Slackware :: Compile Clementine-player From Trunk Without Success

Apr 26, 2010

I'm trying to compile clementine-player from trunk without success. When running cmake, everything seems fine:

Code:

-- The C compiler identification is GNU
-- The CXX compiler identification is GNU
-- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc
-- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- works
-- Detecting C compiler ABI info
-- Detecting C compiler ABI info - done

[Code]...

I have recompiled QT 4.6.2 and it's working ok, I got the same errors with 4.5.1. Version is Slackware64-13.0 with some upgraded dependencies like taglib.

Slackware :: Compile 2.6.37 Kernel Patched With The Autogroup Patch On A Slackware 13.1 System?

Jan 13, 2011

it's possible to compile the 2.6.37 kernel patched with the autogroup patch on a Slackware 13.1 system running 2.6.33.4-smp with 2.6.33.4 headers? I just compiled and installed the 2.6.37-autogroup kernel from AUR on my ARCH setup and I like it especially when using firefox with lots of tabs open and other background apps also running. I did notice a speed and smothness difference in my ARCH testing setup with this kernel patch and I can get same results in 13.1??

An updated slackbuild for Gyachi on Slackware 13.1 could be the perfect solution (I guess).

Slackware :: 64 Multilib - Can't Compile 32-bit Apps ?

Jun 4, 2010

I installed Slackware64 13.1 two days ago for the first time ever on my Dell Inspiron 1525 after using linux for about a year (Debian and Fedora, though I've installed a few others in VMs). I've really enjoyed Slackware so far, it's been comparatively trouble free. However, I decided to follow AlienBOB's instructions to make it multilib, and though I thought I'd done everything right - I can't seem to compile any 32-bit 13.1 slackbuilds; I've tried with sbopkg as well as the normal method, but it simply won't work. I must have done something wrong, but I've re-read the instructions on getting mutilib working several times and I can't work out what it is.

Slackware :: How To Compile Gnustep For X86_64

Apr 9, 2010

The background to the problem. I was dangerous, not deadly or elite and I want to be that way again. The best representation that I have found is oolite. Now this installs by auto-package but only in 32-bit and I find auto-package a bit of a pain. I have the windows version installed and running under wine but would prefer a compiled 64-bit Slackware package.

Oolite requires gnu-step so I have downloaded the source and some old (12.2) slackbuilds, which I have modified, and made a package for gnustep-make. The next stage is to make a package for gnustep-base however it is failing with the following error

Code:

./configure: line 1390: gnustep-config: command not found
configure: error: cannot run /bin/sh /tmp/SBo/gnustep-base-1.18.0/config.sub

OpenSUSE Multimedia :: Where To Find Clementine Or Amarok 1.4 RPM

Aug 21, 2011

Title says it all. I have an OpenSuse 11.2 KDE 4 64 bit system. I'd like to run Clementine as an audio player but can't find an RPM that will install on my system. Please don't suggest I update to 11.4 since KDEPIM is still unusable in that version. (11.2 is the latest version with a fully functional KDEPIM including distribution lists) I'd gladly install Amarok 1.4 but then I'd need to add KDE3 to this system.

Slackware :: Can't Compile Tolua++ In Slackware64-current

Mar 22, 2010

I'm trying to compile tolua++ so that i can use lua in conky 1.7.2, however I am running into a problem. tolua++ defaults to looking for lua 5.0 libraries and I have lua 5.1 installed since that is what conky requires. According to the README tolua++ can use lua-5.1 but I not sure how to configure tulua++ to use those libraries since it uses scons. Here is a what the README says...

Compiling for lua 5.1

Starting from version 1.0.8pre1, tolua++ can be compiled with both lua 5.0 and
5.1. Both versions will output the same code, and the C API (tolua++.h) is the
same.

The build system is not yet ready to detect/decide when to compile for 5.1,
the easiest way right now is to add a file called 'custom.py' on the root of
the package, with the following:

## BEGIN custom.py
CCFLAGS = ['-I/usr/local/include/lua5.1', '-O2', '-ansi']
LIBPATH = ['/usr/local/lib']
LIBS = ['lua5.1', 'dl', 'm']
tolua_bin = 'tolua++5.1'
