Jul 8, 2010i have recently configured squid with dansguardian. Squid was running on a whitelist mode, meaning i deny every single traffic, and allow traffic that matches with what i allow only.
this however, introduced a problem where i have to manually update the list of sites allowed for kids, which is not efficient. is there any websites where i can use' wget' to download recommended websites for kids, and plug it into the list of allowed websites.
or I'm thinking that maybe if there's some way to write a script where it will automatically add the search results to the list, from reliable search engines like www.kidrex.org.

May 10, 2011I'm looking for a script that can be run regularly with Cron.
Check a folder for Rar files every few minutes, Unrar if present, and delete the left over files once done.
Be able to specify the directory of which folder to watch within the script.
Run an extension white list (.avi, .mkv, .mp4) and blacklist (rar files) of files to be moved.
Specify within the script which folder to move found files to.
I've seen a few online that does some of this or much more than this but I'm looking for something that just does this in a simple and efficient way... (Also for the life of me, I just can't get how to edit this to do what I'm looking for)

My questions are:
1. How much space do we need?
2. Since we might setup repository for another distro, is it a way to be done with other distro? The above address describes only how to make it in Fedora.

I've done a lot of googling but so far no success have been able to configure sendmail with cyrus but can't connect the outlook to the server. I've come across certain documentation that says it requires to configure saslauthd. Is there any way i can create a mail server to which users can connect and download their mails. Shall i switch to postfix and dovecot instead? Is that easier?

And while the CentOS part went perfect the Fedora part is causing major trouble.But first things first, here's the setup: a central CentOS 5.5 server is running Apache2 and has a VirtualHost listening on Port 8080 for both CentOS and Fedora. The DocumentRoot for this VirtualHost is /data/repo wherein two directories, centos and fedora, reside.
This is the .repo-file for CentOS that works like a charm:

Jul 15, 2010I have just configured a Directory Server and I have been able to login using the credentials as a Directory Manager on the server.
I am working on the server through VMWare.
After logging into the server, when I am trying to add a user, say "user1" I am unable to do so, in the name of the user name field, all I can see is a "u" and not the complete user name, the same thing happens in case I try to setup a password, so i really don't know whether the password that I am setting up is being accepted or not.
Also while trying to add a user, i can see the logs running in the background on the terminal, that a java program is running as I typing or clicking on any button.
Can someone suggest me what to do to proceed ahead, I know its a strange issue, but I have to do it.
