Software :: Nokia And Microsoft Exchange Server Sync?
Apr 17, 2010
My client has seen an article about Nokia integrating with microsoft exchange to sync his emails between the office PC, his laptop and his Nokia E90.Naturally enough, I'm not keen to install and setup Microsoft Windows Server with Microsoft Exchange and I'd like to present him with a linux based alternative.
I am looking for an equivalent software of Microsoft Exchange server. Right now we are using MS Exchange Server with 40 users. Can I transfer this setup to any equivalent RHEL programs? Is There A Linux Equivalent To Microsoft Exchange?
I recently had the need to relay SMTP mail through our organizations hosted MS Exchange server. I had to do a little troubleshooting, so I wrote a concise summary of the procedure I followed.
how to sync contacts, calandar and notes between my Nokia N97 Mini and Ubuntu 10.4 via Bluetooth (or USB).I used some time on 9.10 on this without luck as I was told that the tutorials on this forum did not work on 9.10. Which applications should I use and how should they be configured?
I have been able to sync my Nokia C6-00 using multisync in Ubuntu Lucid 10.04. Thought of sharing it in Ubuntuforums. I have borrowed most instructions from one post for Nokia N95 but do not have the link right now.
1. Install blueman using sudo aptitutde install blueman This installs the bluetooth manager. It should be easy to configure bluetooth support for your phone with blueman menu.
2. To get your C6's MAC address, open a terminal and type:
sth happened and I cannot sync my nokia 5800 in memory card mode with my laptop. It says sth that certain files or folders are read only. Tried to change permissions but no luck. this is it:
koli@koli-laptop:~$ n sending incremental file list sent 7412 bytes received 21 bytes 14866.00 bytes/sec total size is 11073190 speedup is 1489.73
Given that Nokia have bought Trolltech, albeit quite a while ago now, I still can't see any native QT version of Nokia's software suite for their phones. Are there any plans in the coming year for a Linux version of Nokia's PC Suite software?
i need to configure postfix on centos to relay email from the internet to the Exchange Server and i also need that emails sent from the exchange within the same domain be sent to postfix then resent to exchange because i have spamassassin and clamav installed on centos to filter all incoming and outgoing mails ...
Have read a whole bunch of threads from how and troubleshooting but still having problems. Was thrown a box configured by someone who resigned today. Need to get mail from the box outbound via SMTP relay off our exchange server.
I have set up ubuntu server V9 with squid, dansguardian and clam. I have fetchmail wroking to bring in mail from our externally hosted website and delivering it to users mailboxes in exchange server. That was easy following guides on the internet. However my brain is failing me now. How do I reverse the process and send mail to the outside world. I need to be able to do this without authentication. At the moment i am using a windows environment with exchangepop3 which uses smarthost to connect to the ISP smtp server. Please help or point to a simple guide. If i cannot solve this soon i will have to revert to microsoft solution for the proxy server.
i want to configure my MS Exchange server email in Evolution of Fedora. as, Ubuntu 10.10 gives the dropdown for MS exchange server, however in fedora 14 the same is not available.
I am using Fedora 12 and Thunderbird 3.0.4 version I am trying the connect it to the IMAP server but it does not work (no authentication).
- IMAP with SSL - SMTP with none
Though it works for other email client (Evolution). I there a problem with the thunderbird itself or am I missing something special to configure that I dont know of?
I have a Nagios box set up on the corporate LAN. I'm trying to get it to send emails to both internal Exchange addresses as well as doing a direct delivery to internet domains.
I have looked at a few logs and it appears that Postfix is not doing proper DNS lookups on the internal servers. It keeps trying to connect to the domain controllers. I have an MX record specified.
I have set up qmailtoaster as a gateway for exchange.
my smtproutes contain this: thedomain.com:mail.exchange.com and my rcpthosts contain: thedomain
The problem I am facing now is, the exchange was able to send mails through me alright. But when mails come in, qmailtoaster is suppose to forward the mails to the exchange server but it is not, rather the mails are sitting in the toaster's queue.
We are using Linux as our database server and Microsoft Sever 2008 as our file server. Both are on independent servers. We would like to be able to mirror each server on the other for disaster recovery purposes. I am completely new to Linux.
I'm experiencing an occasional frustration using Evolution with my work email which is on an MS Exchange 2003 server.Everything usually works well enough, but from time to time I'll try to retrieve a message,Is there a setting I've missed in Evolution that might take care of this, or some other workaround?Let me re-emphasize that the server is a 2003 Exchange server (and a source of endless frustration for a non-windows user). It's not a 2007 or 2010 Exchange server, which is what most companies use these days.
am having difficulties to set an environment for Financial Process Exchange server. i am running on CentOS release 5.5.
[root@Nagios ~]# $PATH -bash: /usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_16/bin:/root/bin:/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_16/bin: No such file or directory
what should i do next ? I have installed the J2sdk1.4.2 and file has located here
/usr/java drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 Mar 15 03:55 j2sdk1.4.2_16
in bash_profile i also added # .bash_profile # Get the aliases and functions if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then . ~/.bashrc
I have ticket tracking software that mails ticket to groups. Right now the software is on an exchange server. After moving it to a dedicated linux server (debian lenny) I cant get it to email any of the internal domain addresses. I have tried to setup sendmail to relay it to the exchange server. Logs indicate that it was sent by the ticket tracking software but the message never hits the mailbox. It also wont get to any other mail address. Is there a better way to do this? The crm software will utilize either a smtp server or any mail server on the localhost. The problem is that with the dedicated server on the same network as the exchange server, it fails to send the mail even if I assign an external smtp server. But if the dedicated server is on a different network then it works using any smtp server in its configuration. I need something that can "pass the email" to the exchange server. Or just be able to send the mail to internal email account and still be on the same network.
I have an issue in my organisation that a particular user X's mail not able to forward from my linux server MTA postfix to my second windows exchange (HUB)mail server. We use linux mail server as SMTP Gateway we have implemented fetchmail for doing this job. and its MTA is postfix OS is SUSE. Rest users mail are able to come in exchange HUB server via linux mail server. When I see that purticular user X mail in linux I am able see its spool file in /var/spool/mail and also via mail or mutt command. My question is why postix not able to forward that user X mail to our exchange HUB server.
We have a Windows 2K8 domain with Exchange 2010. I have setup a Ubuntu Server to be used as an internal wiki. Installed AMP on it and have MediaWiki running. Now I would like to setup SendmailToWiki extension. The only problem is that I do not know how do I make sendmail to work inside the LAN her with the Exchange server? This is the extension: [URL]
The e-mail address that is used in the extension is dynamic(changes for every user, since each user sets its own pinkode). And the script sets the domain part off the email to the last part off the IP of the ubuntuserver. For example: wikipost+2.12345@62.85. I cant send an email to half of an IP, can I? What I need to configure or not?

I am working happily with Fedora 8, evolution chatting happily to exchange 2003, calendar sync the works...impressed. This continued through Fedora 9 (though a little bumpy as all odd numbered Fedora releases are). On to Fedora 10, yes works a treat out of the box (DVD). A couple of updates to evolution later, through yumex (fedora updates), and evolution has stopped sending email to the exchange server. It's also touch and go whether I can read email using OWA.
On pressing 'Send/Receive' evolution pops the error, Error while performing operation. Exchange transport can only be used with Exchange mail source. How could I back out these evolution updates?
