'm new in UNIX & trying to access the server using SSH but I encounter this error PAM Authentication Error. I use edit /etc/ssh/sshd_login & set the PermitRootLogin to yes. But didn't work. I used this command ps -ef | grep sshd & saying Process environment requires procfs(5). I don't know what to do now. What I want is access it by SSH but I got Access Denied. We're having an issue with HTTP POST file uploads on our two Ubuntu PCs. For some reason, whenever one of our users attempts to submit a file in an HTML form, the request times out, usually with a 500 Internal Server Error message. This problem is not limited to one site, but occurs on all sites that use file uploads. Also, the problem does not appear to be with our network, as a Windows 7 PC on the same network can upload files to the same sites without any difficulties. The problem is not browser-specific; we have tested with Firefox, Epiphany, and Google Chrome and all produce the same results. The issue is relatively new, and was first observed within the last month; before this time, both machines had no problems uploading files.
Does anyone have ANY idea what could be causing this? I've tried a number of things, including rebooting the PCs, rebooting the network, disabling IPv6, etc. I'm not very experienced in Linux system administration, but I can use the terminal and am familiar with some terminal-based diagnostic tools, so if you need any additional info or want me to try something, please let me know! I've exhausted my own computer knowledge with regards to finding a solution to this problem.
I am using Kubuntu 10.04, but I am posting here because the Kubuntu forums seems to be user agnostic. I just couldn't get past the verificaiton process. This should be a general networking problem that Ubuntu users can answer. On my home network, I have a Windows machine whose shared folders I can access from one machine running Ubuntu 9.04. I've had to do no network configuration on Ubuntu, it just works out of the box. On Windows I do not have a password that I use to login. Ubuntu does not ask for it either.
But on Kubuntu, when I browse the network samba shares, I can see my Windows share, open it, navigate it, but every time I cd into another level in the share or click on a file (say a music file to play), the authentication window pops up asking for a user name and password. What login information should I use here? I tried my Windows user name and a blank password,
On Ubuntu server 10.10, with a relay smtp server with authentication via postfix; I keep getting 535: Incorrect authentication data. I'm sure my username and password is correct. Heres how I set up postfix: I created a file called smarthosts.conf in my /etc/postfix/ directory that contains the following:
[Code].....
my server uses plain text authentication on port 25. I would like to use security like SSL, but this particular server is unsecured.
I think I am having a problem due to an NFS server file size limit. Is it possible I am missing a parameter on the RHEL NFS setup to handle large files? I am running an NFS server on a RHEL 5.1 machine and the HP-UX 11.0 machine does an NFS mount to that file system. The HP-UX executes a program that resides on the HP-UX machine to process a large 35 GB data file that resides on the NFS server machine. The program on the HP-UX can only read/process the first portion of the file until an "RPC: Authentication error" is returned multiple times until the program prematurely decides that it has reached the end of file.
I tried recompiling the same program to run on the RHEL 5.1 NFS server to access the 35 GB file locally (on the NFS server instead on HP-UX) and the program completed successfully, processing the whole file (about 7 hours of processing) with no "RPC: Authentication error." In addition, I have been running the nfs mount with the same machines for quite some time, but not with such large files sizes.
I wonder if there is a command that can tell me which process is accessing a folder, say, /mnt? Sometimes I forgot which process is accessing /mnt and therefore cannot umount /mnt.
I made a system in CentOS5.5. I used Tomcat6 and PostgreSQL. But I couldn't enter my system. There are some error. And I don't understand what kind of error this. JDBCExceptionReporter.logExceptions(100) | SQL Error: 0, SQLState: null JDBCExceptionReporter.logExceptions(101) | Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (FATAL: Ident authentication failed for user "postgres") "postgres" is username. Is anybody knows anything about this error message.
checking for GLADE... configure: error: Package requirements (libglade-2.0 >= 2.4) were not met:I can't find this file, I tried running yum install libglade and it worked, but it won't accept it.Package libglade2-2.6.4-1.fc11.x86_64 already installed and latest version.
configure: error: Package requirements (purple) were not met:No package 'purple' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PURPLE_CFLAGS and PURPLE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details. What am I supposed to do from here? I know libpurple is installed but the package "purple" doesn't even exist. The application I'm trying to install is called gFire by the way.
we need to log web access of a certain set of users for analysis. We decided to setup a proxy server which just logs all the requests but does not do anything else like caching/access control etc.All users will be using a fixed set of computers and hence we can redirect their requests to the proxy. I came across Squid, but found it to be too heavy for our requirements. Is there any other proxy-server software that is good enough for what we want or is Squid the only way?
having a slow internet connection, I bought the all maverick repository on DVDs, copied the files on a usb drive and modified the apt sources file to consider the local repository only:
Code:
# deb file:/var/www/ubuntu_local/ ./ deb file:/var/www/maverick/dvd1/ maverick main universe restricted multiverse deb file:/var/www/maverick/dvd2/ maverick main universe restricted multiverse deb file:/var/www/maverick/dvd3/ maverick main universe restricted multiverse
[code]....
Even though I am reasonably sure it is safe, this local repository is not authenticated and I can only install package through the command line or synaptic, the Ubuntu Software Centre giving an error message "Requires installation of untrusted packages"...I thus would like to disable the apt authentication check for this local repository.
I have a problem with ldap client authentication in ubuntu. I am using rhel5 as openldap server and I configured ubuntu as client, when I am trying to login the following message is coming."su: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info. Sorry" But when I do search through "ldapsearch" command output is coming without any errors, Can anybody explain what would be problem.
