I am trying to read a file uploaded by a simple <input type="file"> form and directly write it to a mysql blob - without saving it to the filesystem.

It writes some few Bytes to the DB and there is no error, but it's not the actual file that is being written.
I'm having a very strange problem. I use lampp on centOS linux. My application has a upload Script (in PHP) which uploads file to file system. after upload and moving file to correct location, uploaded files are getting deleted. I check file upload and moving of file by putting all the status in a text log file. files are getting uploaded properly and after upload I'm able to move the files to it's correct location.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an rsync server and am now setting up cwrsync on my windows machine. I want to be able to run cwrsync over ssh with public private keys. I followed a tutorial over here to set this up. It, however, still prompts me for server password and works only if I provide the password. For some reason the public/private key process is not working.
- I generated a key using the command: ssh-keygen -t rsa -N '' (I verified the key gets generated on my Windows machine)
- I uploaded the generated file id_rsa.pub to server /root/.ssh/authorized_keys
I am also prompted for a password if from command prompt I run this command to log into server: ssh -i c:docume~1user.sshid_rsa root@<server_ip_address> On server I have changed the configuration file (/etc/ssh/ssh_config) to say:
RSAAuthentication yes
PubkeyAuthentication yes
I then restarted the sshd service, however, to no avail.
I am working on building a customized ISO image of a server based on linux. The thing is after the server is installed and run for the first time, three users have to be created for the various services to run properly. I want this to be automated. To achieve this what is was thinking is automatically enter the user entries in the /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow files through init scripts when the server starts for the first time after the installation. I tried creating user and assigning password in one of my machine, and the /etc/passwd and the /etc/shadow entries of this user I copied it into the other machine and tried login in on the other machine and everything worked fine. How I am trying to achieve this.

Alright running a ubuntu based webserver. The app will be accepting user uploaded files from my client's clients. My client will then need to download an access the files. I'm looking for a solution to scan for windows malware at the time of upload so I never expose her machine directly to her client's uploads.

I think this goes here, but I'm not sure. I decided that XAMPP had been troublesome enough. MySQL never worked. So I decided to instal the LAMP stack offered by YaST. I went about installing it thinking that it would all work. But it seems that I was wrong. So I try to start mysql, and here's what I get:

i am using liferay5.2(mysql included in the download pack) on fedora. while liferay is working fine but i cannot connect to mysql.i am getting the error

i didnt find the mysql.sock file in the location /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock. i cannot find the portal-ext.properties file also to make intial settings.
We have 2 servers, 1 is the webserver and the other is the Mysql server.
When transfering a 2GB file from the webserver to the Mysql server.
The webserver's connection to the mysql DB server dies completely.
Need to restart the MYSQL process in order for it to come back online.
During this connection downtime, when using phpmyadmin on the mysql server shows no problem running queries etc.
i need your help for executing an script to copy data from upload folder to some other after successful upload. Do you have any idea for this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a vsftp server running, and we have problems sporadically where people (not the person who uploaded the file) cannot delete files uploaded from OSX machines. We never have this problem with files uploaded by PCs. Anyone ever heard of this or know what I should check? The users uploading the files all belong to the same group. Also, I think if you log in to the FTP server with another OSX machine, it will let you delete them. I'm looking at the folders now, they have drwxrwxr-x. When i try to delete them from a PC, it gives me a 550 Remove directory operation failed.

I'm looking for a tool that can directly convert mp3 file to a swf file. Tried ffmprg - 'ffmpeg -i master.mp3 -ar 22050 -ab 32 -f swf -y -vn new.swf', output is as follows:

I found a way to perform this task using ffmpeg to convert the mp3 file to a wav file, and converting the wav into a swf file using swftools (wav2swf), although this is not a good option because the output swf file size is very big - for a 12mb input 320kbps stereo mp3 file, the swf file is 25mb. Also downloaded a free direct mp3 to swf conversion software, which had an output swf file - with the same 12mb mp3 file - of ~400kb.
The requirements I have from the tool are:
1. Can be ran from the shell.
2. Direct conversion, or an indirect one that will produce a small output swf file.
3. Suport for multiple file conversion is a plus.
We have been struggling with a problem with the mysql-server package. This might be in the wrong category because our problems are with it on x86_64. Where the problem happens variables that should populate from the my.cnf don't, on other servers, they do, the my.cnf files are identical except for the server-id
The problem occurs on some of our machines but not others. All are using the mysql-server-5.0.45-7.el5.x86_64 The ones that work, when you connect with a client respond with server version 5.0.45-log source distribution The ones that don't work respond with 5.0.45 source distribution
It's unclear what the differences are between the two source versions and how we wind up with two different versions. One thing that might be involved, the mysql package is installed with both the i386 and x86_64

I think that there was no root user, when mysql was freshly installed. Unfortunately i did everything i can find on internet (some tutorials) but they don`t helped me at all, maybe i fu**ed up the mysql service. So i reinstalled it, and when i want to start it there is no file mysql.sock and i get the following:

I've been attempting to set up a LAMP for local web development, which meant installing mysql-server. But now have a problem when trying to run mysql, I get:-

When trying to downgrade mysql-server I saw that there are dependency problems between the various modules (but can't recall which). But whichever route I truied the results are always the same.
Thought about trying XAMPP but I note that even has it's problems, is there any way I can get a lamp set up on FC14, or must I give it up as a bad job.
Howver, just been trying to again to fix the problems with downgrading mysql and get:-
