View 8 RepliesI have a html page and I would like to search for the occurance of a given string as an anchor. Then I would like to search backward for a the first match to a given regular expression. As a result I would like to output the text between the two points.
Please note that I would like to have the output up to the first regex match before the ANCHOR point.What is the best tool to solve this?
I seem to be getting a lot of firefox crashes. I was actually able to reproduce it every time by typing "S02" into the search bar...not sure why. Here's the backtrace. Edit: Odd, it also crashes when I enter s02 into my history search box...

Is it possible to locate the Firefox file that retains "Search" history (not particularly "Browser" history)?I have lost a hardcopy list of authors and titles of books/ebooks that I search the web for. However, most of the time when I would enter a name or title a drop down list would have that entry I wanted, and I could just click on it. That drop down list is what I am calling "Search" history.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install the IDS component barnyard2 on RHEL 5. I am following the snort enterprise insall document by Patrick Harper. For installing barnyard, after the tar command it says to perform a ./configure --enable-mysql The --enable-mysql does not work: configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --enable-mysql --with-mysql does work. Is there a difference? Next, using --with-mysql, I get a failure at the end:

Libpcap library/headers (libpcap.a (or .so)/pcap.h) not found, go get it from Open Source and Linux Forums dot tcpdump dot org TCPDUMP/LIBPCAP public repository or use the --with-libpcap-* options, if you have it installed in unusual place. I did a fresh lenny amd64 install from netinstall. I did not check standard system during installtion. Now I installed gnome and some other packages. Just one question,I can not use "?abc" to search abc in man page.(At the bottom of man page there is a "more") But I can do that if I install from a installtion CD1 with default opition. What is the problem?

One is running Linux Mint 8 and the other is running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10. The first time on either computer when I enable WebUI in the Deluge GUI it works fine. However if I ever disable it in plugins section I am subsequently unable to re-enable it (doesn't appear in the side panel again). Rebooting or reinstalling Deluge seems to have no effect.Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I went about installing it thinking that it would all work. But it seems that I was wrong. So I try to start mysql, and here's what I get:

i am using liferay5.2(mysql included in the download pack) on fedora. while liferay is working fine but i cannot connect to mysql.i am getting the error

i didnt find the mysql.sock file in the location /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock. i cannot find the portal-ext.properties file also to make intial settings.
i guess this is an installation issue as i am newish to Linux and got a F14 laptop from a used/refurb store... Anyway it seem i have difficulty with getting GTK running or maybe it is WGET...?
i did manage to install apt-get and was able to run synaptics ... but now whenever i try to run synaptics it flashes the interface and crashes. i tried apt-get search wget and it says invalid operation search. i tried apt cache wget and get a crash box in the upper right corner... i tried apt-get gtk+extra-2.1.2-4.fc14 and it says invalid operation gtk...
All of which is frustrating my attempts to get the GTK interface to J working. Their script uses WGET which i also cannot get.

I've been attempting to set up a LAMP for local web development, which meant installing mysql-server. But now have a problem when trying to run mysql, I get:-
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
When trying to downgrade mysql-server I saw that there are dependency problems between the various modules (but can't recall which). But whichever route I truied the results are always the same.
Thought about trying XAMPP but I note that even has it's problems, is there any way I can get a lamp set up on FC14, or must I give it up as a bad job.
Howver, just been trying to again to fix the problems with downgrading mysql and get:-
