Software :: Where To Download A File Called Cleanappledouble.pl?
May 20, 2010
I was reading some old posts here and was wondering if anyone could give me or show me where I can download a file called cleanappledouble.pl Apparently it is included when netatalk is installed and is located in /usr/local/atalk/bin for most people. Here is the thread where I was looking at regarding the file.

I feel there's a bit of a misunderstanding going on between C++ and me...My problem is that I have a deque of pointers to a class, and create objects then add them to the deque in a for loop. However, the destructor is called on the object as soon as the loop quits.
Code:
This prints:
Code:
Now, if I change the deque from deque<Test*> to deque<Test> then it works fine - I get:
Code:
However, I can't do this with my actual code, because I am creating a deque of pointers to an abstract class, so it won't let me instantiate the class. (This is all so that I can take advantage of polymorphism, and call functions on a set of similar objects without worrying what type of object I'm dealing with).
So, I suppose my question is: what is the correct way to create that deque of pointers to the abstract class? I don't seem to be barking up the right tree currently.

What is the Terminology called of a Binary using a file that is not part of it's self? An example would be when a browser uses a HTML file for it's interface. The binaries code has to know how to find it and so on. I imagine that the applications binary uses a system call and that another application takes over.

I'm getting openbox up and running on squeeze. I performed a netinstall and did a simple apt-get openboxI need to modify a file called ~/.xinitrc, but it does not exist. I read that I can copy one over from /var/x11r6/lib/xinitrc, but the /x11r6/ directory doesn't exist either. I've installed xorg, but the directory still eludes me. A package search yields nothing useful. I am using the SLiM display/login manager, which I believe calls startx, which should theoretically generate the ~/.xinitrc file.

Is there any software that can 'read' the log file in nagios and produce a so-called 'scoreboard' (something like a graph) to display the status of the services? I was told that one could 'read' the log file stored in nagios and create a scoreboard.

I've done a low level format on them so they're completely empty. When I use them with my windows machines, they're absolutely fine. When I plug them into my Ubuntu machine, there is a hidden directory created called 'RECYCLER' which I'm assuming is for deleted files? However, it also creates a .exe file in this directory called 0x2D9FA278 which has an Icon with an H in it and a comment of 'Facebook Photo' This has the effect of making all the directories on the stick into shortcuts! I googled the file name and it seems to be some sort of Trojan, but I don't understand how it's go into my Ubuntu machine, I've scanned with ClamAV and it finds nothing.

A folder called "file:" appears periodically in my home directory. It contains an empty mirror of my home partition's directory structure down to my user folder, under which is an empty Desktop folder. Deleting it causes no obvious problems. My home partition has an XFS file system and I think this is somehow related to that since I've never seen it on an ext3 home partition.

Asked this on Jul 21, and didn't get any satisfactory answers. Thought i'd ask again before i switch to Ubuntu or go back to Fedora: Has anyone gone to software.opensuse.org: Download openSUSE 11.3 and actually chosen "Installation Medium" as "4.7G DVD", "Direct Link", "32 bit PC", hit the "Download DVD" button and gotten the file "openSUSE-11.3-DVD-i586.iso" which is not 49.0MB?
I mean, the steps above are not rocket science, and not much chance of making mistakes, so i'm not sure how i can get a download popup which specifies that the file is 49.0MB file, if it's not actually that size?

I'm interested in giving openSUSE a try and was investigating the various downloads. At software.opensuse.org: Download openSUSE 11.3 there is the option for a 64 bit download that is 4.67 GB! At Index of /distribution/11.3/iso the size of the file I need for USB is about 681 MB. Before I download, what comes with the 4.68 gig download that is not included in the other that is so massive in size? Other than the iso and the md5, anything else needed to install openSUSE from USB (plan on using Unetbootin)?

I'm not if I should download the i386 or the x86 iso. I'm not very familiar with hardware. The processor in the computer I want to install fedora on has an AMD64 athlon processor. My confusion comes from the fact that when I bought this computer it has what I assume is a 32-bit vista installation, and the recovery disc doesn't have the option to choose 64-bit or 32-bit installs like the one for my 64-bit vista machine does. The link for the computer I'm going to try fedora out on is here: [URL]. (I know it's not that great, but it's good for tinkering around with.)

I am running Fedora 14, 64 bit. For running Skype, I've installed all the 32 bit libraries needed, using this command:
yum -y install libXv.i686 libXScrnSaver.i686 qt.i686 qt-x11.i686 pulseaudio-libs.i686 pulseaudio-libs-glib2.i686 alsa-plugins-pulseaudio.i686
Everything is cool, till I realized, that I still hadn't configured yum to keep downloaded rpm's in the cache :-( And I am ALWAYS keeping the downloaded rpm's !!! I have the filenames from the terminal, but can't figure out how to download them again (easily). I immediately thought of yumdownloader, but it doesn't work as I need it to:
# yumdownloader libxml2-2.7.7-2.fc14.i686.rpm
Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
No Match for argument libxml2-2.7.7-2.fc14.i686.rpm
Nothing to download
Maybe I need the contrary to yum whatprovides ? Is there any way to easily do it? (I was quite successful with wget, but I am still missing 11 packages which I can't find them in the repo.

I am trying to create a script to do the following.. Login to a ftp and download a with the following naming convention xmtvMMDDYY.xml.gzon a daily basis followed by extracting that file. which I can do easy enough with a static filename. but the variable filename is throwing me off. I was planning on doing a mget with wildcard to just grab the entire directory but this found to not be as clean as I had hoped. Mainly due to the admins of the ftp keeping multiple days of the above mentioned file on the site.
